Hard to imagine this will be a big success, as the complicated manufacturing process will make it too expensive for most.

It is most definitely very well made but quality does come with a cost

Interesting that Harrel has added quartz sand to give the MDF track surface texture.

Without asking the question, you've answered it for me. I can use the Carrera Tracks I've invested in with the Harrel stuff. I'm pretty sure they'll be at the UK Slot Car Festival 28-29 May 2022, so I'll be able to work out the costs involved. I was invested in Ninco Track (up to my eye balls) and then decided that my ladder was up against the wrong wall and switched to Carrera. Looks like a Carrera/Harrel merger is emerging in my future plans.

Thanks Chris for the feedback, I can confirm it's very very well built and in the case you do get what you pay for.

i have used various degrees of carerra corners to make custom corners ,, remove rails cut say part of the center out etc. there are sites describing how. actually works great.
you can create any radius you want.

How many lanes do they offer?

pls don't call MDF wood. As a cabinetmaker that's an insult 😂

What is the advantage of wood?

They both have pros and cons but a wooden track has a very beautiful feel under the car, it's hard to explain without trying one

The advantage of wood is that it's completely smooth so the car handles predictably.

it is a beautifully engineered track but:
    - why going for the 100mm interslot width. Ok, I know that the obvious answer is to be compatible with Carrera (that is huge in Germany). But if you want to create a premium boutique product, they should have gone for 120mm (that is the standard for 1/24 tracks - at least in Germany).
    - however, the track surface is different between the two tracks and you will have grip problems when cars go from one surface to the other.
    - they have only 4 radii: R1, R2, R3, R4 - like Carrera. And to be honest I do not see any difference in radius of the corner. The nice thing is that R3 are also offered in 15 degree matching the R4. Carrera does only the R4 in 15 degree which makes it more difficult to make interesting corners in 4+ lane tracks.
I do not know...Carrera to me still has the edge. If they would offer lane changers, pitlane pieces, and more radii (R5 and R6) with 120mm interslot spacing they would be a winner.

Too many parts and a kludgy implementation. Simpler is better.

It's great looking stuff but looking at their site its *way* too expensive for my tastes or needs.
