- The world's richest person Elon Musk has taken on Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani as well as Sunil Bharti Mittal over the allocation of spectrum used in wireless communication using satellites, calling their demand for the auction of such airwaves 'unprecedented'. While Ambani's Reliance Jio has been vocal about the need to allocate such spectrum through an auction to give a level playing field to legacy operators who buy airwaves and set up infrastructure like telecom towers, Mittal on Tuesday articulated the need to use bidding for such allocation. Musk-led Starlink is demanding administrative allotment of licences in line with the global trend as it looks to tap into the world's fastest-growing mobile telephony and internet market. This has found some backing in Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who said such airwaves will be given out through administrative allocation and not auctioned.

Network is major domestic security. The USA, always backstabbed whenever India was in probkem. It should be Jio-Airtel-starlink combination.
Domestic security my foot army millitary don't use domestic satelite, only common man do and jio is constructed as monopoly in Indian market. We need Elon Musk to save Indian goverment which is being sold to gujrati tycoons.
Ambani gived cheapest Internet and support digitalization for whole india now india need them support back.. Otherwise forgain companies always remain superior and high costly 😢
Ambani also charging exorbitant money.
Previously we had option to just recharge for rupees 100 that will work for whole month and use home/office wifi for video calls/whatsapp calls.
But now everyone(inlcuding poor) are forced to recharge with minimu 200/month just to use call services, even receiving calls isn't allowed if not done recharge within 1 month of recharge pack expiry date.
This is how Jio is earning huge money, because there is plethora of people like me who prefers to talk in person and use mobiles for office work/small calls only.
100 rupees/month bahut tha, 1 paise/sevond ke hissab se aap 167 minutes or 2.7 hours ka talktime milta tha.

And by force we now to pay for internet even if we don't need it. Such a waste of money. Imagine someone earning 15k per month spend 180 per person for just 20days for 2GB data. This is the lowest. Isn't it robbery? It's happening just because jio has no competition till now.

The market for Starlink is very small, and the price is unaffordable for normal people. Play your own ground network well first, otherwise you will be played by others in the sky.

I think you need to study a bit about Satcom & how it's implemented. It cannot be used by usual cell phone for voice calls. It's services can be availed at higher cost by those who need it exclusively.
You know how Ambani got oil exploration allotment and not even dig a single well for many years. Then they stole gas & oil from ONGC fields...
