Loved this series of hikes across the u. P. I watch them over and over. At times it is about revisiting hikes I have done. Thank you!

I watched this series over the last year or two and this year I'm attempting my own U.P hike but I'm going from the west side to white cloud in the L.P. approximately 900 miles. So naturally time to re watch as I pre for my hike. Great videos and keep it up

Nice area. I wonder if people hike the North Country Trail in winter 🙂.

Love that view at 5:55! Wasn't aware of any sweeping views like that in this section. That has to be close to Laughing Whitefish Falls? Any coordinates or description of that spot? Thanks!

I've got 6 weeks (Aug and the 1st two in Sep) in 2025. I'm considering a through hike of the UP on the NCT. Any chance I could pick your brain about camping and resupply?

Nice video. I am watching your ntc up videos in sequence. I have thought about through hiking across the up hefore. I have backpacked and hiked sections of the ntc already. What waterfall were you resting at?

Nice! I haven't hiked other parts of the NCT but from what I hear, the UP is one of the best parts. I think that was Rock Falls.

Just watched the video on Amazon. Did someone move your car along for you? I was confused when I saw it at the trailhead, then at the bridge 🤔

Yep we did all kinds of car transfers for these sections. For this one I drove my car to the trailhead, then friends drove it home and picked me up in Munising.

Hi Alex. I'm re-watching this series and planning to hike a few sections in the UP this summer. :) Was that great shelter on the trail behind Lakeland, or nearby?

awesome! Good luck on your hikes this summer. That shelter behind lakenland was right on the NCT. Then if you want to go to Lakenland it's a little side trail that branches off at the shelter.

Love your inspiration!! I wish I was you... We should go camping sometime and show me the ropes!!! Then again, God knows I would complain about all the ANTS

lol it's kind of amazing how quickly you get used to all those things. Exhaustion makes you pretty tolerant to that stuff ha.

I assume it's someone's hunting camp or storage unit. It was kind of weird, but that's the official NCT right there so they must have gotten permission from the land owner.

    What camera do you use?

    • @WildernessMindset

I was using a canon 6D as my main camera and a gopro for some other shots. Today I'm using a sony mirrorless a6500 camera though. It's way better for backpacking I think, because it' smaller.
