I sitll don't understand charging for travel. So many do it but I just cant justify it. I wrap travel into the costs of the service already when I did my pricing. Anything past my 20 mile range, I'll tell a customer I gotta charge a little extra but if it's within my normal 20 mile range, I'm not charging them.
i agree with this. better to price the travel fee into the actual price than separating it. it makes customers feel like they are being nickeled and dimed.
@Jordan’s Mobile Detailing like most businesses, you account for overhead when structuring your prices. If you have a 20 mile range, you account for that in your standard prices. Hire a carpet cleaner or any local service, none will have a travel fee unless it's obviously a trip that's further than their standard range. Just account for the overhead in your pricing. I think you're putting too much thought into it. There's nothing for a customer to feel is unfair. What customers don't like more is feeling nickel and dimed. Part of service based business is travel and that's across all industries.
I reccomend using All American Car Care Products they make them in house here where im from in california there products are great and leave any car looking emmaculant ! Find them on line also and on amazon if your not in california

Good info. Learning as we go. Interesting to hear about the chemicals you use and why you switched.
Thank you!

How’s that fair for customers that might live a couple minutes away tho?
