  • Keith River road, Pinners Track, Coldstream River Track. We hit a number of roadblocks on Keith River road. A Bridge out at the northern end followed by a massive tree down 4 k past the Arthur River. We only had a little run at magnet mine late in the day and due to poor track conditions, we headed back to camp. Day 2 we entered Condstream track off of Waratah road for a look but were getting low on fuel. We will give this another run on our next trip out. Cool video. Good to see the area getting a bit more exposure. Makes me want to head back though haha. The track you went down on Day 2 is actually the Wombat Flats Track. The Coldstream Track is the other one that also goes to the hut.

    So happy I found your channel
    I'm a tassie local who drives range rover classics too and it's great to see your vids showing how they go on the tracks here
    Disappointed I haven't spotted your rangies around when you've been here, would love to tag along sometime

    Love that Teeshirt lol
    Some of those tracks look like they havent seen traffic in years!
    And it's obvious someone has a bit of catching up to do speccing their Rangie coz yours seems to do it a bit easier.
    And yeah I both laughed and cringed when Old Mate fell into that massive hole, Ya cant be scared eh.
    Im wondering about the wisdom of having a 4 speed manual in mine though, the Auto's do really well.

      Tony Geitenbeek I’ve had manual in the past. Never again. Auto is great for technical tracks. Mine has been built by a guy in Melbourne at Ringwood Automatics. It will upshift under full load to keep the hammer on when needed

      @@V8RangeRoversGoingNutts Yeah Ive got a few Auto parts rangies here so I have options I guess but the old 3.5 will probably need repowering first, I'll remember Ringwood Automatics when the time comes or just build another Rangie from the later model bodies I have here.
      Any chance of a Vid walkthrough on your Rangies Specs?

    Great video guys 👍🏽👍🏽
    Quick question, How have you sealed the distributors against water ingress?

    • @V8RangeRoversGoingNutts
      @V8RangeRoversGoingNutts  4 роки тому +3

      Eye Fly Africa high temp bearing grease is the go. Must be high temp or it melts. I don’t have some many problems due to the chev having the distributor at the back

    Love the videos guys. What mean rigs. Been looking at one myself. Would love to know what the Maintnance is like on one these rigs see a lot of people boycot them but from you’re videos they seem to hold up well.

      @V8RangeRoversGoingNutts  3 роки тому +1

      They do hold up well. BUT taking care of them and getting front of problems is the key. It’s not the cheapest hobby but we love it
