It's also the same thing for wheelie bins. Wheelie bins used to be rock solid, proper quality, the old nylex and wastemaster bins. Nowadays, the new bins is just cheap quality stuff, the new bins break more easily than the old bins. The new 140litre and smaller bins aren't that bad though. But mainly the new 240litre bins aren't the best quality nowadays, especially the Mastec ones. My 240litre yellow bin is an old 2011 Sulo Talbot, it's still all original, it's better than the new bins these days. My 140litre red bin is an old 2011 Sulo Talbot, now with a new 140litre Mastec lid though, The bin is almost 11 years old, gets collected more often than my yellow bin, and has still held up.
Nice vid I tried to get the Brisbane city council repair truck when I got my 240 recycling which he came at 6 am so missed him then when I got my 360l kom I wasn’t home so you were pretty lucky to catch the repair truck
Damn hes very right when he was talking about the pens, i could softly wipe my finger on the number of my newer bin and i would get it on my finger unlike my older recycling bin which yes if faded off but the number is stained onto the bin so when i wipe my finger on it only very little of the white ink gets onto my finger
The trials and tribulations of " the bin man." Not quite Lube Mobile but just as interesting. Thanks for " lifting the lid" on this essential service and for the pen review lol!!
I just came across this video and have just finished watching the full 8 minutes 8 seconds of it, and to be honest with you, it was more entertaining than I thought it would be. Some real great fabulous videography by you right here, you have done extremely well to produce a video not only this unique and this long, but also of something that’s never really been documented quite like this before. I wonder if it will be a one of a kind video; regardless to say, a very intriguing fascinating watch! Good job Daman :-) 👌🤟👍👊.
I just got my garbage bin replaced today by JJs. My bin had a split body, JJs came past today around 7.30am and swapped it over I now have a red lid garbage bin I'm in Melbourne and the council area is whittlesea council It looks the same as this one its a Mastec 120L ://m.ua-cam.com/video/ja14e0W885I/v-deo.html

4:54 That guy is so true, everything was so great back then, we have a dishwasher that’s been working for 24 years, and it still going strong!!

Nice to see they actually just repair the lids in your country but in UK you have to get a whole new bin and they charge you for the replacement!
Not in most of the UK lol

There's probably one confused resident who is wondering what happened to their old bin, and has no idea the bin truck has taken it away.
