I have an adult child (23) 2 teens (13 and 14) and a little 5 year old, so we do Easter egg hunt in the garden for him, then a big Easter breakfast feast for the teens, and a Easter roast dinner early evening for family who wants to come. Hi Liyana, we celebrate just Easter Sunday, and when the kids were young they used to binge on chocolate eggs and have an Easter Egg hunt! They would always make Easter cards and gifts at school to bring home too, which was lovely. We’ll be carrying it all on with our first grandchild now, as our 4 are all grown up. I can help you with the religious take on Easter, as dad was a C of E Vicar. We would all attend church at the family service, which would be a joyful celebration of the risen Christ. In the lead up to Easter Sunday, the children of the congregation will have all helped to make the ‘Easter Garden’ which depicted the tomb in which Jesus’s body was laid after his death on the cross. The stone that sealed the tomb would be rolled away on Easter Day, symbolically showing that Jesus was alive. Of course, dad would have had the run up to that day beginning with Ash Wednesday, then the period of Lent & the sombre Good Friday, for which I usually gave something up for 40 days & nights (often chocolate!). Easter Day was very much a celebration of life, not just about chocolate eggs, but we had plenty of them too!😄😄

Hi Liyana, who needs an app for the lights when you have a hubbie😂. That colour palette really suits you & your dress is lovely. Like you we all get together sisters, aunts children & grandchildren I set up a craft area for them & we make all kinds of things related to Easter. This keeps them occupied until they remember there are eggs to find in the garden(if it’s not raining) otherwise is a hunt around the home😂but it’s just nice to see them having fun. Ahhhh so many things to see from poundland in your video Liyana.....loved it :). Had to laugh at the goggly eye things.....and I very much agree! :) Oh I did ask about the egg in your other video and did go to my rubbish Poundland to hunt them down.....but again...nope.....they have the worst offerings for easter in there sadly and apart from a few plastic eggs easter was non existant. Cant wait to see how your Etsy idea turns out.....you should go for it and you will do well on there. I am exactly the same when I see things in shops!! I never see it for what it is...Im always thinking of what and where I could glue it, cut it, stick it, paint it :)
Hiiii...I live in Canada so depending on the weather the egg hunt is outside...but my babyboy is 21 now so no more egg hunts but my mom makes a big easter dinner for the whole family! She is the bestest cook ever! Great haul nice to see what you find at your " dollar tree" Thank you for sharing
Our "dollar tree" is no where like what you guys have 😭 they don't stock even wreaths we have to wait till Christmas time, so everyone tends to be jealous at the variety you guys get! @@LiyanaLifestyle I'm from Quebec and don't have a dollar tree, I have to drive over to the next province Ontario which is 45mins to go to Dollar Tree. We only have Dollarama which is from 1$ to 4$...my mom usually makes a Portuguese meal it's like a stew, so so so yummy the potatoes are melt in your mouth! Your nephew and niece will totally love the egg hunt
for me Easter starts on Palm Sunday which starts holy week. Normally we go to church, one year we even went around the village nearby following a donkey, the donkey pooped in church which was so funny..Easter Sunday we go church and have an Easter hunt unless we at our caravan then we just have the Easter hunt, in the past we not found some and they turn up when we gardening. My poundland didnt have that much Easter stuff, i stopped looking as was disappointed
