Hi, nice & sunny today!☀️ The shopping centres are definitely quieter than usual, thanks for the look. ~ I think they spoiled Aberdeen by closing Union Street to traffic. The life has gone from the City Centre, it's sad to see so many closed shops. Have a good Christmas 😻🏴
I'm not sure what they were thinking by closing it the way they did. The area around Union Square is similar as well. That was just closed and it doesn't seem to make sense and still causes some confusion. Hope you have a good Christmas!
Aye, I moved away fro Aberdeen (born and bred Torry Loon!) about 15 years ago, and last summer hired a car just to go back to the city and have a drive about. Ended-up inadvertently, accidentally driving on those absurd cash-cow 'bus gates', every second corner I bloody turned - jeez, what the hell has the Council done to ma' city, f.f.k's sakes?????? That was an expensive car hire, I'll tell you ....... 3 x £30 fines!!!! Union St was fairly run-down even before I moved away, but these bus-gates will definitely sound the death-knell for Union Street. Christ, I was even caught-out with them on Bedford Road, of all places!!!
My point of reference is going to be different, regardless. It was quieter than I had seen since arriving here. Also, you must bear in mind, my last "home" has 17+ million people living there, so it is all relative.
