- My life in the Philippines is very unique...
I always show you my adventures, and focus mainly on learning, education, interactions and happiness... But in this video you will see what I do not usually show you. My typical life in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao. Over the years I have become quite well known around the city... to the point where my everyday activities, tend to take a long time.
It is INCREDIBLY INSPIRING the interaction and vibes I get from the locals... but it can also make life a little difficult from time to time. I didn't plan on having this video happen, but here is a little look into my real life in the Philippines.

I didn't actually plan on showing, talking about, or filming all the photos, and moments like that... The plan was just to focus on the market and cooking... but it just kept happening, and I thought maybe it would be nice to share that side of my life on UA-cam so everyone in this community can better understand what my life is like here.

Your humility is very much appealing to most of the Filipino people in the Philippines and around the world. And that’s the fact that you have to accept. People love you for being you trying to become a Filipino and learning so much about the Philippines and it’s people. You are truly a Filipino by heart and your advocacy which has been a great help in how the Filipinos suppose to live on a daily bases, is very attractive and inspiring. Your simple lifestyle as a blogger is quite different from others. That’s why you get that much attention wherever you go. They know you and wants you to be a part of their life even just for a selfie. Kyle, it's actually interesting to see your how your normal day is like. Even if you're a reluctant celebrity, it's really part of who you are and what you do. 😊I had a boss before who was a former TV news/morning talkshow host and now a current spokesperson of a big local company. I can understand what you're saying about being recognized a lot, pretty much everywhere coz I saw it with my former boss. 🤣 It can get ackward sometimes but you're very accommodating, so that's really nice! 👍 The coconut shredding you showed made use of a mechanized/electric tool. I saw my parents use the manual one, which is called a "kudkuran" in Tagalog (I'm not sure if it's called the same in Bisaya). That was labor intensive but very local. Also, the only other really clean and organized palengke I've seen in the Philippines is the one in Puerto Princesa. We usually buy fresh seafood there and they pack it in styro coolers and seal it so that it's easy to be transported on a plane. I'm now a fan of Boding! He is hilarious! I hope we get to see him and Kumar with the #FighterBoys in your next adventure! 🇵🇭🤙😊

I like this as much as the travel vlogs. It does add time to your trips, but it's all part of the life. " let's watch happy guy" everyday after work. your so positive i hope to meet u one day if we travel to Mindinao. I was born in Borongan and grew up in Aus and really appreciated u making a video there. Also we will be in Phil for 3 weeks in a few months and now regret not booking enough time to see more as you have shown us so many amazing none touristy places. But you could travel Philippines forever so i will need to explore my home country for a solid 2 months at least another time instead of moving on so fast. If your ever around Borongan again your always welcome to stay at my families home

This is a fun video amd i mighr just take a selfie to if i saw you and might cook this. I know how you feel about random people greeting you. 27 years ago in Manila real friends and acquaintances, not random people would say hi to me and have a chat as i would introduce them to whoever i was with even just before crossing the street or in the movie house. I was into commercials, i had a decent job, active in gym, and in church ministries. My sisters always affirms that instead of getting from point A to point B in a few minutes coming with me to the grocery would be like an hour to get things done. So for errands they have me stay home whike they head out. But when i moved to America all that has changed. Here I'm nobody and no one stops me before crossing the street. Imagine how life would have been for me if social media devices were available 27 years ago? Thank you for your video. It brought back nostalgia for me.
