    I would say it's pointless to fit any kind of tank to a T1 or T2 exploration ship, you'll be outclassed by anything coming to hunt you. Adding survivability is just wasting time, unless you're relying on a burst jammer or ECM drones to save you. Better to go all out on being slippery and efficient at scanning.

      Yes - fast align time and perhaps warp core stability?

      @@constructioneerful especially align time, because a lot of hunters have caldari navy scrams. Also you can get modules that improve scanning strength, resolution and duration instead of tank modules.

      Agree. Only time you need a tank is if you tackle a standard sleeper cache in your exploration frigate. You will get far more utility out of a cargo scanner - you can spot the 1 or 2 most valuable cans, hack those and not waste time with empties/ carbon containing coal scuttle cans.

      Having a little bit of tank has saved me so many times. Being able to tank a couple shots from a Sabre while burning back to a gate is nice.

    Hey aceface, great video! I had an interesting challenge idea: could you achieve endgame without buying or selling things things on the market? You would obviously have to buy the bpos, but I wonder if you could grind every material and manufacture everything yourself. Just a thought that has been on my mind for awhile.

      For anything one might consider "endgame", you'd need a pretty extensive industry operation to manufacture the T2 ships and equipment from basic materials, which would require training up significant science and industry skills on top of what you'd need to then fly the ships. The PI products alone would probably need a number of characters with skills for the maximum number of planets at high capacities unless you're willing to rebuild your networks frequently to produce all the different products you need. Then there's all the stuff from exploration, gas, reactions, etc. Advanced industry in EVE is intentionally set up so that it's pretty much impossible to cover by a single player, let alone character.

      You would probably start an alliance war trying to get your own r64 moon minerals. Unless he could steal them or gank the freighter that picks them up.

    Navy explorers are much cheaper now 15-20 mio.

    Is this possible as an alpha?

    I wouldn't bother with shield extenders because it means you will die slower but still die. Keep the fit cheap as possible and fit a cargo scanner plus auto target if you are lazy.

    Also worth checking the box in d-scan settings for probes so that you can see if people are hunting you with combat probes or with normal probes to scan the sites down that you may be heading towards

    I always make sure to add combat scanner probes to my D-Scan preset aswell as ships.

    I can't say for all of Providence, but some of it you will be definitely be hunted and blown up if seen. It isn't all controlled by same alliances, so areas vary in policing, but don't think you will be alowed to explo in peace everywhere :)

    Man, I Started a month ago and my 1st 100mil was literally like the 3rd relic site I have found. To be precise it was my 1st 100, 200, and 300 at the same time because I had 70 mil from running t0 abyss and pulled 245mil off of that one relic site. Best run so far but came close 3 times since then. Now trying to do wormhole ratting but my DPS is super low for some reason (I lack about 20% damage/rate of fire from skills but even with that I'd do maybe 400 only with a drake) any tips appreciated.

      I would join a wh corp and do wh ratting in fleets.

    • @HalIOfFamer
      @HalIOfFamer Рік тому

      @@ryanlin9131 yeah I want to achieve something myself and fleeting up with people who know what they are doing feels like having stuff handed to me. If I'll join a corp of strangers, it would have to be a newbie small time corp of people who know eachother well.

    • @ryanlin9131
      @ryanlin9131 Рік тому

      @@HalIOfFamer I think you can find a corp willing to take you under their belt. It may not be a big corp but 3-4 players are the optimal setup for running C5 WH sites anyways. So you don't need a big corp to rat in WHs. Also ratting solo in a Drake (I assume C2 sites) is very inefficient. Exploration would be much better. C3 sites are decent for solo play but require more expensive ships and are riskier. If you want to roll the holes(make them safer) why not join a corp. I understand that you want to do things yourself but Eve is not a solo game. Finds some friends and learn. You might not be pulling your weight at first but you'll learn.
