Well, I am not sure, why don't you write them and ask them? I did. I composed a letter, translated it to Japanese, and sent it to their management, their individual accounts, and the contact listed on their official page. I was very specific with my intent and tossed in the request for a brief interview as well. To be specific, I told them I would be attending from out of state and bringing camera equipment to take photos and videos at their show. I added that if it was possible I would be honored to be able to conduct a brief interview. I explained that I realized I was nobody in the reaction arena, but it never hurts to ask. I even said to let me know if there are any issues. I received no response. This indicates to me that they understand that their fans LOVE any and all access to their music that may be available. If they file a claim for revenue, I won't fight it and I will let them have whatever a pittance it may earn without protest. Any other questions?
From the experience of the European & UK Tour LOVEBITES 2024 was not angry by the European wolfpack bootleg. They're happy because the wolfpack grow with the love of fans. LOVEBITES didn't ask not photo or no video. I was in Paris on 25 th of june 🇨🇵. Asami come to see the first row and give check salute at lots of fan. Me included.
I truly respect your passion and determination in flying all the way to Dallas for LOVEBITES’ concert.🤘 A few years ago, I first saw them on UA-cam, and it blew my mind. I wanted to see them live, but it had been decades since I last went to a rock concert, so I had no idea what modern rock concerts were like. I worried if I could stand for hours and what to do if I needed to use the restroom. It made me really anxious. Then a comment from a British fan struck me: 'I have to see LOVEBITES no matter what. I’ll fly thousands of miles to Japan, and if I run out of money, I’m ready to end up in an almshouse.' And in the spring of 2023, he actually went to Japan and saw them, just a few feet from Asami. That story inspired me. Since then, I’ve been to two of their concerts, and I plan to go again next year. You’re absolutely right. They are worth seeing.
Thank you for the effort to review this show. I was in Atlanta, LA and SF but missed Dallas. LA and SF were much smaller--SF was only 300 capacity. But instead of dialing it it, the band were totally hyped. And they seemed to bond with the crowd. One young woman in the front row had her hands up and Asami came and clasped her hands. There were some tears for sure. They are simply a mind-blowing band, and we will probably never again see them in such a small venue. I feel lucky to have been there.
Greetings from Germany and many thanks for your reactions, which I always enjoy. I can very much relate to what you're saying. I went to my first Lovebites concert over here in June. The venue was appearantly a similar size to the place in Dallas, and I was a little disappointed at frist because clearly it was not as epic as their shows in Japan - but the girls totally rocked the place and everybody was having a great time. I'm totally impressed not only by the incredible talent of the band as musicians, but also by the immense amount of friendliness they radiate - something that is absolutely precious in these times and such a nice contrast to the "I hate the world and want to destroy everybody"-attitude of many bands.
Thanks Pent! As a former drummer (no longer since my RUSH days) I am enthralled with Haruna. She's metal, she's hard rock, and she's what is known as a "Show" drummer, in every sense of the word. Tireless, relentless, fierce, tasteful and a joy to watch. At 75 years I thought my enjoyment of music was fading out, but these ladies in particular keep me checking my sub in box every day in anticipation. Appreciate your enthusiasm as well. Good luck to you!
I bought the VIP/Meet and Great pass and dealt with the issues you are talking about. Basically the entire back line and sound and drums were rented. A friend of mine works at Echo and said the sound console rented failed and had to be replaced. I could sense the frustration of the band dealing with their in ear monitors and so forth. Merch line was too long and I chose to stand front and center for the most epic show ever! Hope I can find that tee your wearing at some point because I was wanting it so badly. But man once the show started they were everything I hoped for and more! Epic Epic show! I got a Midori pick as well too! The only song I recorded fully was Shadowmaker. BTW, I'm 56 too and other than Maiden, have never been this excited to see a band live. We got to witness arguably the best musicians in the world on the same stage. I'm a guitar player but would get mesmorized by Haruna playing since I had a great view. You saw Fami serious face only on Judgement Day, but that appeared planned. Otherwise her smiley energy is amazing. Of course Miyako and Midori are the cream of the crop. Asami hit some glass shattering highs! I agree it was criminal the Dallas show was not sold out.
Wow! That definitely explains the delay! I am surprised that a music venue had to rent a sound board... They sound a bit hinky to me... but, they did finally get it squared away. Despite all that, the ladies put on a HELL OF A SHOW!
Hey man, great commentary! I'm a fellow pentagenarian that flew 2,000 miles for this show and was on the rail directly in front of Fami. Wish I would have recognized you and said howdy. You mentioned the soundcheck, they had technical difficulties with the IEM system would have probably caused the show to get canceled if Miyako didn't figure it out at the last second, that's why it went almost 2 hours over and they started late. Also had issues with Fami's wireless which is why she was using a cable unlike Midori and Miyako. The only song Fami wasn't in full grin mode was Judgement Day and I think they told her not to smile in that song because it's serious, lol. I can't say enough about Asami who was a little under the weather and Haruna who was using a generic rental drum kit that she didn't even see until that day. And everyone still sounded incredible. What pros!
Thank you for the additional info on that sound check! It would have been good to meet you. I think next time I'm just going to take the hair and stand it straight up with a combo of pair of glue and hairspray, that way no one will ever miss me. LOL The fact that haruna played like that on a rented drum kit is amazing. I agree 100% - pure professionalism!
@@ThePentagenarian I think the drum kit was a hybrid. At ProgPower, her setup was just as she likes it, with some of her cymbals very high. No other drummer got anywhere close to her setup. I bet she brought her own cymbals (she definitely had her star cymbal) and they had to combine everything to her specifications. To me, it is her extraordinary cymbal work, as well as her feet, that put her very high on the list of best drummers in the world. Other than some of the songs you mentioned, other highlight songs at ProgPower were Unchained (I knew it was going to be a great live song), Soldier Stands Solitarily (a masterpiece), and We The United (I knew if they ended with that song, I would get misty eyed - and I very much did). Edit: I bought the same Lovebites shirt at ProgPower and I am glad I braved the very long initial merch line. I heard that people that changed into that shirt were being offered $100+ for them later in the day. I wore a Deep Purple tour shirt and I am glad I did, because Miyako, Haruna and Fami all commented on it when I went through signing line (which was probably the longest meet line of the entire festival). Asami wasn't present because she was trying as much as possible to get her voice 100% for the show.
@@danw6048 You are the third or fourth person to say that about the shirt! LOL I just thought I had to have it. When I saw the signs of the crowd I knew that it wouldn't be a problem getting up close, so that's why I braved the merch line.
exactly the post show recap i expected...if you´re in the room with these girls you leave a very happy bunny and yes asami is super funny and bubbly although she arrived a little under the weather and you probably saw her at only 80% of her abilities - still enough to impress the sh*t outta you
Phenomenal show, the ladies didnt disappoint! Was good to meet you at the show. I ended up right in front of Midori, one back from the rail. A show i will remember forever!
One thing I love them so much is that they are showing very different personalities on stage, and that WAS like that in Dallas. Yes, Asami was funny positive stage boss. Midori no doubt was a born rock’nroller. Miyako was seriously focusing on the perfection without showing no interest other than that. Fami was hopping and smiling around on her play ground what we call concert stage. Haruna was emitting absolute cutie on her killing 16 beat. Besides stunned by their eye popping performance, I sometimes literally laughed at these confirmation on their attitude. That was another joy of watching them. I have fully enjoyed it. Ah, regarding Asami’s lean back and waving her hand, I think that is her clever performance to entertain us and to show her body more visible. I keep watching your channel.
It was good to meet you as well! It was definitely a different experience going to a concert and having people tell me that they watch me and like what I do. In fact, I would recommend going to concerts to any reactor because not only is the music invigorating, but meeting one person that tells you that they are a subscriber and they love what we do, well, it will definitely put some air under their wings and supercharge them. Nitt Picc was such a sweetheart to talk to!
I'm so glad you had such a good experience. I live in LA but am unable to go to their concert tonight. I'm getting up in years and it's getting more and more difficult to get around. I just wouldn't be able to stand for the entire show. While I won't be able to be there in person, I will be there in spirit! Take care!
One thing to consider - most early entry passes include lounge access. When I go to see Jinjer and Hanabie on the 22nd, I popped the extra $40 for valet parking and the lounge. THAT is a show I may not be able to get as close as I like, and if that is the case, well, I will just walk my tire bones up the stairs instead of the edge of the balcony and watch.
Wow!!! I'm glad you enjoyed the show so much. Yes, ASAMI in Japan does the same when singing long notes in songs like "The Hammer of Wrath", "Shadowmaker" and so... One exception is in the "E" song "Edge of the World" when she sings a capella: "What is at the end of liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife!!!"... ASAMI is funny when it comes to the MCs in their live shows and always smile and react to what the crows yells to them. The videos from the reactors do not include those MCs, but if you watch the completes live concerts videos, you can see that. 🐺🐺🐺
Anyone who has the opportunity to see Lovebites live, do it. I saw them here in Germany and floated back to the hotel. I only saw Haruna briefly at the end, I thought it was a robot playing (you never know with Japan ;) ) She was just perfect. Fami , just as you described it. Midori and Miyako just perfect in the game and a good show from both, not exaggerated. Asami , she was born for the stage, that's all you need to know. I can agree with you on all points. But what was also amazing at my concert was the interaction between everyone (Haruna definitely too), as there was no aisle between the front row and the stage, you were standing right next to the stage. You had the feeling that they were looking you in the eye and laughing at you personally. They stood together in the middle of the song and laughed for a photo. All 4 of them clapped and shook their fists during the concert and also during the song. Asami, for example, during in the solos. Have now watched 3 Japanese bands this year, once Lovebites, then Hanabie and Fart Gear. I've hardly seen the energy, the positivity, the fun and the skill in the last few decades.
I bought the same shirt as you last June in Paris 😀 Small venue ( barely 500 ) not much place on the stage but they still moved a lot. Lots of energy despite the fact that it was very hot 🥵 I definitely want to see them again as soon as possible. Thanks for your reaction. ❤🇫🇷🤘🏻
Glad you had a great time.🤘🤘 On day I'll get to see them too. I've see Nittpicc a few times, good channel. ok , from what I was able to find, the Dallas setlist: Awakening Hammer of wrath When destinies align Unchained Stand and deliver Shadowmaker Judgement day Raise some hell Solider stands solitarily Don’t bite the dust Rising MDO We the united Glory to the world
That WAS you! lol. I saw you and wondered whether it was you or not. I generally don't like bothering people so I kept to myself. But it was nice seeing you at the show. Glad you had a good time!
One of the issues I'm having with editing is that I forgot that my camera doesn't change orientation on my phone. So where as I was able to tilt the Sony and it would keep the right orientation, I have a whole bunch of footage that is shot sideways and upright. I'm going to be editing that for a while. LOL
Pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the show! It seems the show was about as long as the ones they played in Europe (I attended the two in Belgium and Germany in June), whereas their concert in Tokyo on September 1st was the longest one so far with a playing time of more than two hours. I watched the live-stream (which you had to pay for) and it was fantastic! The performance of "Raise Some Hell" at this concert in Tokyo was the one with the most crowd-interaction so far. I'm sure this concert will also be released on DVD/Bluray, but probably not before next year. As regards Fami, she is indeed a slaphappy bassist (double entendre intended) and Asami is a "stage general" (as another reactor has been stating over and over again in his reactions). I have also noticed on several of their live-recordings that Asami waves with her hand when holding an extended note. While this might look like she is encouraging the audience, I have been wondering if these movements could be a means to somehow support her voice. Also at their shows in Europe, they switched places, so even if you stood in front of the right or left side of the stage, you got to see each of them closely (except for Haruna). At one point, I even got a brief contact with Asami's outstretched hand.
Very cool! The best I got was a response when I raised my fist at Midori and then at Fami and had them respond. I know they were responding to me because I was the only idiot with my fist in the air in that area and I was only 10 feet away. LOL Such a great time watching such professionalism!
Thanks for the review! I am of course not a bit jealous of the fact that You got a chance to see out Ladies Live since I have not. Anyways, its a pleasure to see Your reactions so keep em coming.
You should see the live stream they did last week. Asami shows her sense of humour by pulling faces behind Midori and when all of them (except Haruna) go walkabout amongst the audience whilst performing a song.
P.S. you said in one of your other reactions how you were hoping Lovebites would perform in Wacken some day. As a matter of fact, they already did - in 2018, I believe. This summer they didn't play in Wacken, but a few other festivals across Europe, including Hellfest in France, which is not quite as big, but also a great event and featured great names such as Metallica, Megadeth, Bruce Dickinson and Babymetal this year.
Raise Some Hell, MDO, Stand and Deliver, love me some gang vocals! All athems too, so I can see why those stood out. They require audience participation! Missing Fami's S and D intro. UNACCEPTABLE!😂 Nah, thanks for letting us live vicariously with the recap!🤘✌️
Thin Line Between Love and Hate - Diamonds and Rust is perfect lyrically. Think of the lines- I love you dearly But if your asking me To choose between Diamonds and Rust Well, I've already paid We both know what memories can bring They bring diamonds and Rust Seems VERY appropriate!
9:56 Asami's arm waving on the long notes: apparently that's a technique singers use to help sustain long notes. She's done well considering she was under the weather at the start of the tour. What you describe was very similar to the London show. We couldn't see Haruna either. But there was no doubt she was there.
Thank you for the great review. I was excited because I could feel the excitement in the venue. I'm glad you enjoyed the live show so much. As you said, Asami is a very mischievous woman, but the most mischievous member is Miyako. As an example, this is a scene from an online session.ua-cam.com/video/a9iVssLwvPM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/uwXYm90RdVE/v-deo.html You can clearly understand their personalities, including the other members. I love the gap between their usual friendly and unpretentious appearance and their incredible performance and presence on stage. I hope the poor quality Google translation can convey the meaning...
Saw you at the show but didn't get to say hello. I ended up getting on the rail directly in front of Miyako, got a ton of killer pics, some of them looked right at me when they saw me taking pics. Asami made sure to try and make eye contact with everyone in that venue I'm sure.
Performing in a foreign country is very difficult for Japanese artists. This is because in Japan, in shows and performances, everyone strives for perfection, not just the equipment, in order to entertain the audience. Every technician does their best to achieve the best result... The venue staff keep it clean and safe... And the audience enjoys the feeling of being one with the artists(in this case as the 6th band member) That's why everyone who can understand this wants to come to Japan, I think. Anyway I'm glad you enjoy it. (Can you understand me in my poor English?)
I just hope the girls don't refer to me as the dude that gave him all the beanie babies in Atlanta. And as an inside joke got one particular guitarist a special incredible Hulk beanie baby . Because in the girls recent podcast they were trying to come up with nicknames for each other and she was the Hulk because she was green and strong. Oh my God you got the shirt everybody wanted but it was like literally sold out on day three at Progpower. The day love bites are supposed to perform. And then we look up online and people are trying to turn around and resell them for like $100 it is ridiculous. Now the girls did not have a sound check here in Atlanta because nobody really had much of one it is kind of went on and hope for the best and everybody including Winger had technical problems at the show. Now when it came to a meet and greet what bands were doing autograph signings at what time. But they didn't tell you what table until literally the a few days before which in some cases with Love bites they moved it to a different location because they were expecting a large turnout just not as large as what actually happened we originally were supposed to be able to bring three items and have a picture. They eventually reduced it down to one item no picture and our favorite little voice who will eat everything had to sleep because she ate everything on the plane instead of sleeping so she had to take a nap before the show so most of us only got like four signatures not all five but it was definitely worth it. At the show was totally amazing as a first show that had maybe a 3-minute soundtrack no rehearsal they pulled it off almost flawlessly like I said we had technical issues if you watch the Atlanta show two of the girls had wireless issues there were a couple microphone issues so on and so forth like I said everybody in Atlanta had problems
Do you really think the band appreciate you and others putting up 'bootleg' videos on UA-cam?
Well, I am not sure, why don't you write them and ask them?
I did. I composed a letter, translated it to Japanese, and sent it to their management, their individual accounts, and the contact listed on their official page.
I was very specific with my intent and tossed in the request for a brief interview as well. To be specific, I told them I would be attending from out of state and bringing camera equipment to take photos and videos at their show. I received no response.
This indicates to me that they understand that their fans LOVE any and all access to their music that may be available.
If they file a claim for revenue, I won't fight it and I will let them have whatever a pittance it may earn without protest.
Any other questions?

Awakening
Hammer of wrath
When destinies align
Unchained
Stand and deliver
Shadowmaker
Judgement day
Raise some hell
Solider stands solitarily
Don’t bite the dust
Rising
MDO
We the united
Glory to the world
Thank you!!!!! My Encyclopedia Musica strikes again!
That WAS you! lol. I saw you and wondered whether it was you or not. I generally don't like bothering people so I kept to myself. But it was nice seeing you at the show. Glad you had a good time!
Next time, please come over and say "Hello!" Trust me, it isn't a bother!
I'm very You & Nickpicc , 2 of the reactors i like went to LOVEBITES and had the same experience as me in Paris 🇨🇵. Lovebites is incredible show.
Glad you enjoyed the show, thanks for the review, and cool shirt! 🐺
Thanks for the review of the show and this awesome band ! Stoked that you had a great time. Looking forward to your clips from the concert.
One of the issues I'm having with editing is that I forgot that my camera doesn't change orientation on my phone. So where as I was able to tilt the Sony and it would keep the right orientation, I have a whole bunch of footage that is shot sideways and upright. I'm going to be editing that for a while. LOL
Thank you for your brilliant report.
Thank you! It is always a pleasure!
yes that´s Lovebites - even at small venue they deliver with no hold back - I promised you will have a lot of fun 😀
thank you for this. they all are so amazing. that shirt is my favourite one too. congrats.
nice job with the review glad you enjoyed the metal queens!!! i saw the show in atlanta and it was TREMENDOUS!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Fantastic Review ..really enjoyed 👌🙏
Glad to hear! More to come for Jinjer, Hanabie, The Warning, FAUN, and Baby Metal!
LOL
Such a great time watching such professionalism!
Thanks for the review! I am of course not a bit jealous of the fact that You got a chance to see out Ladies Live since I have not. Anyways, its a pleasure to see Your reactions so keep em coming.
Midori💚💚💚💚💚 lovebites💖💖
Thank you for the review. I love such videos! This is so interesting.
Thank you for the video.
最高🐺
Raise Some Hell, MDO, Stand and Deliver, love me some gang vocals!
All athems too, so I can see why those stood out. They require audience participation!
Missing Fami's S and D intro.
UNACCEPTABLE!😂
Nah, thanks for letting us live vicariously with the recap!🤘✌️
Thank you for your review, living in Australia not sure if they will play here , so I respect this and all reactors to their live stuff.
I didn't get that shirt in Belgium, because my size was sold out (in the second show after London)! Sad!
Bummer! With luck, next time they hit the states they will have more of the larger sizes!
Thanks!!!!! I'm subbed to Nitt Pic also and love her reactions!!!!! Thank you for what you do!!!!!
Always a pleasure!
Diamonds and Rust must be their standard pre-show song. We also got it in London before they came onto stage.
Thin Line Between Love and Hate -
Diamonds and Rust is perfect lyrically.
Think of the lines-
I love you dearly
But if your asking me
To choose between
Diamonds and Rust
Well, I've already paid
We both know what memories can bring
They bring diamonds and Rust
Seems VERY appropriate!
Asami is a mischievous pixie.
Excellent description!
9:56 Asami's arm waving on the long notes: apparently that's a technique singers use to help sustain long notes. She's done well considering she was under the weather at the start of the tour.
What you describe was very similar to the London show. We couldn't see Haruna either. But there was no doubt she was there.
Love it. The audience took it as a cue to get louder and responded in kind. LOL
Thank you for the great review. I was excited because I could feel the excitement in the venue. I'm glad you enjoyed the live show so much.
As you said, Asami is a very mischievous woman, but the most mischievous member is Miyako.
As an example, this is a scene from an online session.ua-cam.com/video/a9iVssLwvPM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/uwXYm90RdVE/v-deo.html
You can clearly understand their personalities, including the other members.
I love the gap between their usual friendly and unpretentious appearance and their incredible performance and presence on stage.
I hope the poor quality Google translation can convey the meaning...
You did great! Thank you for the links. I enjoy learning more about bands I truly love and these ladies are at the top of my list.
Saw you at the show but didn't get to say hello. I ended up getting on the rail directly in front of Miyako, got a ton of killer pics, some of them looked right at me when they saw me taking pics. Asami made sure to try and make eye contact with everyone in that venue I'm sure.
They were all really great at making eye contact with the crowd! It was one of the best shows I have seen in my life.
Performing in a foreign country is very difficult for Japanese artists.
This is because in Japan, in shows and performances, everyone strives for perfection, not just the equipment, in order to entertain the audience.
Every technician does their best to achieve the best result...
The venue staff keep it clean and safe...
And the audience enjoys the feeling of being one with the artists(in this case as the 6th band member)
That's why everyone who can understand this wants to come to Japan, I think.
Anyway I'm glad you enjoy it.
(Can you understand me in my poor English?)
Yes, a certain difference in mentality. . . but also an issue a professional band manager should have anticipated . . .
I understand perfectly! I understand perfectly what you are saying as well. It makes complete sense.
Despite all the issues, it sounds like you still had a BLAST!
