I rewatched/listened and rewatched your original visits to that room. They sounded fantastic even through youtube and headphones. I definitely want to listen to them in a halfway decent room.
Can you speak to the comparison of maybe the Linkwitz system you've heard? Same kind of disappearing and ....? Bass quality? Love those acoustic elegance woofers!
Between the show coverage and this call, it seems they have created something sounding great. There is a lot of experimentation on the DIYAudio open baffle forum along this line. The part I don't get is how bass can work. I run open baffle with very large baffle on the bass, and it rolls off as physics predicts. Without massive active amplification, I don't know how you get bass below 50 Hz.
As I mentioned, that was my concern too, but both Robert and I were surprised. At some point, the room will play a greater role but they seem to achieve a high benchmark for most all reasonable size rooms at decent listening levels. You can always add a sub if necessary.
meh. TOO MUCH Money to burn that only very few people can afford to lose.. i mean. they do sound REALLY NICE. but not enough to justify paying 120K for a pair. IMO of course. there are a few GREAT open Baffle Speakers that cost far. far. far less than those I-O Design Naked... thank you . great episode as always
if they want to be successful in the U.S., i think they need to make it easier to find their website, or some other website with info about their products. i've been searching for 10 minutes with no success.
what is the difference between the I/O and the Kyron from Australia. certainly driver selection but the idea is not new. People have been there and done that. not saying that they don't perform well, just saying the the concept is not new.
Had exactly the same thought ... Kyronaudio have better industrial design and have been in the marketplace for at least 20+ years. About time the Texans looked a little further South 😊
What tests do you want done at an audio show? I provided music clips plus subjective reports and have connections for a dealer to hear them yourself. If you're thinking of spending this type of money on speakers, you need to factor into the budget a trip to hear them first hand like I've done first hand with Metaxas and others... No "test" is going to be enough.
Thanks for your videos Jason 👍 and your hard work 😓 for editing the videos
My pleasure!

I'll try to do a video with more details in the future

@@AudiophileJunkie I too wanted to hear your thoughts on the comparison of the IO and Linkwitz

There is no magic in audio.
There is no magic, but just because you haven't heard or seen something done before doesn't mean it's magic.
@@AudiophileJunkie I own a pair of AE dipole 18, playing with a pair of my own ribbons
You had me at Halloween shopping. 👻💀

They are working on the website
OK, I'll take you word that they sound good, but they look like, lets just say not for me.

Yes.. It's not common, but kryon is similar... Basically the only one
@@AudiophileJunkie Basically the only one???? not sure I understand ....
Had another listen to the Kyron’s at the recent Sydney HiFi show. Easily the best sound I’ve personally heard.

So much talk about how good they are, without any audio test????
