😁😐 Idc that I'm writing on a 2 yr old video lol.. I'm just now finding this channel and I'm loving it. Wth that outa the way, here's my actual comment lol.. Anyone who can sit for 4 hours to put in new doll hair, strand by strand, is not lazy! Lol You are so talented and these videos make me miss my daughter being little again. She was obsessed with Brats dolls and Monster High dolls and her favorite was the lagoon one❤. I wish we had kept them all especially now that she has a daughter of her own. ❤
Love watching everyone restore and refresh their dollies, so thanks for sharing. Being an old lady though I need to ask, there doesn't seem to be any concern with putting these dolls into water, washing, etc. So, in your experience does the water dry out nicely? As a kid it was always like, the minute you got your Barbies wet they were done. Is there no need to be concerned about mold, mildew, water getting trapped in the head or joints, causing damage over time, etc. etc.? Thanks for the informative vids!
Yes it usually dries well if dolls are put on a towel for at least 12-24 hours! If I ever take a dolls head off tho I leave head neck hole down on the towel so every drop gets out 💖
Hey guys, I do realize I had tap running toooo long during some bits of the video, and honestly forgot to turn it off. I usually do not let the water run long normally. :)
Thanks for commenting on this, I would like to suggest using a bucket of water or the sink stopper next time. That way you won’t have to worry about the faucet and waste so much water. Thanks for sharing your method, it’s very helpful
Thank you so much for this video! I have an extremely sticky Lagoona doll and Spectra from all the glue seepage. I'm definitely gonna follow all your steps. Hope mine come out as nice as yours did.
Thank you so much! I have an Elissabat doll with glue seeped hair that needs fixing. I have washed it 3 times with no help to it. I will try the oxy clean method this next time.
For glue seepage on my dolls I use goo gone. Spray it on til soaked then let it sit for 2 hours and wash thoroughly with cold water and shampoo and conditioner as warm/hot water will cause the seepage again. When I wash again I always use cold water to prevent more seepage. Also I do a second sometimes third goo gone treatment if it didn't get it all pit the first time and its all good to go. Also with tinsel. I strictly use cold water only as warm/hot damages the tinsel and makes it stick out everywhere. Same with Venus dolls because of the flocking they have- hot/warm melts the glue holding it on and takes it off.
Not keen on the vomiting I will admit but for glue seepage there is also the multi surface cleaner method. Spray the cleaner on the dolls hair, rub it in and leave for 30 mins. Then wash out with shampoo with cold water and then condition if you like or repeat if necessary. Nothing against your method at all, just sharing this one.
@@ZombieXCorn oh, that's good. I mean I don't even know if its true but I'm assuming it is because I've heard it from a youtuber who attended a beauty school or sum.
I've cleaned hundreds of dolls and never had a problem with fabric softener! I mean, I only need to use it once per doll, and it's only in their hair for a few minutes as I brush out the tangles.
I found a meowlody and purrsephone doll set for a STEAL and the only thing wrong with them is their hair and I can't wait to fix them up with these tips!!!! Thank you so much!!!
I would love to know how you tie their hair up so nicely! I tried to tie up my basic Frankie's hair but it always ends up with some hairs sticking out the wrong way 😥
Thank you so much for this video 💖 it seriously helped my dolls like crazy. I used to use the tea tree oil method and then used baby powder to soak it up but it was so much work and this worked like a charm. 💖 though heads up be careful with putting it in the head cause I did that with my ghouls night out Lagoona and the glue came out completely and since there wasnt glue to hold it in her head it fell out 😂😂😂
Dude I used to have so much monster high dolls and when I got older I just donated them. People are selling monster high dolls now for like $80 with all of the clothes and body parts missing
@@mealoser.1645PLEASEEE I ended up doing doll customisation for a bunch of my final art assignments and finding my mutilated snow bite draculaura actually broke me... she didn't even have her og head, she had a lagoons one. I just obtained a used first wave draculaura off of eBay and I’m gonna need to wash her hair get her a new arm and a shoe replacement then she’ll be like new!! Ur video was rlly helpful for figuring out how exactly to safely clean a doll
Doesnt’t the toothbrush method take off their makeup? Originally a lot of dolls makeup isn’t protected and i also experienced some of my dolls makeup to smudge away even if i was really careful playing with them
I'm not trying to tell you like what to do or anything but try everything name brand shampoo and conditioner and it'll help because the dish soap kind of makes it like sticky like and it makes it oily so I'm just letting you know
Brushing her face don't will erased the painting? I'm just bought a used Frankie and I've never made a cleaning doll so I'm searching. Her body its yellowish, how I clear that?
I have a Skelita with the worst case of gluey hair, I want to try the oxiclean method but that product doesn't exist in my country. Will it work if I use a powder detergent?

They all Look GREAT!! Yeah, I really like what you did! Never thought about OxyClean, what a good idea. The most improved was Drac. :)
Yes! Oxy is amazing!

Your Monster high collection is wonderful and well cared for congratulations on tidying them up neatly🎉
Good job on all the dolls - especially the draculaura. Didn’t think she clean up. Loved Jane (purple doll).
I love this guys channel and I loved it when he did 🥺

You should customize a monster high dolls into your own oc I would love to see what you look like as a MH character
Ugh I’d love that so much omg!
It's always the draculaura doll that needs the most help😂😂😃
apparently fabric softener can damage your dolls hair overtime which is scary because i've (and other people) used it so many times-
I’m a new user to it :0

You can use some cheap hair gel. Just get a basic brand and mix a couple squirts in a bottle with warm water.
Honestly it takes me a while to do it right 😅 I’m always not satisfied with it and take it down
Ruff 🐶!
You do really good on your dolls hair you deserve it I hope you feel better ☺️

Although I am your new follower, I like watching your videos, especially makeovers
fun fact: if you boil wash the dolls hair when they have glue seepage. It makes the hair harder. ( learned from experience 😩😩😧) .
Sorry 💕💕
Oof...
Honestly it’s hit or miss tbh like if doll has bad glue head let water sit a fire like a minute then only dip ends x)
my personal experience dont dip the head into the hot water just the hair it will not melt the glue in the head
I’m gonna watch several of these so I can know what I’m doing when I restore my old dolls that have been packed away since I was a kid

It has to be an oxygen cleaner. In the US we can even get a generic brand called Awesome in dollar stores for $1 for a big jar.
I heard you could also use baking soda and peroxide! In the description I linked a video and at the end she mentions the steps to create it near end!
