Lords of the Fallen (2023) has the potential to be game of the Year.
It has the potential but this year is packed with great games including Lies of P which is also a soulsborne type game

The spells buffs for yourself or your weapon like Adyr's Rage /Aura of Tenacity or Umbral /Radiant aura for weapon stack if you have propeller ring to cast the both ?

Id like to point out that the radiant magic isnt lightning or holy juice, its Sunshine or scorching light, confirmed in a dev stream

Does anybody know how the sword parry works? Is it like Sekiro where u press the block button right before the attack hits? Or is it like Dark Souls, with a very odd timing and have its own specific parry button?

Is this game a solo campaign type of game or does require online connectivity?
Online connectivity is not a requirement. Can be played offline but it has an online component as well.
You can play it singleplayer or 2 player coop

This is the type of game that really needed an extra year on the oven. The game right now is absolutely incredible delivering on all the promises of the previous but on launch it was completely broken

Most of the footage I've seen has shown a grey, bland landscape. Hopefully it has sections with a more vibrant color palette while still keeping the dark and gritty theme.

I’m not aware of any drawbacks, but devs mentioned enemies from different regions will have resistance to certain magic

What is going on with the AI in this game? So many examples of enemies just standing there looking at you, or slowly walking in a small spot. One of the clips even shows two enemies kinda walking in to eachother.

Looks flashy. Still not liking the combat - especially when enemies / the player are hit. It doesn't come with that "sound". That pounding sound. Hope they fix it. This is by far the most exciting souls-like yet to release, in my book

It would be great a mechanic the higher the dexterity, the higher the accuracy of the spells the longer the range and the chance of a crit (without enough dex u'll miss the target most of the time) is that or enemies in pve can dodge projectiles

IGN has no journalistic integrity outside of Ryan and a couple of others. We should all wait for respected sources to report on the games we like. One bad apple DOES spoil the whole bunch.

As many others have said and agree: 1080p 60fps upscaled on PS5 is too low and unacceptable for next gen Consoles. Should be at least 1440p upwards DRS (1440-1800p) at 60 FPS.
And 120 FPS Mode at 1080p+ on 120 Hz VRR TVs !

Combat? It debatable. Bet you cant weld ax and great sword as dual. From software are about the freedom of builds that is why the combat are simplicity in order to use different weapons on each hands. Two shields, two clubs and two torch.
Honestly it looks considerably better than ER as far as originality goes. Story may not be as deep but at least its actually adding some new mechanics to the genre unlike ERs mostly copying souls despite "not being dark souls". Great game but so many steps back like the ai, weapon/ability balance, armor choice, repetitive "ruins" and catacombs, wack gReAt rUne system etc.

Very unfortunate. I'm a console player. Starfield, and Baldurs Gate 3 have me sewn up for at least...lets see my child is to be born in...probably 5 years!
