  • I have been asked a few time about the cost of living here in Slovakia and how I make money while living here, so before I carry on with the exploring videos I decided to let you know.
I am no expert in either on these things but manage to make a bit of money every month to get us by.
I also cover some of the cost of living here but like I say in the video, this will vary from person to person.

Lots of respect for you Jono. I'm married to a Slovak woman and have being for twenty years and have travelled from Ireland where we currently live to Slovakia at least twice a year and now as were both coming close to the fifty mark we are considering moving to slovakia. I found your video very helpful

In my early twenties I moved from my homeland of Slovakia to USA. I am definitely going back. I miss my beautiful homeland. I miss the food, the beautiful country. I have a great life in USA, but I left my heart in Slovakia. I can see myself retired there... I am working hard and preparing for it.

I moved from NZ to Poland in 2019, spent a few years there and generally liked it, ended up moving to Finland a year ago, and decided it's not really as good as I thought it would be. Thinking mainly what's good for my daughter. She enjoyed herself more in Poland (kids are more friendly, etc). I've been to Slovakia a few times, driving down from Poland, always really liked it. Language is tough :D

Hey man. I'll be watching more of your videos. I'm British and have a Slovak wife who's from near Martin not too far from ruzomberok. We'll look to move to Slovakia at some point sooner rather than later.

Good luck mate. I watched your videos and got to understand, how you must feel. Still tho, respect for your approach and best wishes. I understand it must be lonely for you here. With the language barrier and everything. But as you said, you'll get there eventually. And when you do, you'll be able to be happy from your place more and more and it will feel more home to you. Honestly, I envy you. I love Liptov. I spent a lot of time in your specific region as well. There was a time we planned to move back there. Unfortunately that did not happen. But I come to visit every time I get a chance.

Thank You for this inspirational video.... in a sense that no matter where you land (pandemic) and most of us have landed somewhere completely different as to what our original life goals were, it is still possible to rise and break through one step at a time. And in a place, country and life style which at the end is what we needed all along. Congrats and good luck!

I like your entrepreneurial mindset! It was interesting to hear about doing business online, because I'm not really aware of all the opportunities that exist in that field.

Hi Jono, just subscribed to your channel and binged watched most of your videos. I love Slovakia, which is just as well as I married one. Planning on retiring there. Much respect to you picking yourself up after loss of your business. You have shown you have an entrepreneurial mind. Keep up the good work and look forward to watching more blogs👍

Hey Jono, I hope you'll be posting videos again soon. Would you be able to go more into both your blog & your t-shirt website? I'm looking to do something similar and it'd be really interesting to hear your story and what you do.
