- Let’s talk about my “Giant frog” Dump’s eyes and why they sometimes look different. Dumpy is an Australian whites tree frog and like most frogs she is nocturnal, and because of this her eyes are very good at seeing in the dark, frogs pupils will expand to let in much more light then a humans eye can. Depending on how much light is around her her eyes will adapt by opening and closing the pupil giving the eye a completely different appearance. This is why Dumpy’s eyes may appear different throughout our videos. @@Sahahalyeah it’s pretty obvious that it’s cgi, it just looks very unnatural at times. Look closely at the borders of the frog and how they blend (or rather, don’t) into the background. Definitely cgi.

I don’t think she knows her owner, except snake, maybe crocodile or alligator , most reptiles or amphibians don’t recognize their owner. Maybe the best the can do is recognize human coming to feed them.

That’s a White’s Tree frog, or a Dumpy tree frog. She looks that big because of editing and camera positioning. That being said, there is a frog about that big called the Goliath Frog. Its much less cute, though.

@@galffygergojozsef7816I have seen that short... Considering the amount of editing knowledge I have, the editor did a great job into deceiving us that the frog is real.
He most probably switched the CGi frog with the real frog very seemlessly, which makes it more believable.
How do I know that the frog is not real ?
Any form of interaction he has with the frog, he is never actually holding the frog on camera, even in this short the clip started playing the moment he dropped the frog. Now considering the frog is very small... how did it eat that entire half of banana in a single bite ?
I like how he never tells us that if the frog is real or not... leaving the analysis to the viewers is a very good way of engagement

🐸 For those commenting on the frog's size, it's just great editing, likely done to show us "Dumpy" in detail. The largest species of frog is the Goliath. The Goliath can grow up to 32 cm or 12.5 in and weigh as much as 3.3 kg or 7.2 lbs. 🌻 There is your dose of random knowledge for the day. I hope it's a blessed one.

@@Gittykitty Hopefully, this helps eliminate your frog nightmares. 💚 We have tons of them in the Southeastern US (due to the wetlands) and they are regular visitors at our doorstep. Fortunately, they're quite calm and do a wonderful job of keeping insects away! 🙂

@@josephtaylor6527 Well, he probably filmed the frog eating a bug. Then blew up the footage. Editing out the bug and replacing it with a banana. Camera movement is taken frame by frame, so even though he place banana on the table he can edit the footage to make the banana disappear right as the frog's toung makes contact.
