Hi Helen, I love Bravissimo and their fitting service. I find that I’m a different size according to the style of the bra but the fit is always great. Before that I would always just buy the same size from M&S. Was away last year in Liverpool with my 3 sisters I was horrified at the fit of their bra’s so persuaded them to come with me for a fitting. We had such a laugh! The girls in the shop were so lovely with us, we all came away with some lovely, well fitted bras and they’ve never looked back. I should add that we are all of retirement age and beyond and suffer from the usual ‘all things heading south’ and one sister had had breast cancer but we were treated with such respect and made to feel fab xx

An added bonus is that it goes with the kitchen! The Clarins lipsticks were also such a good price with all of the colours wearable - which is not always the case in packs. Clarins bags are always very good quality and a lovely colour. I have several from years ago and they are still going strong. Thanks for sharing your ‘finds’.

Hi Helen regarding your Bra s I had the same problem. Altered all mine by , on the top of the cup ,do a little running stitch by had on wrong side. Pull up to right size add bit lace by hand on top ,worth a try hope that’s helpful, I am just to tight to by all new ones , Hope you understand all that❤❤❤

I loved the lipsticks and as you said a great bargain. All your purchases were good and a good variety. The reductions were really good so you can't pass them by with savings like that. Back, hip and allsorts come along at some point and then to add insult to injury poor sleep. Such fun, ha ha. Thank you Helen and oh, I didn't think Rob looked uncomfortable.
Hi Helen, I’m a relatively new viewer and have really enjoyed watching your lovely, down to earth and informative videos. I just wanted to bring to your attention some information you may find useful. I heard you talking about the problems you are having with your hip and that you are being referred for physio and an MRI. I also remember you saying you had an upcoming holiday. I was in a similar position a few months ago and rang my travel insurance (with a well known reputable company). As I was classed as “under “investigation” all cover for myself was suspended which caused a great deal of stress as you can imagine. I did say to the advisor that I wished I hadn’t told them. He was so lovely and understanding but said that 75% of claims are rejected for “non disclosure of a material fact”. I hope you don’t mind me mentioning this to you, but I take every opportunity to let people know as it could be a major issue if you fell ill on holiday (even with an unrelated illness/injury). Keep up the amazing work Helen and I wish you well for the future. 🥰

It came home to me shortly after my dilemma when our boiler service man told us about his mum who had fallen whilst on holiday in Majorca and broken her hip. She spent 6 weeks in hospital, so can you imagine the costs, especially if your insurance was declined. I sound like the grim reaper 🤣 apologies, but think knowledge is power in these cases. Hope you get sorted. We’re off on a Caribbean cruise soon (my insurance is all sorted now 😉) and hope you have a lovely holiday too. 🥰
I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with the thermometer reading the surface rather than the internal food temperature. I agree it is really rare to find large tablecloths; I’cheat’ by sending them with my super king cotton sheets to the laundry as although I (or my machine) washes them easily enough ironing them is too much hassle! Hope the massager works on your back and you enjoy the experience.

I have that massage gun and oh my it has truly saved me from so much piriformis muscle pain, low back pain, and improved my husbands neck pain. It truly is amazing once you know what speed and attachment to use. Highly recommend.

I Sometimes I hardly sleep at all some nights, it's awful. My husband never has any trouble sleeping and is a sleep within 10mins of getting in bed. Lucky him. Talking sofas we have been married 42 years and still have our original 3 piece suite. It was recovered last year for the 4th time My husband swears it's the most well made comfortable 3 piece. The blummin' sofa will see us out... 🤣🤣
I don't usually get up at 4 am, but it can be as early as 4.30. If I get a run of early starts I take a couple of Nitol to give me a good night's sleep. Rob has no trouble sleeping anywhere. The sofas in the front room are over 18 years old and have been recovered, and still as good as new. It probably will see you out! haha xx

Those lipstick colours will look great on you, I was thinking your lip colours were rather too dark on you before the Holidays. Once we hit a certain age the dark lip can take away from the look. 👍🏼 I have crap knees, shoulders and lower back so finding somewhere comfortable to sit has been tough but I finally gave in and tried a recliner that wasn’t too big and bulky, just wide enough that my arms can react on the chair comfortably. It has made sooooo much difference in my pain level I don’t care if I get called old lady granny. 😂 The other thing I’ve found that helps is a T.E.N.S gadget that had two or 4 electrodes that stick to me and the machine vibrates at various speeds . Very helpful for pain, I first came across it at physiotherapy , now they are all using laser type things but the TENS works. 🙋🏼♀️🥰

Helen it was lovely seeing what you’ve bought and there were some really great bargains. Jamie’s cookware is expensive, however it is always the highest quality. I’m impressed that your flared thermometer came in a case, as the one I have didn’t. The reason for the attachment on the case is so that tradesmen can carry them, as it is also used on walls to see if there’s drafts, ventilation etc. The massage machine with case looks very nice, the sound effects would have been hilarious, Helen. 😂😂 Hope both machines work for you, also that you managed to get some rest. We have an old dog who wakes me up three times each night. Oh dear back and hip problems, that’s no good. 💕
Hi Helen re your back after my experience I would advise you to get a Dexa scan. I had the same issues as you and blamed the chairs etc. Kept getting sent away from GP with various painkillers. Long story short, eventually had X-ray, MRI and Dexa scan which showed Osteopenia and compression wedging of three vertebrae in my spine. It took so long to find out (3years) I now live with chronic back pain. I wish more women in our age range knew about getting any backache checked out as it’s so common. ❤

The Christmas bit about the tablecloth is probably the mistletoe in the pattern. I, personally would like a more neutral tablecloth because then it wouldn’t clash with other table decorations.

Hi Helen, my daughter, who is 39, had hip issues for a long while she finally went to see about it had an MRI, and they spotted a hernia needing repair nothing wrong with her hip. All repaired now. Good luck .

We've got a Bob n Brad Massage gun. I think the model down from yours. It is a top quality product and has been a life saver for us. Can't recommend it highly enough. Their UA-cam channel is full of very good advice for injuries of all types. Re your thermometer 'gun' I can imagine maybe having it on a belt if you are barbecuing. I suspect some men would love that 😂 Lx
Hi Helen. Sofas are a huge purchase and it’s so difficult to decide on their comfort level as basically, in any showroom, we get about 10 minutes at the most to try them out. In reality, we could do with a week’s trial- much like a new pair of shoes! Mattresses are also a very tricky buy especially in a double bed where each partner has different requirements and to be honest, there’s a lot of advantages to having separate beds when reaching a certain age ! 😅 I haven’t taken much interest in the sales, to be honest but we have our first grandson on the way so I will probably have a look for baby items and enjoy the whole process as I haven’t explored baby goods for many,many years. 💄were a real bargain! ❤️🥰

I just wanted to recommend Bravissimo for bras. I have tried M&S & John Lewis, but they insist on measuring the traditional way and it just doesn’t work for me and it’s just a waste of time. They do it differently in Bravissimo. The bras are a bit pricier, but so much more comfy than M&S ones. They do their own brand as well as the more well known ones. But you do need your pre book an appointment, unless you are lucky to pop in when they aren’t busy. Love your channel btw.

Back massager...hysterical...I have spinal stenosis so have to sit in a high back chair...most helpful thing is my heated back pad..switch on a d immediate relief. Also recommend walking in water at the pool...consultant recommended it and it works. Also getting in and out of car physio recommends putting a plastic bag in the seat and that helps you slide in. Two things Helen…oven gloves, I have purchased a number of them but they all seem quite flimsy despite inspecting them before handing over my money. Absolutely right the heat penetrates them and I have burnt my hand before now. Bras…found super nice bras from M & S, very comfortable but M & S have decided to take them off their line!! I haven't used oven mitts for years as they never seem to give the protection I need. I just get two tea towels out, fold them, and find they do the job.

Hi Helen, have you seen the Hex Clad non toxic, non stick stainless steel frying pan with the hexagon pattern. Its expensive but its often seen on YT and TicToc food prep videos. I want to invest in something non toxic, maybe ceramic but never used ceramic. I wonder if you cd get them to sponsor you to try the Hex Clad? Also, I hv read its time to get rid of the black kitchen cooking utensils that we all have. Microplastics and toxic chemicals. I will look forward to see your ideas. 🎉🎉🎉

Talking of you waking up at 4am, do you actually get up or just lie there? Any tips would be most appreciated? I Sometimes I hardly sleep at all some nights, it's awful. My husband never has any trouble sleeping and is a sleep within 10mins of getting in bed. Lucky him.
Talking sofas we have been married 42 years and still have our original 3 piece suite. It was recovered last year for the 4th time
My husband swears it's the most well made comfortable 3 piece. The blummin' sofa will see us out... 🤣🤣
I don't usually get up at 4 am, but it can be as early as 4.30. If I get a run of early starts I take a couple of Nitol to give me a good night's sleep.
Rob has no trouble sleeping anywhere.
The sofas in the front room are over 18 years old and have been recovered, and still as good as new. It probably will see you out! haha xx

Those lipstick colours will look great on you, I was thinking your lip colours were rather too dark on you before the Holidays. Once we hit a certain age the dark lip can take away from the look. 👍🏼 I have crap knees, shoulders and lower back so finding somewhere comfortable to sit has been tough but I finally gave in and tried a recliner that wasn’t too big and bulky, just wide enough that my arms can react on the chair comfortably. It has made sooooo much difference in my pain level I don’t care if I get called old lady granny. 😂
The other thing I’ve found that helps is a T.E.N.S gadget that had two or 4 electrodes that stick to me and the machine vibrates at various speeds . Very helpful for pain, I first came across it at physiotherapy , now they are all using laser type things but the TENS works. 🙋🏼♀️🥰

Helen it was lovely seeing what you’ve bought and there were some really great bargains. Jamie’s cookware is expensive, however it is always the highest quality. I’m impressed that your flared thermometer came in a case, as the one I have didn’t. The reason for the attachment on the case is so that tradesmen can carry them, as it is also used on walls to see if there’s drafts, ventilation etc. The massage machine with case looks very nice, the sound effects would have been hilarious, Helen. 😂😂 Hope both machines work for you, also that you managed to get some rest. We have an old dog who wakes me up three times each night. Oh dear back and hip problems, that’s no good. 💕

Hi Helen re your back after my experience I would advise you to get a Dexa scan. I had the same issues as you and blamed the chairs etc. Kept getting sent away from GP with various painkillers. Long story short, eventually had X-ray, MRI and Dexa scan which showed Osteopenia and compression wedging of three vertebrae in my spine. It took so long to find out (3years) I now live with chronic back pain. I wish more women in our age range knew about getting any backache checked out as it’s so common. ❤

The Christmas bit about the tablecloth is probably the mistletoe in the pattern. I, personally would like a more neutral tablecloth because then it wouldn’t clash with other table decorations.

Hi Helen, my daughter, who is 39, had hip issues for a long while she finally went to see about it had an MRI, and they spotted a hernia needing repair nothing wrong with her hip. All repaired now. Good luck .

We've got a Bob n Brad Massage gun. I think the model down from yours. It is a top quality product and has been a life saver for us. Can't recommend it highly enough. Their UA-cam channel is full of very good advice for injuries of all types. Re your thermometer 'gun' I can imagine maybe having it on a belt if you are barbecuing. Hi Helen. Sofas are a huge purchase and it’s so difficult to decide on their comfort level as basically, in any showroom, we get about 10 minutes at the most to try them out. In reality, we could do with a week’s trial- much like a new pair of shoes! Mattresses are also a very tricky buy especially in a double bed where each partner has different requirements and to be honest, there’s a lot of advantages to having separate beds when reaching a certain age ! 😅 I haven’t taken much interest in the sales, to be honest but we have our first grandson on the way so I will probably have a look for baby items and enjoy the whole process as I haven’t explored baby goods for many,many years. 💄were a real bargain! ❤️🥰

I just wanted to recommend Bravissimo for bras. I have tried M&S & John Lewis, but they insist on measuring the traditional way and it just doesn’t work for me and it’s just a waste of time. They do it differently in Bravissimo. The bras are a bit pricier, but so much more comfy than M&S ones. They do their own brand as well as the more well known ones. But you do need your pre book an appointment, unless you are lucky to pop in when they aren’t busy. Love your channel btw.

Back massager...hysterical...I have spinal stenosis so have to sit in a high back chair...most helpful thing is my heated back pad..switch on a d immediate relief. Also recommend walking in water at the pool...consultant recommended it and it works. Also getting in and out of car physio recommends putting a plastic bag in the seat and that helps you slide in. Two things Helen…oven gloves, I have purchased a number of them but they all seem quite flimsy despite inspecting them before handing over my money. Absolutely right the heat penetrates them and I have burnt my hand before now. Bras…found super nice bras from M & S, very comfortable but M & S have decided to take them off their line!! Struggling to find similar or indeed something with comfort….frustrating. Thanks for sharing Helen xx
I haven't used oven mitts for years as they never seem to give the protection I need. I just get two tea towels out, fold them, and find they do the job.

Hi Helen, have you seen the Hex Clad non toxic, non stick stainless steel frying pan with the hexagon pattern. Its expensive but its often seen on YT and TicToc food prep videos. I want to invest in something non toxic, maybe ceramic but never used ceramic. I wonder if you cd get them to sponsor you to try the Hex Clad? Also, I hv read its time to get rid of the black kitchen cooking utensils that we all have. Microplastics and toxic chemicals. I will look forward to see your ideas. 🎉🎉🎉
