Farhan Akthar was the one who realized that the 21st century needed a new style of filming than the standard 90's film movie. This movie is so ahead of its time. I mean just look at Phir Dil Hai Hindustan, which was released in 2000 (1 year before this movie). It looks like the typical 90's movie!

Movies like Hey Ram, Bandit Queen, Water can be termed as way ahead of it's time because Indian audience wasn't ready for such films. I like how none of these guys overshadowed each other. Each one has their own perfectly written character and did full justice to their role. It's impossible for Bollywood now to make a classic like this again.

They can give you Al Pacino and Leonardo in one film and audience will still love both characters without comparing their acting abilities or their character stories in the film. If a role is well written then there will be no need to compare two or more actors in one film. But in Bollywood most big roles in a film are given to actors with big stardom... that's why it's hard for the writers to write 2 or more characters equally well without showing the other in minority or giving less screentime in the script. BW still works with stardom system. Dil Chahta Hai is one of those few BW films that are raw honest realistic and still very entertaining and quite inspirational too. This stardom system needs to go away. Because of this reason writers are very depended and limited on their writing abilities.
The 'Oooo Oooo' part that comes after chorus in the middle of song is just awesome,.. 👌👌👌 This song takes you to another world.... Greatest song for friendship, feels like heaven 😇🤗😗

I became introvert in 11th class When I was 17 years old actually after knowing my few close friends stopped talking to me completely. Now I am just 25 years old till I turn 80 how many people come to my life and how many will go only God knows Sometimes I feel like joining Indian Air Force and serving the nation and die for the country but it is too late.
