This is incredible, and more than I could have ever asked for when I was looking for material to read devotionally. Thank you for your service❤️🔥
Meraviglioso inno a Hermes. Sono molto devota a questo Dio nella gioia e nel dolore. Il mio ambito nella vita è l'ermeneutica, dunque ascolto questo canto devozionale quasi ogni giorno. Lode a te, amato Hermes! ❤ Messaggero divino e guida delle anime!
I applaud the work you have done to polish your Ancient Greek. Your reading of this is a jewel. Thanks.
Just beautiful
Hermoso 😍 placentero de sólo escucharlo. Por favor me encantarían en griego antiguo los himnos de Chronos, Zeus, Hécate. Like y suscrito 👍
Can you make orphic hymns like this for Apollo, Aphrodite, Selene amd Ares?
Thank you. Please keep posting
Love your voice, and very interesting text.
Wonderful rendition! Great to hear ancient pronunciation come alive again.
The acoustics in this are pretty wild. Sounds... empty. Hollow. Like you're inside an empty marble chamber, listening to something ancient and more or less dead in the modern day. It's sorrowful. Like I feel loss for something I've never known.
Thank you so much for this, and the accompanying English translation.
Beautiful ❤️

You will have eternal life in a heavenly earth :* love you , hear you ,thanks !
Very useful thank you!
thank you
Lovely and thanks. Love as well the Greeks here in mortal combat on the accents/pronunciations. Note, how rather ridiculous this is - there were BCE at least 5 major dialects of Ancient Greek, I will surmise as varied as Cockney London, West Cork Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, , , Aussie/Kiwi/Nigeria/Jamaica. I am happy enough if what i hear reflects the great magnificence, the amplitude, the robustness, the sonic symmetry I associate with the artists of Ancient Greece. I rate this a lovely recording in all these respects.
Magnifique quelle beauté
Beautiful
❤love you Lord Hermes
Esto más que un himno parece una oracion
En souhaitant une bonne santé en ces temps difficile.
Shouldn’t θ, φ, and χ be aspirated?
sweet!

Nice try but pronunciation is wrong ,''εί'' and ''οί'' should sound like, ''e''...
and ''αi'' sounds like ''heh'' not ''i''
+HASHEAVEN Hi! You're absolutely correct when it comes to modern Greek. In ancient Greek, however, it is theorised that ''εί'' is pronounced "ey", ''οί'' is "oy" and ''αi'' is "ay". Of course, nobody knows 100% and pronunciation changed over time (η, for example, started off as "eh" and became "ee" around the third century BC) but when it comes to Classical pronunciation, which I use, most scholars agree with that this is how those diphthongs were spoken. I hope that clears things up!
HASHEAVEN That is not true. Don't confuse modern alteration with ancient greek original sound. ῷ and οι should be pronounced oy just as ᾳ and αι should be pronounced ay. As for ε and η you have several options how to spell it as in words Jupiter- Ζευπάτηρ- Dzeūpəter, Gæməter-Demeter-Demiter.
Can anybody tell me why the Greek letters "ευ" sounds like "ef"? It makes Zeus sounds like Zefs, in modern Greek, which sounds somehow wrong, at least in spirit.
srunequester66 Because the new Greeks are just voicing it. Take φύω (physics)- pronounc. "fýoo". Voice it: býw. Add infinitive ending and you got slavic бывати, byvati (imperf. был, byū). δεύτερος-δύο-two-[voicing.:]dva- [devoicing] defteros.
@@srunequester66 It is true. When the diphthong combination of "ευ" pronounced either "ef" or "ev". The name Zeus pronounced as Zefs doesn't sound correct to you because you're not used to hearing it that way. When I hear it pronounced Zoos it makes me cringe, lol. There was a reason for the specific pronunciation of Greek names. The Greek language, as it was originally spoken by the Ancients, but also still in certain region and islands of Greece is a melodic and rhythmic language. The accents are rhythmic beats, as well as indications of breaths. "Eu" (Ef or Ev) is supposed to be felt in the lips as the sound of the "Eh-f" "Eh-v" is exhaled from the mouth. Every letter and combination of letters, spoken in the proper pronunciation is supposed to stimulate the brain and create certain energies.
They use their chariots of the sky but still they're weak and they could never stand in the field of battle on their own strength
Who are you talking about?
Hermes has nothing to do with what you’re talking about here lol
