  • Plaster gives you amazing details, but if you don't have some at home, an alternative is to create a cast of your body through #papermache. In this video, let me show you how to use cling wrap, masking tape, and newspaper strips to create a cast of your body, which you can use as a mannequin, as a #bodycast, or in other #DIY projects.

    This is so helpful, and will actually work for me, I just needed my perfect dimensions so that I could use it as a pattern for a pretty cotton fabric I got especially for this project.

    This is amazing. How did you do the upper body and butt? Did you place it on yourself again ?

    Do you have any advice for weatherproofing a body cast? I get a lot of rain, but I'd like one on my front lawn for Halloween!

      Adrian Medrano Hi! Make a cornstarch-water mix, and then boil. Keep stirring until thick.

      Same procedure. It'll be challenging, though, so you might want someone to help you with that.

    Great - do you use an armature to make it stand up - what is inside ?

    • @DIYKalinga
      @DIYKalinga  4 роки тому

      Hi! There was no armature. To make it stand up, I used two pieces of stainless steel rods inserted into a cardboard stand.
