The only thing holding this back from being 100% believable is how dang SMOOTH it is! And even then, it speaks to your strength as an animator. Mario, Mallow, and Peach especially have incredibly wel-translated dances. Such a joy to see!

I wonder what it would be like if there was a Game Boy Advance version of SMRPG...like what would've been if the Mario and Luigi series didn't start yet. If that ever came to fruition...this feature would probably be there first, then the Switch remake.
Sorry if I am late, I watched this video when it was on Christmas Day but I failed to make a response because the kids were over and I didn’t see this video again until good recommendations today. I love how you took inspiration from the HD 3D Remake to put effort in with the Sprites new poses and dances. Especially replacing the Peace sign like Nintendo felt on doing. You did a really good job on creating this. Nintendo would especially really appreciate this too.
Cute and really well done! Though something feels almost cursed about it to me lol. Prob just seeing those SNES sprites I've seen for hundreds of hours to move in ways I'm not used to.
miyamoto wanted the peace sign in the mario titles to be banned because he wanted make sure people would not only know mario for the gesture. he lifted up the ban for few several games like odyssey and 3d all stars.
Wow, I thought I had never seen that in Snes animation, even if someone made a hack like that of the Super Mario RPG on the Snes, it would be surprising to make the improvements and apply them in a hack.
I myself have known how to hack SMRPG for many years, I can do anything in this game and maybe try to make them dance in the game... because it's already very difficult to hack normally. lol
@@NatanAnimates The rom hack is possible knowing how to do it but sometimes altering the original story of the game is somewhat complicated, I remember several years ago someone wanted to make a rom hack where Yoshi was going to be playable, but because Yoshi is an NPC, he has no animation victory had limitations when you do not have enough sprites for the character to have what it takes to be in the game
now make this a mod for those who wants to play the deluxe version on the original SNES version through a emulator, its for those who don't want to pay for the switch release
@@XDanW91 I assure you, the SNES could animate sprites this smoothly. Again, DKC. It's common for that game to animate its characters at around every other frame on average, sometimes animating characters on every single frame. It's evident as early as DK's dancing animations on the intro just after the company logos. Both DKC and SMRPG run at 60 FPS as well. ua-cam.com/video/jHqUP5QuFXU/v-deo.html
The remake feels like if it's a complete game. The snes game is not as complete as i thought it is. Paper Mario 64 should be remade maybe there are more after defeating Bowser.
Simple... I'm a huge SMRPG fan and hacker of this game for years, and I'm also an animator/pixel artist... I saw their dance in the remake and made ALL THEM's sprites exactly the same for this version of this game.
I love Geno's awkward little shuffle. It just fits his character so perfectly.
I mean, is a character that never had legs before, so make sense that he just shuffle awkwardly xD
"Oh, they are making rhythmic movements when they level up. I must join in!"
This Bowser dance makes me laugh just as much as the original (well, 2023 version) did

Peach is so adorable. She's like one of those Hawaiian bobblehead things you get for your car.
thank God they made a remake ❤

That one was developed by Alphadream who went bankrupted. Assuming their copyright died with them, that may not happen.

Imagine doing that Barrel Counting minigame in Bowser’s Castle on a tiny GBA screen, that would’ve been difficult.
Oh shit that sprite work! Amazing job

Geno's the most adorablest thing.
This is the best thing recommended to me in awhile :)
So cute!
Clever
The Peach one is so well made that scare me xD
I don’t know why but seeing snes graphics move all modern like feels so cursed to me 😂
This looks cool!
Oh how delightful
I have no idea why but I need a rom hack of Mario rpg with this level up dance 😖😖

Dance Everybody, DANCE! :D
It wasn’t until the ending message that I realized that this wasn’t official mainly because I never played the original.
but it is even possible to put this in a game hackrom and play it to see them dance.
i didnt understand that i was looking at something fanmade at first😭

way better than Fortnite dance emotes tbh lmfao 🤣
would look better if you did an actual sprite animation. the smoothness makes it look a bit uncanny.

The only characters that kind of sync with the music are Mario and Bowser.
