Great video! I think it would be very important to explain the utility of verifying signatures on binaries and the importance to double-check signatures with other sources.
When I connected Sparrow wallet to the Fulcrum server, connection was successful but I didn't get a message saying "Batched RPC enabled". It only said" Connected to Fulcrum 1.7.0 on protocol version 1.4 Server Banner: Connected to a Fulcrum 1.7.0 server" Is there something additional I need to do? or it doesn't matter that I didn't get that message?
Sooo is it just me or is anyone else scratching their heads on how to launch the Sparrow application on the local machine's monitor? 😅 A moment ago we were remoting accessing the nodebox from the command line.. stumped
Thanks again for another excellent tutorial. A question regarding hardware wallet accounts made on Sparrow that you did not cover: In the Settings tab, there is a button to "Add Account...", with an option to add accounts of #1-#9. What does this do exactly? And are there any implications for privacy (for example, having KYC BTC on one "account" and non-KYC BTC on another "account")? Thank you in advance.
You are using a different derivation path. Segregating funds like no-kyc and kyc is a good way to do this, whilst using the same seed. Read the info in the docs here. www.sparrowwallet.com/docs/coldcard-wallet.html#bonus-adding-an-account
@@MinistryofNodes Ah, thank you for the resource sir! I had looked through Sparrow docs for this before and must have missed it! Your videos have helped me run my own node on virtualbox for some time now. Thank you.
@@MinistryofNodes At the minute 5:45 you show your IP address without any concern. I'm not very practical, and I showed mine to an unknown person who helped me with the installation, but I don't really know if it can be dangerous and if with the same dates he could enter remotely in my computer/net and steal my data, wallet...? Help me, now I can't sleep due to this idea. Thank you
What connection details should i used if i just setup this nodebox on the same computer im using Sparrow?, i didn´t go for the headless ssh option, i just wanted to have a nodebox like in the previous editions but using Fulcrum
@@MinistryofNodes Hello, thx a lot for all you share! How do we figure out what port to use? Is this based on our computer's IP? Similar set up here - all in same machine. Thx in advance :)

This is a top tier explanation mate. Thank you
thanks for this great series of btc education.
Is it possible to run whirlpool with sparrow wallet in the background of that node box?
No where on Sparrow's webpage does it say "sudo dpkg -i ....." Screwing around for a half hour trying to find the command line... haha! Thanks.
On a watch only wallet, can you manually type in the xpub rather than use an SD card?
Curious too

All of these 3 options will work.
- The internal IP address of your computer (eg 192.168.1.5)
- 127.0.0.1
- localhost
