This comment struck a chord, " do I invest in fixed income for safety and virtually guarantee failure, or do I invest in equity and give myself some chance of success at financial independence?"

Also, "go into an information diet!" This is powerful advice, though very hard to follow as we keep looking for the stimulation! Boredom is hard to cope with for the human nature.

Make a discussion on Active mutual funds vs index funds.Should a 30 year old person invest all his money in nifty 50 fund for retirement(60 yr)??

To make money in stock market one needs to be optimistic, being extremely fearful won't help make money out of markets.

Thanks for the information. Just had two queries First, if USA GDP grows at around 4% in long term how its stock market grows at around 10% CAGR sustainably for sucha long term. And second Indian stock market and its GDP cant be compared with other developed nations including japan but we and China have nearly equal population and we started nearly at same time. Yet if you see the Chinese GDP per capita has grown to more than 12500 USD but their share market index has gone literally sideways in last 15-20 years why is it so. Thanks.

I don’t know if this comment gonna get any attention but here it goes :
There are many hybrid indexes but they are not offered by AMC how hard it would be for retail investor to replicate said index ? I looked at the NSE index page and thought this could be tracked if they publish underlying security allocation on daily basis. I don’t know if NSE has public API where we can get this data and adjust our position. I don’t this is just my thought process I could be way off on this.
    Please correct me 😅

With BJP, poor people will be left poor. After being 10 years in power, if they still say this with confidence that we give free ration to 80 crore people what it says about the state of majority of people in our country?
