I believe that the Vamps are a very amazing and talented band, but for people who have heard the original first and loved the original like me, it's kind of hard to like something with such a different sound that I'm used to. I know that the Vamps are amazing, but I feel that their voices are just a bit too polished for this song, because for someone that is a fan of the Killers their voices should sound less polished and more rocky. This kind of reminds me of the whole One Direction singing Teenage Dritbag thing. I'm a huge fan of One Direction but their voices didn't sound right with the song to me because I'm so used to the original. I just wanted to share my thoughts as to why some people don't like this cover, but I totally understand that you like it. :)

Frankly this sounds too clean, the original had a nice edge to it.

The fact that pretty much all instruments in this cover is recorded in a computer using MIDI makes it pretty lifeless and, as you said, too clean.

Mr Brightside is my favourite all time song ever and I think the boys did a great job. People are overreacting at how bad this really is. If you tried playing the song, of course it's not going to sound exactly identical to the original. I love the original but I also love this version. And basically the whole point of doing a cover is "I love this song and artist, I'm going to do a tribute to them by putting my own little spin on it" I think of it like posting a coloring page you colored. You didn't make the design but you did add your own cool elements to it and it's literally a way of saying "I like this so much I decided to put time, energy, effort and maybe even some tears into it." It's his own style just like how I probably colored Share Bear green once just cause I wanted to mix it up. Things are still good even if you change them and if he did it exactly the same, that wouldn't be a cover anymore and you'd still be mad
I've listened to the original thousands of times and I'm a big fan of the killers but I do really like this cover. I think while it's not as electronic as the original they made it their own which I think is great :)

Can everyone just stop writing hate comments on people who say they like this cover, cause their are multiple people who attempted to do what these boys did and failed miserably. I know it's your opinion, but they also have their own opinion, If they like it and you don't. You could say something like 'this isn't my favorite cover of Mr. Brightside, I think the original saounds better'. Not 'You guys ruined the damn song you losers' that is considered rude and other people will start to comment on it telling to die in a hole and to duck off. Everyone has their own opinion, this is just mine.
