Yeah so I got it before you made this video and it has been a terrible experience. Wired works good for me but when I put the controller in pairing mode for the dongle my controller will just turn off. And for some reason when I put it in switch mode it only has 125hz polling rate and the sticks get a 11 percent error, Xbox layout works flawlessly and so does wired
@@MiBrCo4177 i like it very much ! Only problem is some bugs with the dongle connection but maybe it’s because I did the 1000hz update. I find it better and more comfortable to use only the bluetooth connection , no problems at all ! The controller feels very premium quality

Crazy you had all those issues. I updated dongle and controller and have had zero disconnects or any other issues. Working perfect. I didn't even have to pair the controller with the dongle again
Had mine for a few days now and didn't have any of the issues mentioned. Updated the firmware on the dongle fine, downloaded the software and adjusted it to my liking successfully. This controller checks all the boxes for me: 1) Accurate and smooth feeling thumbsticks 2) Well placed back buttons 3) Remappable everything that you can also apply keyboard shortcuts to ( I use one button for muting sound and another for muting my mic in discord). 4) Solid feeling mouse-click triggers.
I got to agree once you do the firmware update on the dongle, it works fine wireless with the app, I think that's the whole point of the update is to make it work with the software. I've also not had any of these disconnection issues while wireless or wired.

Im glad to hear the worst things about it are not having 4 buttons on the back. I've had no issues with the connect app on my PC. And I'm tired of the xbox shaped shell. I love using the DS4 and this seems to be the next best thing to it. only thing I need to figure out is how to put it to sleep after __ min.
I mentioned in a previous video that I could not get the Gamesir Connect software on PC to update the firmware on the Tarantula Pro. I had to use the mobile version of Connect to update the firmware, which was really odd. But the controller worked just fine afterwards. I was able to bind my rear buttons without issue (paying no mind to the front macro buttons) and the mode-switching and other features worked just fine. That said, I will agree that this controller isn't for everyone, and it could have been so much better. Here's hoping the next version (if there is one) goes more smoothly.
I've had two of these controllers, both failed to upgrade with the Connect app. If you upgrade the controller by paring it to an Android device and update the dongle you will be able to use the Connect program wirelessly. Has to be android, my iphone didn't show any updates for it.
16:30 at the Vader 4 pro teardown he said they don't have a spring so that it's 99,99% Stick Drift Proof. I bought the apex 4, do they have the same sticks or do they have these recenter springs? Since the Vader 4 pro is a few months younger
I highly suspect that your software experience is just unlucky. My keyboard inputs work wired or wireless via dongle and haven't had any connection dropping and I don't need the software open in the background. I do occasionally have an issue using the dongle that's hard to explain but in short my inputs are just wrong. It is definitely worth a video since who knows what issues someone may have with their controller but may be worth a revisit in the future. Especially if most of the issues can be fixed via updates. That thumb stick issue is really weird tho. 12:04 okay wait, this didn't work for me either. I updated the firmware with an app similar to the dongle one you used but it was on their Chinese website and it was for the "Nine Tailed Fox" which is the same controller. That may be the cause of a lot of your issues that I'm not seeing. Gamesir needs to figure it out smh
My gtp dongle refuses to update its firmware no matter what i try and I find it frustrating the controller extra buttons do not work wireless out of the box.
My Tarantula pro which I ordered late last week came with firmware 1.0.4 when I had it this past Sunday. I had the newest Gamesir Connect app installed for Windows and no matter what I did the app would not update the firmware it would just say it failed. I had to connect the controller to my phone and use the phone app to update the firmware. Now that I have the controller in my hands this controller is not a good controller if you want to use it for a racing game where you need to modulate throttle as the travel of the trigger is very limited compared to my dual sense edge or even the Gamesir t4k I have.
Thanks for getting to testing the software so quickly. Seems like a hot mess, and even when it's working fine, it feels like it's no different than running rewasd in terms of being a layer that must be active for reprogramming to work. For the Vader 4 Pro, I guess I was misinformed that the application couldn't reprogram the buttons for alt-tab and profile switching at the same time in the first party software. Might go back to reconsidering it again because of that. I'm honestly just wishing Gulikit also just developed a software to allow for extended remapping since it also has the extra buttons on the controller face. The KK3 max seems like the perfect controller physically with its Xbox elite like paddles, but not having that software nor being available in reWASD is a huge turn off for PC.
for "gamesir" i for long ago didn't trust the brand because i knew the brand first time back when PUBGM was first time released. Then Gamesir was released with a sketchy "touch to button" app. That makes hundreds of players banned and the app has sketchy links too. Also i don't think a Xinput gamepad require firmware update unless it has macros or a little screen on it.

Great Video‼️ You had the worst of it and I'm glad you brought these things up. Gamesir definitely rushed this and it's bad. I didn't have the issues you had, like I have a stable connection with the app, wired + wireless (after the update on the dongle and didn't unpair the controller). Like everything you said but the opposite actually works. It does have an on board memory for custom kbm binds when switching from PC to Phone. When I make changes it does not disconnect and the polling rate is definitely stable under 1ms both wired + wireless, never went over. Update does work. But yeah, gamesir polish your shit before putting it out there for the consumers, smh. 😅
I bought this controller two days ago but immediately felt something strange with the sticks. I just can't get comfortable with it and my aim seems to have something wrong with it. For now the Vader 4 Pro remains the best controller for me.
i experience once , i dropped it form my knee and the stick are not respond anymore. but still working in android or using cable connect, super panic and i found it alive after flashing a new controller and dongle update from official page.
I was going to buy this for its design and controller elements. But anytime I see a controller on Amazon that I think of buying I look to see what the reviews are and how it is in real world use and they always always always suck.
I wish we could have an vader 4 pro level of features/quality but with a playstation layout, I just cant play on asymetric gamepad. So I will have to buy the Tarantura even with all those problems since theres no better option for me
the connect app upgrade messed up the controller , Living in Canada for 20+ years almost forgot, i can read Chinese : D i went to the website and i did the firmware update through their website patch (cuz the connect app kept failing the upgrade) and it fixed all the problems , My controller stick were on inverted and I was losing my mind.

The reason why I stopped using my X3 mobile controller despite liking it: the app was driving me nuts. Requested weird-ass permissions that sketched me out. No more Gamesir after that

I recently brought this controller and out of the box the inputs are inverted - if I move the stick left it goes right and vice versa. I tried making changes in the connect software but nothing helps. Also, this slightest input to the sticks results in massive jumps. And the controller won't update firmware on the connect app, or via the dongle method you covered. I think it is just broken from the box. Highly disapointed! Liked and subed.

I’m returning mine and just got it yesterday. Every button even tho in software it shows it’s normal back to factory except the two back buttons(happens even if those are reset) every button or thumb stick on controller when pressed or moved all perform the back button or B button on Xbox controller. I program the back buttons and even tho one is A and B the both do the action of B. I love the layout of PlayStation controllers but this is super frustrating. Resetting isn’t working and programming isn’t working. Never even had anything close to this issue with my FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro. Would still use my Vader pro but it lights up but nothing works.

Mine works wireless with the app however i have completely diffrent issue my left trigger doesn't work if flip the switch in hair trigger mode. Also when playing Mw3 if i click L3 it will switch my gun into single fire mode which indicates its not only clicking L3 but the left directional key pad too. Im currently in contact with gamesir support but that proving to be an issue too

I have a similar issue, mine is when pressing L2 it presses L1 or the directional pad. Very weird. And if I hold down L1 to aim it keeps stuttering the aiming like it's pressing multiple times. Not turbo mode, I checked. Please respond if yours gets sorted out.
we just need the kahlied with trigger stops, rubber grips, tmr joycons, interchangeable stick heights, maybe tension adjustment, and on gamesir nexus app. maybe 1000hz with option with audio port for xbox and weve got an industry leading pro controller. id pay $100 plus for
2 questions, does the controller save settings to the actual controller like back button remapping, etc. and do you think this will work on Xbox with an adapter like the mayflash magic x? 🙏
After I updated the PC software, wireless adapter and controller everything except the dpad worked well. I heard going down to 2.2 fixes it. The wireless adapter update only works with the 2.4 controller firmware over wireless. The Gamesir connect application won't recognize the content again unless wired.
How to fo this? My tarantula is recognised only wired on gamesir connect, everything works well, only issue is that when connect it via 2,4ghz sticks do not respond at all , when is connected via wire or Bluetooth is ok..
I dont get, how to connect the controller with USB. If i dont have the dongle in there, i cannot use the controller with USB. Is there a shortcut or buttoncombination i have to press for using it with pc. In the manual it says just connect usb to your pc, but that doenst work.

Ahhh... that funky connect app when trying to firmware update the controller. I got that failed error, and when I hit the reset to default button, it made all my button presses, including the triggers, register as "B" button presses. I was ever so close to sending it back to Amazon until I did the firmware update on my phone, and it fixed the issues.
@AntonioSanchez-ln4uz I have an android phone and downloaded the app from the Google Play store. Paired my contoller in Bluetooth to my phone. In the app, it will have a link to do a firmware update. The controller manual has instructions for putting the controller in Bluetooth mode. If you have an Apple phone, I would believe you have to go to the Apple store to download the app.
@AntonioSanchez-ln4uz I am sorry... I thought I had answered your question. It was actually another person. I was still on firmware 1.4 when that issue occurred after the failure message. I downloaded the app from Google Play Store on my phone and put the controller in Bluetooth mode via the manual instructions, and paired the controller to my phone. On the phone app is a button to perform the firmware update. That is how my issue got resolved. I was so ever close to sending it back to Amazon. If you are on the iPhone, I am sure you have to go to the Apple Store. I hope this helps.
@AntonioSanchez-ln4uz I just replied with "I am sorry that I am just now responding" and "UA-cam" deleted my message. I downloaded the mobile app from the "G" store and put my controller in Bluetooth mode via the instructions, and paired it to my phone. In the app is an option to perform a firmware update. I was still on 1.4 version at the time. That is what fixed it for me.
Guys, is the custom button remapping fixed when in wireless mode, cuz i like to use some custom buttons to exit from my game session using ALT+F4, nd some media buttons. I dont want to rely on wired connection to use these cool features, if someone can verify this it would be really helpful for my buying decision.

no need to do physical stuff, the software for this and many others with these PC apps allow you to remap the sticks to southpaw. For this exact controller, it's under Sticks tab > Advanced Mapping > Output. Do the swap for each stick.
@PhantasmXYZ no they do not, stalker 2 doesn't and neither does Off the Grid ( both unreal 5 games ) neither does fortnite....neither did space marines aka literally last 4 big releases plus a huge game off top of my head TRUST me I fight it daily..... I found software that emulates Xbox 360 on my ps5 edge so I can even play ANY PC game pass game.... Its a HUGE problem and that DS4windows is junk it's real clumsy at implementing your inputs as keyboard and then the other stick as mouse...you can feel it....DSX has a beta now that's the SHIT though I can emulate 360 play games that detect 360 controllers aka game pass, or ps5 edge with stick swaps and my under controller levers bound.. and its smooth...it even has a game launcher inside now.....life saver I was just about to have to buy a Ps5 pro and give up ( because you can force the stick swap ps5 wide for games that don't support it of which they are a plenty lol )

it looks ridiculous in the picture but once you have it irl it looks so good doesnt even look cheap. hand feel is great feels like DS4 controller on steroids 🤣 But the only problem I had is Updating the controller Firmware (not the dongle) on their APP it wont let me update it disconnects my controller then stops updating. but I found fix by downloading their controller firmware on a different website forgot the name 🤣
idk man i just bought this controller because im tired of the constant stick drift and buttons not working. I have had multiple scufs and been all dogshit and then i saw the envision and had hope and for awhile it was going great till it didn't. All triggers stopped being clicky the icue software crashes randomly and fucks everything up AND on top of it all it connects and disconnects CONSTANTLY while being wired in cuz of the poor ass design of the usb c input on the controller so now it bugs tf out. Paid over like 120+ for this thing and also has major stick drift cuz they are cheap assholes who use the same garbage joysticks so you eventually have to buy another one. Love the features on the envision but the consistent problems with SCUF is NOT worth 120+ dollars....
I didn't get this controller solely because of the recessed port. I found out all of my other GameSir cables were hitching and stuttering my computer (tested with different brand controllers and against my new quality cables), so as long as this company requires specific sized cables, I ain't humoring those products.
Better wait for the tarantula 2 or a price cut of this gamepad. Looks really cool but you are right, for the same price you have better options. Still not a bad gamepad but usually people look for the best gamepad for their money.
i reset the buttons and my sticks moves the other way around overall this controller suck i went back to the razer v3 tr im a claw player and i saw so much potential with the controller
@external-less the next thing is on the phone app you can down grade the firmware. If that doesn't work, try factory resetting the controller by sticking a pin in the small hole on the back of the controller while it is powered on.

Only one thing made me buy it, shape similar to the ds4 🔥🔥 there is no other pro controller in the market with this specs and this shape.

I didn't have the issues you had, like I have a stable connection with the app, wired + wireless (after the update on the dongle and didn't unpair the controller). Like everything you said but the opposite actually works. It does have an on board memory for custom kbm binds when switching from PC to Phone. When I make changes it does not disconnect and the polling rate is definitely stable under 1ms both wired + wireless, never went over. Update does work. But yeah, gamesir polish your shit before putting it out there for the consumers, smh. 😅

I bought this controller two days ago but immediately felt something strange with the sticks. I just can't get comfortable with it and my aim seems to have something wrong with it. For now the Vader 4 Pro remains the best controller for me.

super panic and i found it alive after flashing a new controller and dongle update from official page.
I was going to buy this for its design and controller elements. But anytime I see a controller on Amazon that I think of buying I look to see what the reviews are and how it is in real world use and they always always always suck.

I wish we could have an vader 4 pro level of features/quality but with a playstation layout, I just cant play on asymetric gamepad. So I will have to buy the Tarantura even with all those problems since theres no better option for me
the connect app upgrade messed up the controller , Living in Canada for 20+ years almost forgot, i can read Chinese : D i went to the website and i did the firmware update through their website patch (cuz the connect app kept failing the upgrade) and it fixed all the problems , My controller stick were on inverted and I was losing my mind.

I recently brought this controller and out of the box the inputs are inverted - if I move the stick left it goes right and vice versa. I tried making changes in the connect software but nothing helps. Also, this slightest input to the sticks results in massive jumps. And the controller won't update firmware on the connect app, or via the dongle method you covered. I think it is just broken from the box. Highly disapointed!

I’m returning mine and just got it yesterday. Every button even tho in software it shows it’s normal back to factory except the two back buttons(happens even if those are reset) every button or thumb stick on controller when pressed or moved all perform the back button or B button on Xbox controller. I program the back buttons and even tho one is A and B the both do the action of B. I love the layout of PlayStation controllers but this is super frustrating. Resetting isn’t working and programming isn’t working. Never even had anything close to this issue with my FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro. Would still use my Vader pro but it lights up but nothing works.

0.38 I am able to close my app, and the keyboard bindings I have done on the controller still work. But I am using it wired, maybe that's why.
Mine works wireless with the app however i have completely diffrent issue my left trigger doesn't work if flip the switch in hair trigger mode. Also when playing Mw3 if i click L3 it will switch my gun into single fire mode which indicates its not only clicking L3 but the left directional key pad too. Im currently in contact with gamesir support but that proving to be an issue too

I have a similar issue, mine is when pressing L2 it presses L1 or the directional pad. Very weird. And if I hold down L1 to aim it keeps stuttering the aiming like it's pressing multiple times. Not turbo mode, I checked. Please respond if yours gets sorted out.

After I updated the PC software, wireless adapter and controller everything except the dpad worked well.
I heard going down to 2.2 fixes it.
The wireless adapter update only works with the 2.4 controller firmware over wireless.
The Gamesir connect application won't recognize the content again unless wired.
How to fo this? My tarantula is recognised only wired on gamesir connect, everything works well, only issue is that when connect it via 2,4ghz sticks do not respond at all , when is connected via wire or Bluetooth is ok..

Ahhh... that funky connect app when trying to firmware update the controller. I got that failed error, and when I hit the reset to default button, it made all my button presses, including the triggers, register as "B" button presses.
I was ever so close to sending it back to Amazon until I did the firmware update on my phone, and it fixed the issues.

@AntonioSanchez-ln4uz I have an android phone and downloaded the app from the Google Play store. Paired my contoller in Bluetooth to my phone.
In the app, it will have a link to do a firmware update.
The controller manual has instructions for putting the controller in Bluetooth mode.
If you have an Apple phone, I would believe you have to go to the Apple store to download the app.

I was still on firmware 1.4 when that issue occurred after the failure message.
I downloaded the app from Google Play Store on my phone and put the controller in Bluetooth mode via the manual instructions, and paired the controller to my phone.
On the phone app is a button to perform the firmware update. That is how my issue got resolved. I was so ever close to sending it back to Amazon.
If you are on the iPhone, I am sure you have to go to the Apple Store. I hope this helps.

Guys, is the custom button remapping fixed when in wireless mode, cuz i like to use some custom buttons to exit from my game session using ALT+F4, nd some media buttons.

no need to do physical stuff, the software for this and many others with these PC apps allow you to remap the sticks to southpaw. For this exact controller, it's under Sticks tab > Advanced Mapping > Output. Do the swap for each stick.
@PhantasmXYZ no they do not, stalker 2 doesn't and neither does Off the Grid ( both unreal 5 games ) neither does fortnite....neither did space marines aka literally last 4 big releases plus a huge game off top of my head TRUST me I fight it daily.....
I found software that emulates Xbox 360 on my ps5 edge so I can even play ANY PC game pass game....
Its a HUGE problem and that DS4windows is junk it's real clumsy at implementing your inputs as keyboard and then the other stick as mouse...you can feel it....DSX has a beta now that's the SHIT though I can emulate 360 play games that detect 360 controllers aka game pass, or ps5 edge with stick swaps and my under controller levers bound.. and its smooth...it even has a game launcher inside now.....life saver I was just about to have to buy a Ps5 pro and give up ( because you can force the stick swap ps5 wide for games that don't support it of which they are a plenty lol )
@@OldManRising my last reply disappeared? But basically you misunderstood, I meant software that comes with the controllers, not videogames themselves. Look for any third party Chinese controller with an app or something like the Elite 2 and it usually will have a stick swap feature
@@OldManRising tbh I'll add I have this specific controller and love it but the cryptic manual and software was enough to confuse this "professional" controller reviewer... so I especially wouldn't recommend it specifically to you or other viewers unless they're really tech savvy.

I haven't been able to get the extra buttons bindable in REWASD, but it is recognized as a Xinput and you can tweak the thumbsticks.

it looks ridiculous in the picture but once you have it irl it looks so good doesnt even look cheap. hand feel is great feels like DS4 controller on steroids 🤣 But the only problem I had is Updating the controller Firmware (not the dongle) on their APP it wont let me update it disconnects my controller then stops updating. but I found fix by downloading their controller firmware on a different website forgot the name 🤣

idk man i just bought this controller because im tired of the constant stick drift and buttons not working. I have had multiple scufs and been all dogshit and then i saw the envision and had hope and for awhile it was going great till it didn't. All triggers stopped being clicky the icue software crashes randomly and fucks everything up AND on top of it all it connects and disconnects CONSTANTLY while being wired in cuz of the poor ass design of the usb c input on the controller so now it bugs tf out. Paid over like 120+ for this thing and also has major stick drift cuz they are cheap assholes who use the same garbage joysticks so you eventually have to buy another one. Love the features on the envision but the consistent problems with SCUF is NOT worth 120+ dollars....

I didn't get this controller solely because of the recessed port. I found out all of my other GameSir cables were hitching and stuttering my computer (tested with different brand controllers and against my new quality cables), so as long as this company requires specific sized cables, I ain't humoring those products.
Better wait for the tarantula 2 or a price cut of this gamepad. Looks really cool but you are right, for the same price you have better options. Still not a bad gamepad but usually people look for the best gamepad for their money.

I had the exact same issue. I had to do the firmware update through my phone, and that fixed the issue.

@external-less the next thing is on the phone app you can down grade the firmware. If that doesn't work, try factory resetting the controller by sticking a pin in the small hole on the back of the controller while it is powered on.
