Loved this movie. Bill Murray films always bring out the full range of emotions. This movie was no different...I laughed, cried, worried...loved every minute.

Just got home from seeing this movie. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one. It's a multi-layered gem of a movie. You will laugh, cry and cheer. Positive and uplifting, I think this one will stay with me for a good while. You leave the theater feeling good for a change, while still wiping tears away from the final scenes. And Bill Murray does not die in this movie!!

Great story, great acting. And yes I admit I cried for the last 45min of the movie. Best movie ever!

back in comedy? the grand budapest 2014, moonrise kingdom 2012, zombieland 2009, get smart 2008, the darjeeling limited 2007. list could go on.
astroception I would say Wes Anderson films he played more of a straight man character, and Anderson's movies are more of a dramady than straightforward comedy like this.
Cameos like in Zombieland don't count, he played himself. Get Smart might be the closest time he played a semi-comedic character.

Oh boy, I couldn't hold myself, can't remember how many times I cried watching this movie.
I saw this movie knowing it will be a drama/comedy but had no expectations and to my surprise it was really good. You will laugh, you will cry, and be surprised by actress Melissa M. This movie is one of those uplifting movies that is still grounded in real life.

For anyone wondering, the last song is "Further On," and it's by a great band called Bronze Radio Return. They've been featured in a lot of commercials and also played the Bonnaroo and Firefly festivals, and Lollapalooza next month!

This looks surprisingly good. I wasn't sure what to think with Melissa McCarthy attached to the film, but I'm looking forward to this very much now!
And don't get me wrong, I like Melissa McCarthy, but she does tend to play very similar characters. This looks like a nice change.

It may not look much from the trailers and at first glance but watch it all the way through and you’ll be surprised. Funny and dramatic all at the same time. Sad and touching with the underlying message that there is hope. I tell you, I shed tears man. There’s a moment in the movie where the waterworks comes out and you can’t turn it off.
If a movie moves you like that, you know you got a winner.
My sister and I had originally planned to see Ouija last night, but we were like 10 minutes late so I suggested we see St. Vincent, I think we made the perfect choice. This is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, and I'll be damned if it isn't nominated for an Oscar.

Loving him in Broken Flowers, Lost In Translation, What About Bob, The Funeral Party, Groundhog Day, Quick Change ... hell, even Ghostbusters and Space Jam. He is just such a character actor. I need to see this as well....

it was an absolute refreshing experience to see Melissa take on a different role than her usual, dumbed down character roles. I put off watching this movie just because she was in it. I regret not seeing this sooner than today.

St Vincent is a brilliant movie that made me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time!Brilliant acting from all the leading cast, particularly young Jaeden Martell. Melissa McCarthy got to display her usual quick humour alongside her more serious side, while Bill Murray excelled in the role of the brave, grumpy old man. Chris O’Dowd was brilliant as the Irish-American priest. I loved the soundtrack, especially the song ‘Shelter from the Storm’ and Bill Murray’s rendition of it during the rolling credits. Very entertaining! Thank you.

Just saw this movie. Loved it. We all have our fights and sometimes it might make us look like we are indifferent to the rest of the world, but it’s just we are busy with our own preoccupations.

Bill Never disappoints me, at first glance I thought this was going to be a boring religious movie, so I steer away from it for sometime, i'm glad I took the chance to watch it, really good movie, not full of comedy, but at least it is not "Forced comedy" as I've seen in other "Comedy" movies, this is fun, and entertaining while delivering a subtle message: Even if your life breaks down, it will always find a way to get fix again" at least for me. Overall 8/10

This was a great film, good to see a comedian who doesn't become unfunny and accept any old script just because they went over 60 :) Bill works well with kids, reminded me a little of "What about Bob", which imho is his funniest film :)

This 8s a wonderful film. All the characters hit their arc. Hilarious and moving like life. I was invested with every character and hated to see it end. Please, do yourself a favor and see it. Enjoy.

Bill at his best, the trailer doesn't do it justice, one of the best movies I have seen in along time.

It was produced In 2014 and its 2022 and I just saw it on Netflix without ever knowing about it. It feels like a 2014 movie when times were better for me. I think it's one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. I got a little teary eyed, and I chuckled. It was entertaining!
Not sure if I would watch again but I'm glad I did watch it. Bill Murray is so good and So is melissa and the other actors!! Would recommend.
