- A question I got recently is how can you be a hypnotherapist and Christian?
And the answer is yes you can be both!!! YES I am an unapologetic believer! Christ is my savior and God's son. He died on the cross for my sins and I am forever thankful for Him. And yes I am also a certified hypnotherapist as well.
While to me, I recognize you can be both I know that most people don't understand how....and the reason I know this is because I was one of them.
When I first sought out to improve my skills as a coach I was seeking a program to learn about EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). I found an amazing program that would help me to become certified in EFT. but the caveat was it also helped me to become certified in hypnotherapy. I was extremely hesitant about the hypnotherapy piece, but I prayed and felt this was the best decision for my business. I even was sure to ask another believer to pray and hold me accountable if I got too far out of line. I then decided to move forward trusting God was with me the entire time.
When I began the program I was totally closed off to hypnotherapy and decided to put my focus on the EFT portion of the program. While I was loving that I noticed that I started to get more curious about hypnotherapy. People were sharing in our online group how it was blowing their mind and the results they were getting. I wanted that and for once I felt like my guard was coming down.
I believe the reason I started to let my guard down was because my coach was always drilling in our head that prior to using hypnotherapy with a patient we needed to ensure it was ethical for 1. the patient/client 2. the clinician 3. the world. I also learned how some people would use it regardless of this, but I was in a group of women who wanted to change the world in the RIGHT way. This level of accountability and support made me feel safe to give it a try. So I took the leap and scheduled a session with one of the women in the program, whom I trusted
I went in for a 45 minute session, and a lot of skepticism and much to my surprise this session changed my life.
I then decided to try hypnotherapy on a great friend of mine who was struggling with losing weight and loving herself totally. She wanted to be more confident and consistent with working out and removing excuses. We did ONE 45 minutes session and since then my friend has lost 30 pounds and worked out 2-3 times per week consistently for the last 6 months!
Hypnosis can be equated to guided visualization. Many people say that it is a a calm, physically, and mentally relaxed state, where they are able to focus deeply on what they are thinking about.
In fact, hypnosis came from the greek word hypnos to sleep, Hypnosis is the induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction.
Literally hypnosis is a great way to get in a relaxed place and open your mind to what you truly desire. It's a powerful way to connect with subconscious to reprogram thoughts/behaviors/actions.
Honestly there is nothing demonic or "woo woo" about it. As the clinician my job is to get you to share your deepest desires, then get you to relax and then I guide you through what it is that you want from a different perspective so you can see what it looks and feels like. More importantly so you can see that this available to you.
Hypnosis is so life changing and I feel like it's a crime that more people don't know about it. As a counselor I have never been more impressed with the shift and breakthroughs that have been created with my clients using hypnotherapy.
So if you desire to have the benefits of hypnosis, but also want to protect your mind look for a Christian hypnotherapist. Hypnosis used to be looked down upon it is now steadily gaining recognition in the world as the means to help people be successful and experience abundance in their lives. And this is ultimately what God desires for us (John 10:10)

@@DrNicolya I asked the Lord early this morning if he wanted me to pursue finding a Christian therapist, to lead me to them and here I am. I'm going to fill out the form. 😊 I am curious if you took your hypnotherapy certification online? Do you have a recommendation for a program online that is "safe" from a spiritual aspect? Any I have found up to this point do seem to have a "new age" focus.

@@norijohnson7381 great question it’s all one program with 7 certifications but I have clients use them together and also clients that focus only on one areas for example I have a client that is solely a hypnotherapist and one who is a human design specialist etc

I am a Christian "HypnoCoach" too. I prayed and found peace with what I was doing because of my intentions which are for God's will to be done even if it means no more hypnotherapy. I LOVE what I do and I'm excited to use Hypnotherapy for God's Purpose! I feel joy and peace in my heart about helping people with it. It is such a great tool that Christians should be able to utilize for their health as well. and it's a shame that there is such a taboo around it. Thank You for spreading awareness on this! @@BriannaLifeCoachperhaps you should read all of 1 Corinthians 10 for context. This talks about idolaters and pagan acts such as sexual immorality, devotion to other gods, and other sins.
Of course, we must ALL pick to follow our Lord Jesus. But this passage tells us when Moses comes back down from Mt. Sinai and sees his followers have created an idol gold bull and devoting their faith to it, eating from animals that have been sacrificed to God, and being sexually immoral among other things.
However, looking at your channel (and your thumbnail pic says a lot), you don’t seem to mind being controlled by material things like expensive bags, clothes, hair, and makeup; as well as influential people (known devil worshippers like Beyoncé and other secular celebrities). You are literally being controlled by Satan by listening to that kind of music and also persuading others to follow your channel and follow what you like. You are leading others to destruction.
By someone merely seeking the help of others, it is not a sin and is not an invitation for Satan. If that’s the case, we are all inviting Satan into our minds and bodies when we seek the help of doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, HAIR STYLISTS, surgeons, etc etc etc.
We ALL seek the help of others in some way or another because that is the help God has sent us and we should use it. He works in mysterious ways. And remember…God says this perfectly clear in 1 Corinthians 10:31-33. If you seek help or provide help (whatever you do); do so in the name of God for the good for many and not for yourself, so that they can be saved.

This is exactly what happens we constantly meditate on or murmur the word of God to ourselves . It directly impacts us subconsciously. I think the opposing saints in the comments don't realize that God originated all of these concepts before other spiritual schools of thought took them for their own. More grace, doc ❤

Its sad when religion shuts it down, as I have also experienced healing in myself and helped heal others with addiction, getting pregnant, phyiscal and mental illness and its disappointing more religions arent open to this amazing work.

I was trained by a world renowned hypnotherapy school to be a hypnotherapist, but I walked away from it because I am Christian and I just kept seeing the negative spirits coming in no matter how I tried to patter in our Holy Father into the scripts. The thing I see is that Jesus meditated and it was our Holy Father who said to meditate on good things first, but the pagans (as always) took that, twisted it and threw in a demonic name. If you look up the root word "Hypnos" it was the name of a demonic entity. Anything that has a Greek root word in it, to me, seems to always be a red flag. Greek roots always seem laden with the Greek's mythology from those days, so the fallen angels, Greek gods, etc., Som what you don't want to do is listen to hypnotherapy all night and make a way for attachment of negative spirits when you think you're doing yourself only good. I think if Christians would take it back to the ancient form of meditation, before the Greeks with all of their paganism tainted it, removing the word "hypno" from it and replacing it with something that's more positive, I could get on board with that.
Hypnotherapy is helping others create a new way of thinking: The Scripture says: speak those things that are not as though they were, and they will come to pass...that is Hypnotherapy.
Correct the enemy can use any tool for evil … discernment
God has a purpose for each of us and I have known for years that God would soon reveal my purpose, and he showed it to me thru you, I'm crying right now with Joy that I can only explain as the holy spirit...I'm going to help people with addiction, pain, anxiety and everything else the devil is throwing at our brothers and sisters in Christ....God's Grace and Blessings and heavy prayer are how I quit drinking as a chronic alcoholic, but I know too many people who can't beat the addiction. I am a Christian and Jesus doesn't allow me to be hypnotised. But that is just me and I have no idea if he doesn't allow others, also.

Hypnosis isn't a good thing it allows you to be in a possessive state, no willpower, no sense of reality.. it's a false fix to any problem. Let's be real. Jesus is the truth he would never suggest or support this. I pray God forgives us, for we don't know the word of God. Instead, we learn the ways of men and neglect the truth of God..
I wonder how watching UA-cam isn't allowing yourself to be hypnotized. Hypnosis is amazing for healthy weight, habit change, insomnia relief and on and on. I love the Lord God Almighty, the one who was, and is, and is to come. The Lord Jesus Christ who died and rose again and is alive today and forever. Hypnosis has helped me in so many ways. When a person visits a doctor and believes a diagnosis, could that hypnosis? How about someone who loses time scrolling? 100% hypnosis. How about a movie? How about telling a child there is a Santa Clause? How about kissing a boo boo to make it heal? 100% hypnosis. It could be that the word hypnosis isn't well defined. What if hypnosis is simply understanding your own mind and using the incredible mind God has gifted us with? Just some ideas to chew on. Much love.

I totally understand what you are saying. The problem we have is in the way we use words. First of all people do not look up for the etymology of a word before they use it or apply it in a situation.They hear someone say that hypnosis is bad so they believe it's bad. For instance the word miracle is used among Christians so it has a religious connation but if supernatural activity was mentioned instead, people would associate it with Sci-fi movies when in fact both words mean the same. Miracle and supernatural are both words relating to the same thing, meaning activities which happen or are performed beyond human ability. Jesus changed water into wine which was a miracle or we can say He was performing supernatural activity.
Likewise people associate the word hypnosis with evil and assume that it is evil. A knife can be used as a useful tool to peel off vegetables or as a weapon of crime when used to kill someone else. Guess what? it's the exact same knife.

How do I find a trustworthy hypnotherapist
I actually dreamt that I was using hypnosis in counseling sessions, (I don't even have a degree but I see myself doing counseling of some sort) but when I asked people believers about it, they stated that it was demonic. This video is very helpful!

True, but hypnosis is not evil or forbidden by God. It’s just a hyper focused state. If you ever watch a film and laugh you are under hypnosis, you daydream? That’s hypnosis. It’s a tool and its medical definition is a state of hyper focused attention.

I am convinced that; if Jesus came to some of you, TODAY, in flesh and did all of the things that you have read about Him doing... Some of y'all would say He is demon possessed, just like those who did Him that way, when He walked among us...
I am starting to see that many do not study to show themselves approved, and would rather dogma than true relationship and purpose... The Bible speaks on renewing of the mind as well as meditating on the Word, day and night... Are some of you saying that the bible is incorrect...?

Can you talk about this? Is this just a myth, or is this something that they observed happening in non-believers who willingly open themselves to some kind of ritual to be possesed by the ungodly spirit?. What's the relationship between hypnosis and demonic possession? Surely the demon is not gonna ask for permission (actually i don't know enough..), allowing the person to have a free will to choose?

I use hypnosis to heal myself and now other, I feel so blessed and more connected to myself. More spirtual and tranformed. I went to a church and felt like I dont have a place there. It happened today so this video helped.

hypnosis isn't like witchcraft. Hypnosis has everything to do your levels of your conscious mind in the hypnotist gives you a suggestion if you're in that state. But witchcraft is about receiving messages from false spirits that makes people even the witches believe that's true even though it's not
