You need to learn the superglue and masking tape technique...see Crimson guitars, and others. ;)
i really like thats there's no stupid, royalty free background music!!!!
yeah... everyone has the same lol... including me.... and the natural sound of tools and environment... Something to think about for me...
Appart from the amazing craftmanship involved in this project, can we appreciate the video quality? Amazing content, cheers mate!
Actually learned quite a lot about making templates 😂😍
Wasn't what I was looking for in the search bar but man am I happy UA-cam reccommended this!
No music, no long intro, just work, this guy is becoming the "my mechanics" or guitars
These episodes are so incredibly inspiring and relaxing!!
Truly inspiring and motivating to see the hard work that goes into your craft. Thank you for the great content!
if the thumbnail is the guitar you have build than damn u improve fast with building compared to ur first one wich was not even long ago
Your build series inspired me to build my first. I built a left handed 7 string headless, 25.5-27.2 inch scale, I've also adapted the templates for 8 string and will do that soon. I based the lower section of the instrument on a strandberg, although I drew it myself so I wasn't copying too closely, and mine is a single cut design.
I'd gladly watch the whole video in just one sitting, as an upcoming luthier myself it just brings me so much joy to watch stuff like this
Damn, can’t wait 🤘🏼
No head? How very Halloween
Hi, just want to let you know... After watch this guitar headless step-by-step guide I decided to make my own build (I had no previous experience on woodwork). But this guide really inspired/helped me a lot. Thank You Soulhenge.
Glad to hear this series was not only entertaining but also informative! Thanks!
Honestly this video was so satisfying! Gave an ASMR vibe😌
Thanks for making these, I really want to get into the world of guitar building and this really helps.
Just watched - love the jig for radiusing the fretboard.
Super cool build. Happy Monday.
You got so much better at building a guitar dude. You are doing a great job ! Keep it up.
Am so envious you can keep your work space so clean!! And you have surgeon's hands to keep a jig saw cutting a line. I had to go buy a band saw.
Thanks for uploading, this was great to watch!👍👍
Such a clean looking build man, currently compiling pieces of timber for a compact headless build myself, really interesting to see your techniques. Looking forward to the next episode ;)
the bobbing sander thinks look so nice :) cant wait to watch all of the episodes in a row
very interesting and enjoyable to watch, thank you!
My fav type of videos !!!
So... no head?
Jokes aside, this is so hype
I love your handiwork man.
Awesome as always
That's one of the most satisfying things I've ever watched. I also really want to make myself a headless, or pretty much any guitar for that matter. No skill or tools tho. Maybe someday. Anyway, can't wait to see next episode!
asmr guitar wood working, count me in
daaaaammmnnnnn ! that looks superb
Awesome man!
10/10 dude bravo
Excellent video!!!!
Sick!
Amazing, I'm super hyped about this series! May I ask you where you've got your template from? Also, I'd be super interested which tools are the most necessary for guitar building; maybe you could do a workshop-tour one day. Also what would interest me a lot which books you red or which research in general you've done!
Keep on the great work. Seriously, it's fantastic
The template/plan is DIY too and was made in Adobe Illustrator and printed out. I based the measurements on guitars I own or given dimensions like the pre-slotted nut or the bridge which gives the string spacing etc.
I will be talking about the minimal requirements in tools on this channel in the future. My main source of knowledge is UA-cam, specifically Crimson Guitars!
@@MilianMalivukMusic Pretty cool that your template is DIY; makes it even more exciting to see the end result IMO! Also I'm looking forward a lot to your workshop-video. Thank you for your answer; I really appreciate it!
Realmente las guitarras Strandberg han creado un nuevo standard...
therapeutic.
That feel when you still wondering "what's going on out there with that headless Harley Benton?" :) And now waiting for this headless part two.
oh man, I'm so jealous of all these tools 😬
I have a Kiesel Vader and a Harley benton headless. I've noticed, I hate that I can feel the strings vibrate through the neck on the Harley benton. Can't explain why. Almost like when you hit a baseball with a bat and it vibrates in your hands feeling. The kiesel feels waaaay more solid with no conflicting resonating intervals. Your strings can be like wet noodles on that thing and it still sounds in tune for some reason. Weird. PS awesome build!!! Can't wait to see it complete!
I found this video to be very relaxing. I am glad there's no music in the background.
I can't wait to see the next instalment.
Hello, what hardware did you use for your guitar plz 🙂. Excellent serie by the way. I consider to do an headless too with an ebenist
Sir , you are a human CNC machine.
That looks great! What's the clear paper and the blue sheet called? Where did you get it?
Love this style of guitar and your build quality is amazing. Can you share where you got the body template?
I designed this guitar myself from ground up in Illustrator and printed it out ;)
Quick question: What did you do to keep the body's wood from warping? I notice that you made the body from two pieces of wood. Are their grains against each other?
Amazing work, looks great. How do you get your templates?
I designed this on my own and made the templates according to the plan I created in Illustrator!
What did you use as the guitar tuning tailpiece thingy?
This is awesome!! Will you have any step by step guide available???
Well this videoseries is kind of a visual step-by-step guidance as I show almost every stage of the process, if just briefly.
I might do a commented guide series some time in the future. Thanks for the input!
@@MilianMalivukMusic if anything it would just help to have a list of the tools/materials you're using!
Really2 awesome content!!! Btw, Where can i get the template?
I have the illustrator file on my Patreon! Thanks a lot!
very nice video and very inspiring project, I will try to build my first headless, but I don't find where to buy the bridge that fit on this type of guitar. Where do you find yours ?
Mine is from a custom guitar shop called Markline, I don't think he sells them to the public yet though.
Watch my additional video to this series where I talk about the parts, I specifically named some sources for headless hardware!
a wonderful build. Wanna build one too. Where to find the template?
You can find the plan on my Patreon page, I designed it myself!
@@MilianMalivukMusic ohh miss the description. Thanks! :)
How do you find the complexity (in terms of building) between a headless and a standard design? I could see that not having a real headstock would cut off quite a lot of steps in the process, but then there may be extra issues with the bridge, plus the price.
I felt like this was actually easier to build than a neck with headstock where you have to deal with an angle etc. The bridge costs a bit more but since there are no tuners this was in fact cheaper.
@@MilianMalivukMusic I have the exact same experience. I love the shape of this guitar! Did you design it yourself or are plans available? Cheers!
@@meeloo0 I designed it myself, the plan is available on my Patreon page!
@@MilianMalivukMusic it' great! I found out about your patreon and the plan so I just subscribed! I plan to use your shape as the basis of my next build (left handed headless in a Strat pickup configuration) if you don't mind...
Let’s talk about where you found the plans for that radius jig that I need to build for myself.
There were no plans, just made this on the go, specifically for my router!
@@MilianMalivukMusic i will just pause the video and reverse engineer it because that is slick.
Where did you get the blueprints for the guitar made? I'm currently trying to build 2 different guitars and having blueprints like that would be a game changer for me lol
I made the plan myself in Adobe Illustrator, the file is available on my Patreon!
@@MilianMalivukMusic well good job man. You're doing great. I love watching guitar build videos, cause each one I seem to learn something new lol
The only obvious flaw in that design is the output jack placement.
What kind hardwares are you using? Kinda remind me of GOC bridge
The bridge is by Markline Guitars!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
good work thanks :) ı have a question how can ı find a like this guitar plan ? can you send is that possible ?
Hi, the plan is available to download on my Patreon!
Why you choose walnut for neck? For balancing the swamp ash body?
No particular reason, mostly for aesthetics, so that there's a dark contrast to the swamp ash!
Aw man the algorithm gets me lol
can you send me the dimensions of your build? im tryung to fund a template for building a 7 string strandberg
Do you have a CAD file of the body?
I have an Illustrator file available on Patreon :)
Where did you get the bridge for this?
Markline Guitars
Where did you purchase the neck and bridge?
The neck is from G&W, the bridge is from Markline Guitars.
@@MilianMalivukMusic was it a neck blank? also couldn't find a website on markline guitars just sent them a fb message.
Geil!
Really great job !! I have only one question. Why imitate the Strandberg shape? With your skill you could have created a more personal shape, I think. Anyway congratulations great guitar and great sound. Bye
Why do thousands of skilled people build Strat, Tele and Les Paul copies? :) I always liked the Boden, never wanted to spent the big money though. If you compare the body outline, the shape has some differences to the original Boden.
@Soulhenge "Why do thousands of skilled people build Strat, Tele and Les Paul copies? :)" exactly!!..i never understand why!..:-)) Thank you ..bye
How much time you'd spent on making this guitar?
Over 60 hours when including the design process on the computer. I was taking things easy and slow though.

My favorite shape #goheadless
Every guitar should be Headless
Hey this is a weird question but i know theres plenty of people who build guitars for a living.
I wanna do that.
How would i start
Good question, which I can't answer unfortunately because I don't build professionally.
What I can tell you though, get your skills right before you start selling anything, otherwise you kill off your name before you even had a chance to make one for yourself in this business.
@@MilianMalivukMusic thanks man
Okay now put pt.2 out
Will be released tonight!
WHY DID I CHUCKLE AT 0:42
how can i get the plan?
It's available on my Patreon! Link in description.
@@MilianMalivukMusic I paid the subscription and I could never download the file with the map of the guitar if you can send it to me so I'll send you my email from now thanks!!
Can i still get the plans to this?
Sure, write me an e-mail ;)
@@MilianMalivukMusic where?
Hoping someone give me one 🥺
