No need to mope, my friend. I'll make sure there are more of these made nowadays. I'm planning to put together a Retro Decade Revival Project. What you said about commercials being entertaining with catchy and fun songs will soon become a permanent reality. Our goal is to bring back heritage and nostalgia and what we always love in the past ranging from the 1980s to the Victorian Era.
Probably the most memorable jingle of my lifetime. It tied the times together, it used Always Coca-Cola and Can't Beat the Real Thing. it only left out Coke is it
Since then this is the most amazing ads of COCA-COLA WAYBACK during my highschool days. And I show to my nephews and nieces they laugh but they love the beat!!! I told them you can't see any ads like this now..
Even right now I'm drinking a Coca Cola because I love that strong flavor that is alternative to coffee and no matter what my mom says about Pepsi it will never compare to the strong deliciousness of Coca-Cola!
I remember this as part of the opening sequence for the "Coke on the Beat" music show on ZTV in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 during the 90s presented by the late great Peter 'The Radio Driver' Johns. We tuned in every Saturday for it....Ah those were the days 😊.
Great commercial.. i'll always remember it.. and it can't get out of my head.. i was just 3 years old when i heard it for the first and i still keep singing it..i live in ecuador so the progaganda in spanish.. they got the best publicity
Always the real thing Always coca-cola One of the best taglines used - simple, classic, memorable. I'm not even sure what the current slogan is but just remember the classics.
I wish they would play this in the coca cola store in Vegas & Atlanta. The only time I have heard the song is during the Super Bowl in the 90s. It is a masterpiece in my opinion.
Thanks for putting this up. I had no idea there was a TV version of this. I remember the radio version but I was a lot younger back then and didn't understand the lyrics at all. Used to think the words were "I waste Coca Cola"
Looks like the snappy tune truly goes in my ears. Napakaganda nito at nakarama nga akong magpakanta lang ang nitong catchy one sa akin kasi lubos na kong nagustuhan. Laging nasa tabi mo ang Coka-Cola. : )
I think that should be the new advert, I will write to them, happy coca cola bottles and cans dancing along to this song on their telly - hehe :) The person who sings has a lovely voice!
A demonstration of how advertising can be an art form. It's an inherently offensive thing to advertise. If you're going to seize people's eyeballs to get money out of them, you make it worth their while. Great work.
For those in the Philippines. This one was air in the Philippines when they air forever knight on RPN 9 on Sundays big event. Then on Million dollar movies on ABS CBN 2
Duuuuuude, I'm from this millenium and I have always said that this century blows, I wanna live back in the 80s and 90s, I wanna live this kind of TV and shit like this... :(
Believe it or not, the 90's dance song "Another Night" by Real McCoy was inspired by this Coca-Cola theme tune. This would have to be one of the best jingles ever made!! What would life be without Coca-Cola?
POTAHNGGGG INAAAAHHHHH! SO FREAKING NOSTALGIC ITOOHHHHH!!!! =) I love watching that commercial with Humpy Dumpy and Ovaltine drink. =( Miss those years.
Dude I will tell you this in the mid 2000s movie theaters were packed and technology got a little good but they still have this when you play this in a movie theater people were grooving
bring back the classic coca cola, i dont care if its not seen as modern, some things are best the way they friggin were! tv was so fun and interesting we'd wake up 6 in the morning to watch shows, when the best thing about video games wasn't the graphics, a land far away before advertising became everywhere all the time, thats the reason its called CLASSIC!
Pak na pak dude. Nakikanta nga ako. How I wish TV commercials would go back into making ads that'll make viewers asking for more. hehe.. #nostalgiapamore
I remember going up to Blockbuster when I was 12-13 and this commercial would be playing over the CCTV system, that would’ve been 1995-96. 35 now. I’d play on the N64 demo system as long as they’d let me
I liked this commercial, except the last time I saw it they were playing it back to back after the previews at the local Blockbuster Video. Ah, memories. Going down there to play the Nintendo 64 they had on display, thinking it was so cool and how much I wanted one before I knew my dad was going to get me one...where does the time go?
just saw this on our Markting 101 Clas..it's under Advertising topic that's why..and we're all just like 'Wow! no wonder it was aired for five years in Pfilippine TV!'
Flashbacks of my childhood. I miss the 90s. Who else agrees that the 90s ruled?
+samdiego hell yeah it did rule ...
yes. I miss those days so much!
+samdiego Me too. I am 29 years now. The nineties were great, though i think the 80s were too!
+Philipp Straten you were born in 80s?
+Cyn Shonny Yes. In 1986
this ad was the best, should show it again!
Memories. Back when commercials were entertaining and the songs were catchy and fun. They don't make em like this anymore.

Coca-Cola has always so funny ads :) almost every Coke commercial is perfect :-)
Coke should make a commercial for there 130th Aniversiry this year and mash up this song with "Teach The World To Sing"
I remember this ad from when I was a child, feelin old man.
@flipsyde1210 Actually it was sung by Joey Diggs. Michael Jackson did a Pepsi commercial...
Listening to this song now at 2021 kinda makes me motivated, i hope you all do too.
