BEST BREYERFEST EVER!!! I oved hanging out with you, it was such a blast and I love the video with everyone in the Vengeance Rain room 😂😜 And hopefully we can do it all again next year! 🥳🎉
It was such a chaotic breyerfest but in the best way possible!!! 😂 loved the vlog Amy and the cat wearing the little cowboy hat was so cuteee 😭😭 So glad I got to finally meet you ❤️
I’m enjoying this so much. I saw our room at 6:06 & my roommate Shaun volunteered this year & she was the volunteer in the AG at 12:12. Then there was our lovely Carinosa. It amazes me that she’s gone from living with me in Lexington KY to being with you in England. She’s quite the traveller. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time at the KHP since our room needed to be kept open for room sales so I really enjoyed the footage from the KHP. I’m sorry it was so hot & dry for your visit. Lexington is currently in a moderate drought & temps have been way above normal. I wish we could have had greener scenery & cooler temps for your visit. Shaun & I were selling some of the models from Andrea Gurdon’s extensive collection. Andrea was better known as the Breyer History Diva & was one of the founders of our hobby. She worked with Breyer on the Vintage Club & was starting to consult with them on the line of models for Breyer’s 75th Anniversary next year. She passed away in February & asked Shaun & me to disperse her collection. The models on the bed at 6:06 were from her amazing collection. Perhaps you saw her memorial bench at the entrance to BF. If was through the little gate just to the left as you walked over the little wooden bridge. So happy your partner is excited about the hobby & now has his own conga of scratching foals. Having a supportive partner who also enjoys the hobby is such a wonderful blessing.
I'm so happy you're enjoying it! Ah yes Shaun gave us a lovely in-depth look at the I Will Survive Special Run! Carinosa has travelled a little over 5,000 miles with me to get to my house, so she's seen a lot already! I love her, so glad I picked her up. I actually coped with the weather quite well! We don't have air conditioning in the UK so while in KY I loved being able to cool down inside in between activities! Aw I'm so sorry to hear that Andrea has passed. Glad I got to capture a little bit of her collection in this video. Yes I remember seeing a bench there, I didn't realise it was dedicated to her though. My partner absolutely loves the hobby now, it's very special to be able to share it with him☺️
@@OrcaTwins Thank you, it was amazing! The Colin the Caterpillars are great, the ones in the video are a mini version of a full sized birthday cake Colin here in the UK😁 I feel very lucky to have brought so many cool models home with me🩵
“and everything is all higgeldy piggeldy” that made me laugh!! i’m only on youtube so when i saw you i was SO EXCITED! you are so sweet!!! i’m so glad i got to meet you and be in your video!! i’m glad you enjoyed your breyerfest!!
Just watched you at Breyerfest 2024. Amazing. I try not to pry, but how much is the whole Bryerfest experience? excluding your flight over. I am trying to get a sense of how much to save up for her first trip.
@@GFHill I’m probably going to make an in-depth video about travelling and cost, but to give you a quick rundown from this year, these were our main costs for two people: Hotel was $1k for 6 nights including breakfast. Travel insurance was like $250-275 ish (can’t remember exactly). We rented a car which was about $450 for the whole time. This is optional but we have found it really helpful! We got 2 All Access tickets for BreyerFest which were a little under $100 each this year! In terms of models my budget is different each year, but I typically make sure I’ve got at least enough for Special Runs, one Peter Stone, and a few Clarion purchases. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions let me know! I’m pretty transparent about these things☺️
@@mrbobbysmodels5338yes! Immensely. We live just above Kentucky, so car is no problem. The hotel, and all access tickets, was my main concern. But what about the little 'extra' stuff you did? I have so many, many questions. I do not want to bother you, unless it is ok?"
@@GFHill A lot of the activities in this video were free or included in my BreyerFest tickets. Equilocity, the museum at the park, the Social Media Meet, etc, were all free to do😊 The only thing we really paid for outside of models was food!
I love breyers but they're such a rip off😅😅😅 takes the company $50 tops to make the most expensive models then they sell them for $500. Plus all the best models are traditional size which no one really has the space to display or stablemate size which no one can see lololol
Loved this! Thank you for an entire hour of BreyerFest footage! ❤
Aw thank you so much! I was worried the video would be too long so I'm happy you're enjoying it❤️
