This case is a slam-dunk for the prosecution, according to Trump's own statements, of admitting he took documents he was not allowed to take. Trump wants it thrown out now. Cannon told him that he has to wait until the jury is selected and the trial starts before throwing it out, in order to have jeopardy kick in. Jack Smith needs her removed yesterday.

Any judges trump appointed to the bench should be required to recuse themselves in a criminal trial involving trump. This is ridiculous.

For most judges, the President who appointed them should not make any difference. If they were properly qualified, they would be fair and knowledgeable about the law. Trump-appointed judges did not rule in favor of his wild and baseless claims about election fraud, for example.
But Cannon is a wild exception. She should have recused herself because she did not have the understanding and experience in such cases and she was way too close to Trump. They really need to appeal to the full panel to get her replaced with anybody else not so attached to Donald Trump and hopefully more knowledgeable.

Dismissed? When is she going to be put in the hot-seat? Just like a president shouldn’t be above the law, neither should a judge. The lack of teeth our system has showed towards those with money/connections is alarming.
She should have recused herself right in the beginning. A judge ruling on a defendant who appointed them is completely biased.
Ironically, the need to accept Cannon was the fact that no other judge was available at the time the indictments were filed. After all these months a trial date has not been set, and I am reasonably certain that other judges have worked through their cases and can take on another one.
So if I was on trial for a felony charge and the presiding judge was a family friend and perhaps had been on vacation with me or my family and knew me personally, there is no way in hell they would let that judge t preside over my trial. Absolutely disgusting. She should be forced to step aside since she hasn't the ethical and moral responsibility to do it herself!!! 🤮

I think that would be a rush to restore faith personally. This debacle is shoe by us all what a joke our so called justice system is. Most people don't interact with the courts enough to see the hypocrisy and lack of justice. I'd bet good money trump doesn't see a cell for as many times he breaks a gag order. I don't see a cell for him and his secret service detail. Any incarceration would have to remove his secret service protection, and I don't even know if a mechanism to do so even currently exists. It should and it may exist, but I'd expect that to happen before any detention takes place. All the way to scouts, judges and our representatives are bought and paid for. They used to be far more discreet, but they are showing us their asses. Pay attention. The Republicans closed ranks and pushed the narrative that instead of having different ideas how to govern, the parties were at war with good vs evil. That lock step partisanship brought the trump takeover. Vote blue, but demand primaries for all the corporate paid for Dems. egregious uh judicial misconduct to
Warrant removal of the case I doubt it

decision uh by him to ask that she be

like case to ask that that the trial
judge be be removed um it would have to
be Beyond compelling

The 11th Circuit knows Judge Cannon is not impartial as a judge in the Trump Mar-a-Lago case. They can REMOVE her and replace Judge Cannon with an impartial jurist. This is just wrong and the 11th Circuit has to step up and do something.

I don't understand how it isn't blatant conflict of interest and inappropriate for a judge to preside over a case where either the plaintiff or defendant is responsible for the judge having their job in the first place. There needs to be a legislative correction to prevent this from ever happening in the future.
