I was a Beyonce fan back when she was with Destiny's Child. When she went solo and married Jay-Z is when I saw the shift in her. i think Beyoncé has her own idea of God, and when she’s speaking of God she’s not speaking of the same God christian’s follow. i grew up listening to Beyoncé and the Drunk in Love album stayed in my cd player, it’s probably still in it in my old car. however i saw a youtube video of all kinds of symbology in her concerts, clothing, videos and things that just killed any ability i had to hear her voice. It literally turns my stomach, and that was mind blowing to me to see it then and gradually leading up to today it’s become more and more common in hollywood and the music industry. I have a really hard time listening to music and watching movies/shows these days bc it’s all so morally corrupt and Satan has become blatantly idolized. As a Christian, I never understood why people are genuinely OBSESSED with her. I recognized that she was glamorous and a talented singer and dancer, but people, women especially, seemed fixated on her. I remember a few years back, if you said you weren't a fan of her, people would lose their minds. I see this with people like Harry styles and ice spice ect. I think it's a spiritual stronghold.
It's because she represents/symbolizes who most people wish they could be. There's a certain amount of freedom that normal ass people will probably NEVER get to feel in their life because they're guided by fear. Beyonce is the exact image of the person that they fear they can never become... so she empowers them to feel like can. That's exactly how all of us are controlled... whether you want to accept it or not, even YOU are being controlled by fear. Fear of losing something... fear of being seen in a way that you don't want people to see you... fear of being completely wrong no matter how strongly you believe... Everything around us is creating those fears and insecurities... because the systems that we live in and abide by constantly tell us to compare and compete with one another. In my eyes...... it's not these artists or the entertainment industry that's at the core of these issues. Those are just results of what our system breeds in all of us. If you really think about it... everything that they teach us about business and money... goes COMPLETELY against everything that most religions teach us morally. That sense of competition is what breeds greed... There are caveats within entertainment... but as artforms... they are simply just reflections of what society already is. Vanity. Conceit. Insecurity. Narcissism... all of these things ALL stem from competition. So until our systems stop teaching us to compete... art... entertainment... and music will ALWAYS reflect that in the most extravagant way.

@DrewGems I like this perspective on it. Reminds me of a Bible verse people often misquote. The love of money is the root of many evils. I think we crave freedom without knowing what it means. We confuse freedom with simply having a lot of money, opportunities and influence, but it's like you said, if we are in competition with one another for these things that still makes us a slave to greed and to others for those resources. This problem is solved with God. If we have this unshakable truth that is not corrupted by over indulgence or selfishness then we find freedom.
I think where people get it twisted is, they become a fan of the artist instead of being a fan of music. People will buy anything beyonce puts out because they are a fan of her, they worship her. This is a true story. My daughter used to work in the film industry. She was asked to be in a music video. She wasn't allowed to know who the artist was beforehand. When I picked her up afterward (because she had to be driven there) she told me it was Beyonce. I thought it was cool she did the video until she told me that Beyonce told her she had beautiful eyes but then made her wear sunglasses the whole time. She was the only model that did! All the other girls had evil looking eyes and my daughters eyes are a beautiful shade of blue and she has always been complimented on them.. But her eyes are innocent looking and my daughter is a Christian and she has a light. My feeling is the darkness in her was offended by the light. Therefore she wanted to cover up the eyes that reflect Gods love and my daughter's innocence because she was bothered by that. I would be too, if I was a demon. i think Beyoncé has her own idea of God, and when she’s speaking of God she’s not speaking of the same God christian’s follow. i grew up listening to Beyoncé and the Drunk in Love album stayed in my cd player, it’s probably still in it in my old car. however i saw a youtube video of all kinds of symbology in her concerts, clothing, videos and things that just killed any ability i had to hear her voice. It literally turns my stomach, and that was mind blowing to me to see it then and gradually leading up to today it’s become more and more common in hollywood and the music industry. I have a really hard time listening to music and watching movies/shows these days bc it’s all so morally corrupt and Satan has become blatantly idolized. It’s sad to me that this is the way of the world my children are growing up in.

So I definitely relate with that. Life didn’t make sense at some point and I just knew there was a creator. I considered myself Jewish because they believe in the God of the bible and not Jesus and the idea of him being a saviour of this world. I also didn’t want to subscribe to religion.

Everything around us is creating those fears and insecurities... because the systems that we live in and abide by constantly tell us to compare and compete with one another. In my eyes...... it's not these artists or the entertainment industry that's at the core of these issues. Those are just results of what our system breeds in all of us. If you really think about it... everything that they teach us about business and money... goes COMPLETELY against everything that most religions teach us morally. That sense of competition is what breeds greed...
There are caveats within entertainment... but as artforms... they are simply just reflections of what society already is. Vanity. Conceit. Insecurity. Narcissism... all of these things ALL stem from competition. So until our systems stop teaching us to compete... art... entertainment... and music will ALWAYS reflect that in the most extravagant way.

This problem is solved with God. If we have this unshakable truth that is not corrupted by over indulgence or selfishness then we find freedom.

This is a true story. My daughter used to work in the film industry. She was asked to be in a music video. She wasn't allowed to know who the artist was beforehand. When I picked her up afterward (because she had to be driven there) she told me it was Beyonce. I thought it was cool she did the video until she told me that Beyonce told her she had beautiful eyes but then made her wear sunglasses the whole time. She was the only model that did! All the other girls had evil looking eyes and my daughters eyes are a beautiful shade of blue and she has always been complimented on them.. But her eyes are innocent looking and my daughter is a Christian and she has a light. My feeling is the darkness in her was offended by the light. Therefore she wanted to cover up the eyes that reflect Gods love and my daughter's innocence because she was bothered by that. I would be too, if I was a demon. Had I known she basically sold her soul I would've been disturbed at the time that my child was grouped in with those devilish characters. Very upsetting. May God have mercy on their souls.

My daughter had a dream where she was at school, and there was a surprise concert that was announced. Beyonce was the singer. My daughter had felt something wasn't right about the concert and found my other daughter, and they were trying to leave the school. It's absolutely _crazy_ how I stumbled across this. I don't really listen to B, but I've been seeing lots of shorts popping up of her and Blu for the Renaissance tour, and saw her performing cuff it. So I _finally_ went to listen to the song in its entirety and I was appalled by the lyrics. She's cursing in one breath and saying “GOD” in the very next. Like.....what?! Personally I've always thought that she was overrated and actually prefer Solange over her. She made lemonade and everyone went bat crazy. And she's been stealing up and coming small unpopular African artistes' songs and beats. I have a family member who lives in South Africa and they know someone whose song she allegedly stole. I think that Beyonce didn't just compromise for fame. She had already went there early in her career. The outfits and dance moves, it was already there. But what she's doing now is intentional. It's like she wants to be wicked. She gets something out of it.
They always give a new performer nice, clean songs at first then they change it up once they establish a fan base. Nearly every artist does this

I had the same experience with Erykah Badu back in the day. We need to be discerning and not allow our fun to dilute or detract from our Christian faith. I pray that more Christians increase in discernment and learn to listen to the Holy Spirit instead of chasing the spirit out with profane hip-hop and sketchy RNB like Beyonce. EVERYONE thanks 'god' ,dedicates their albums, started out in the church choir and yet we don't even know which 'god' they are referring to. Can anyone really release an album full of fornication, swearing, and gangbanging and then baptize that with a quick name check to 'god'?. And notice they don't ever mention Jesus Christ. Just a faceless, blurry god who is not necessarily Jehovah God our Almighty Creator. I doubt that Beyonce was ever a spirit-filled Christian,maybe a church goer, maybe a 'church girl'. Holy Spirit will hold us , correct us , guide us if we're willing and were in communion with the Holy Spirit in the first place. The shift is real and its demonic. Then Jay Z....a whole Warlock.

I too was a fan, when I didn't have to change the channel to avoid my little ones from the cursing or lyrics too adult for children to be singing.
