The animation isn't just good looking, it's so expressive, and they REALLY focused on body language, like they did with Land of the Lustrous. If Meryl changed her clothes and we only saw her silhouette, we'd STILL be able to tell it's her by how she moves. Studio Orange is legit Pixar level with their artistry
Not sure that I've seen any of this studios work. I love the original and was a little hesitant because some of the attempts at 3d have been not wonderful but this is amazing. If it's not 3d I apologize but it does seem like it is but really well blended so it's not so jarring like Ultraman was on Netflix.
I love that they chose to keep him being completely out of ammo in his first actual fight. With his intro in the original, a bunch of bounty hunters just absolutely level this bar that he's at, and right before it cuts to the title card, it has this really badass shot of him getting up from his chair and aiming at them before cutting to black. When you next see him again (after Meryl and Millie get introduced), Vash is tripping bounty hunters and chucking rocks ( + his empty gun) at them to knock them out and steal bullets from their pockets. It flashes back to the moment he was aiming at them for a few seconds, and shows him finding his gun completely empty and being chased away in a hail of gunfire. Simultaneously a badass and an absolute flying-by-the-seat-of-his-pants dork, and it sets him up perfectly.
Trigun was actually one of my first animes when I was about 12-13 years old (now 20 years later), I know some of the old crowd are divided but i'm personally loving this :)
Yes, Vash is just precious. I would also love to see your reaction to the old series too! He is my favorite anime character period for the last 20 years!
Agreed; I'm so used to the english dubs of the original bc I can't speak Japanese and like to listen to them in the background while I work sometimes, so I have a hard time imagining Vash's voice as anything else. The VA really nails his character and brings so much life to it. Also, both Roberto and Wolfwood get some really good one-liners in the english ones. "And this is why we don't rescue lost puppies. Hey, puppy! This would be easier if you'd put up a fight!" "Make sure there's some empty chairs, because they're kingdom coming-"
@@lzrshark617 I haven't gotten past episode 2 in the dub so far (I tend to be bad about rewatching and that's all that was out at the time), but Rosa's "Momma loves you baby now SHOO" was so 10/10
I'm so on board with the CGI animation it looks absolutely fantastic!! My only minor gripe is I miss Vash's old hairstyle where it stood straight up, but new Vash's hair is still pretty cool!
Stampede inspired me to watch the original first and I'm glad I did. This version is a bit darker and more fast pace but it not a bad thing. I loved what I saw from the OG and excited to see the rest of Stampede.
i love the animation im a bit wary of the changes they made to the story,, and the fact they gave away vash's backstory so quickly but im mostly optomistic Yeah the fact that its in space is meant to be a bit of a reveal as the story moves forward. im just happy to be able to watch Vash and his hyjinks again bc i love that character so much. not a fan of them removing Millie's character for that reporter guy at all though :(
Wow, I can’t believe you clickbaited me I thought you were like me fr But yeah, it is an opportunity to get to know the series (even if it isn’t how most ppl know the series as) I was a bit thrown off by the 3d at first, but quickly got used to it as the episode went
Spoiler alert The story delves into the trigun maximum manga than the original one. Basically the ships are the colony ship supposed to bring humanity to a new planet to inhabit in. Knives and Vash are actually related to the plants which creates the basic necessities for humans. Knives unfortunately thought that humans are parasites and sabotage the landing process but REM managed to salvage it which led to humans living in the wasteland depending on the plant
I don't care if it's cgi but why do they need to change the story and where's Milly? My god. If they wanted to change the story, they should have continued where it ends or start before he became wanted. They made my child hood anime a crap.
No, no. No. 🤢 This is... just go watch the original. So much better. I muscled my way through this first episode and it's just... sad. The OG is a classic for a reason. (Also I'm still salty they replaced my Milly.)

Pixar isn't artistic at all but I get what you were trying to say

Old man here. Vash has been one of my favorites since the late 90's . Looking forward to watching more of this version.

Same! it is my earliest anime I can remember, even though I wasnt sure I would enjoy this remake/retelling the first ep got me hyped lmao
Old crowd here, I'm loving it!!!!!!!!
It's hard not to love our goofball Vash. A major goober and goof, while also being one of the coolest badasses in anime history
Yes, Vash is just precious. I would also love to see your reaction to the old series too! He is my favorite anime character period for the last 20 years!
"Why is he so adorable?"
YES!!!! That!!! 😆😆😆
Pleasantly surprised how much I actually like the animation looking forward to this story!
If you're interested, I also highly recommend at least one episode in English. Johnny Young Bosch does an amazing job as Vash

Watch the entire season!

This seems like a good retelling as a huge fan of og trigun I like what they did
I think Trigun Stampede is going to be anime of the year.
Well his laugh and hair upward matches the cartoonish wanted poster
Trigun is sooooo good! So many new anime lovers have missed out on a good one
This and yu yu hakusho is amazing!
yu yu hakusho !!! 🎉
Id love to see you do a reaction to the original. So good 😊
I fukin love trigun so much holy shit

The first show also has a different end from the manga and thus will be different to and the manga creator work on this I think
Oh cool, love when creators have input in the anime~

Rip the old trigun, It was a gud show to watch and it had more comedy-

Enjoy the donuts
you spelled trigun wrong in title lol
lmao I sure did XD
How could you!!! Liar!!!
I got click baited. But do urself a favor n watch the original.
Ive watched the original, if they gave this to Trigger studio I would watch it again but I dont like this type of animation xD
I've willing sat through anime from when CGI animation was first getting noticed. This is fantastic in comparison XD
I don't like how anime studios do cg but this was out of this world. The animation in Stampede is outstanding.

I'm sorry, this show is trash compared to the original. You should watch the good one instead.
