Bears fan here also, so happy for this Lions team. All year been happy for them, but this is silly. So glad I stopped paying for TV because this season has been so “exciting” in the final moments it cant be real anymore.

Thank you! I've been saying that since last night when I saw him pass up on that chip shot FG. Low scoring game, points are scarce, you take what you can get when you can get it. That 3 points was going to be critical at the end of the game. Campbell is a very good coach but he needs to understand game situation and field position a little better.

I yelled out "decker eligible! Decker eligible!" Inside a crowded bar 3 seconds before the snap. It was obvious to me and decker didnt even report to me
It was blatantly obvious. Brad Allen’s story isn’t logical. Skip didn’t even make it to him before he turned and ran away. It was the most egregious blunder I’ve ever seen, I’ve seen them all watching this team. Allen had the audacity to double down on his story after the game reiterating Skipper reported, and Decker did not, despite the fact we all saw Decker report on the broadcast. It’s gone beyond a “mistake”. I hope the NFL cans him before the playoffs. It was too egregious, in too critical a moment, on too big a stage. My only concern is that with a full slate of games tomorrow, our Saturday night disaster gets the volume turned down. I’m really hoping the unafraid national media personalities highlight and roast this egregious win-stealer of a “penalty” and obliterate the joke of an alibi that Allen is proclaiming as truth.

Im not a Lions fan but this team earned my complete respect tonight. Completely BS call that stole the game from them. I feel bad for these guys. Ill be cheering them on in the playoffs.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m upset that we lost. But on the other hand the lions played great tonight, and showed that they can play against a playoff level team. What’s also amazing to me is that the held Dallas to only 20 points at home. The defense has some bad plays sure, but they are showing some improvements. Ik I shouldn’t be proud of a loss, but if the defense plays like this the rest of the season and post-season we will be pretty solid.

Defense shows we have no answers for anything beyond 10 yards. There was a clear hold on the 92 yard TD, but the DBs shouldnt trip on their own feet either.

As a lions fan, I think there's an argument to be made the cowboys should have won/are the better team. Allegedly the tripping penalty that sets up 1st and 25 with 2:30 left was a mis-call in our favor. The cee dee fumble touchback is bs. There's maybe 14 points we were gifted.
That being said there's allegedly holding on the 92 yarder and the 68 not reporting bs went against us.
I'm shocked we didn't run that well on you. I'm shocked at our line play. I think this could go either way.

I give a lot of credit for the Lions on how well they played on defense and along with Goff throwing some long passes as well.

It was a close game. There was 23 seconds left even if my team was up by a point. My Lions played their hearts out, and there is never any shame in that!! GO LIONS! 🦁

I’m a packer fan and have a lot of respect for Dan. They reported correctly and got wronged, it’s not okay. The NFL needs to address this.

Terrible call, 68 went up clearly and told the ref, they mixed Taylor up with 70 and that’s what coast the 2 point conversion. It sucks cause Dan has to act like decker didn’t report so he doesn’t get fined, sad what the nfl has become nfl but it is what it is we move on to the next game.
He didn’t act like Decker didn’t report, he kept saying “that was the explanation given” to absolve himself of a fine. He didn’t say whether Decker did or didn’t report, only what “the explanation given” was
Brad saw #70 30 yards away from him and ruled him reported. but not #68 who is in front of him smh..
2 non-eligible receivers cannot report at the same time. Once 70 was reported eligible, 68 was no longer allowed to run a route and catch a pass. Besides that he was lined up illegally as well. You can take your pick of the illegal things he did on that play lol either way it was the correct call

This team is the toughest team, I've seen in a long, long time that doesn't give up and gives their all. It was a great game for them to get ready for the playoffs and a great learning lesson. Bring it on for our Lions are hungry for victory. From a Vietnam Era Marine Corps veteran.

Ref blew that call! Decker reported while the ref was looking at #70. Bottom line the ref blew it.
This is the first situation where i am actually wondering if it really was rigged since the whole crowd and joe buck knew the lions won. I think it may have had to do with jimmy johnson going in the hof at halftime so they didnt want a loss at home for that.

I'm neutral re: both of these teams. But I believe the Lions got hosed. I recall that a probably long-transitioned former referee said, "The game needs to be decided by the players, not by the officials."

Ryan Clark on ESPN breaks the 2 point conversion down quite well in the You Tube video (simply cut and paste for the search): "Serious failure on refs - Ryan Clark on Lions line up LEGALLY & PERFECTLY in losing to Cowboys 20-19" Ryan essentially proves that the Lions got screwed potentially from the #1 seed which is home field advantage to the Superbowl if Philly loses to NY. The Lions won this game and the refs stole it for the Cowboys. It stinks like a giant steaming pile of 💩💩💩

There has to be an angle of the ref telling the defense who reported. Get a lip reader that clip. It's probably pretty obvious he's telling the defense 68 is eligible, seeing as it appears he looks at Decker and nods before walking away.
Dallas fan here, Detroit clearly should've won this game, they took care of business tonight and were the better team. Tired of refs determining outcomes of games (not just this one), and I genuinely feel bad your y'all, especially Dan Campbell as he is a real one and is easily my coach of the year. Y'all have a legitimate team here and I expect to see this Detroit team in the Super Bowl in the coming years (or at least the NFC Championship). Dallas will see you again soon and good luck to y'all in the playoffs!

@@akilfahd Was the highlight play of the night for sure. We can do a lot better as an offense though. And it starts with the play calling issues we had. Shotgun draw plays on short down/distance for negative yards repeatedly were horrible play call decisions.
