I forgot I was running that build until halfway through the sand trash, and was playing it like a MW/DI build. So it was a misplay at the beginning, but you can reference between the second attempt on "Manifested Timeways" through the end of the dungeon for how Heal should typically be used with this build. You are supposed to alternate between Flash Heal and Heal for spot healing when running Lightweaver builds.
Thanks! No, I wouldn't. Although this build would still be comfy to play, the 4pc makes it so much more worthwhile to play a MW/DI build, due to the 4pc causing you to have much higher uptime on DI. The build in this video wouldn't benefit as much from our new tier.
I threw on the first attempt on second boss with my dispel by accident, and we wiped on the last boss when Chromie died (a dps stepped out of the soak circle to CC an Incorporeal), but we still got it in the end. Goes to show how lenient the timer is on this key!
Wait why did you stay in the shadow on the second boss? I am confused. You know the mechanics, am I missing something or? Dont you simply dispel while in the light section? Very confused
Hey, thanks so much for your video, really helpful! Can I ask, what is the wa/add on you are using announcing when to shield/aoe? That could be super useful!
Glad to hear it was helpful! You’ll need the addon, Sharedmedia_Causese, which is an audio pack that unlocks functionality in many different other addons and WeakAuras. Then I think the announcements that are happening in dungeons are either from BigWigs, or an exclusive dungeon pack that’s part of AUI (which unfortunately I can’t share since it’s not mine, but you can get it by subbing to Atrocity on Twitch. I have a video guide for setting that UI up). Hope that helps!
@@roxanneking3015 Lol, you aren’t alone in that. The knowledge required to help smooth out both of those dungeons is so much higher than the other keys, and general pug experience is unfortunately not quite there yet. There are strategies and positioning tricks for each boss that helps a ton, but are extremely punishing if they aren’t done. I would say try to learn what you can do to carry the group for each boss, taking difficult roles on so you don’t have to trust the rest of the group to know what to do. Here are some examples: -Fall- First boss: be the one who tries to run into the soaks after the projectiles go out to soak the small follow-up circle, rather than trusting the tank or whoever was originally targeted. Manifested Timeways: Get comfortable with your own movement so you can be stationary to cast when needed. I highly recommend going counter-clockwise against the way the pie slices are rotating. What I did in this video is wrong. This allows you to stand and cast in dark, then quickly cut across the light in short bursts. For the dispels, position yourself toward the right of the dark slices in case you get one of the debuffs, that way you can quickly dip into light and dispel yourself immediately instead of waiting on the dps to notice they have it. This gives the second person much more time to get into position, and gives you as much time as possible to heal the group between the dispels. Blight: watch who the boss is casting corrosion on so you can be prepped to start healing them. Use Psychic Scream to break the Necrofrost root off of yourself, and watch diligently for frontals. This boss just sucks and takes practice Iridikron: Be intentional about watching Chromie’s health. As Disc you should be fine with just keeping atonement on her and carrying on with your normal play. As Holy, I make a point to top her off after each soak mechanic, and double check she is full leading in to the next one. -Rise- Tyr: Position yourself on the edge as much as possible, and stay spread so you can dispel yourself quickly. There is a TON of time before the second dispel falls off, so you have as much time as you need to top off the group. If it overlaps with the soak, run to the far edge of the circle and the rebuffed player should be able to still get in without hitting the rest of the group. Pugs are bad at this though, so make sure you use either GS or DP yourself. Move early for the orbs so you are in position to cover a quadrant and the rest of the group subconsciously moves to cover other areas. Sand Trash: It’s all about the dispels. Dispel the Burn from the Rift Mages asap. The Anomaly dragons put a bite on the tank and another target, dispel the non-tank. Watch as stuff dies to heal the aoe burst Morchie: Watch where the tank is standing so he doesn’t put the frontal on you. When clones come out, you can stand on the inside of it and fear it toward the edge, allowing dps to trap theirs first. Watch the debuff to make sure it falls off before kiting yours into a trap. For the clone mini game, just trust your group if you’re bad at finding her, and you can watch where your party is moving rather than looking for the boss. If you are late and not going to make it all the way to her in time, she frontals down the center of the platform, so you can run to a side edge to potentially dodge it. Battlefield: Watch the tank mortars, and run like crazy if it’s on you or you can get trapped. The sappers don’t hurt, I just let them hit me and keep doing my thing. For the boss, stand on the edge to try to bait the 3 frontals toward an edge away from the middle of the platform. If the frontal hits adds, be prepared to heal big AOE group damage for the boss’ next few auto attacks. Watch party members with bleeds on them, and hit them generously with ST heals. Chronolord: Volunteer to handle the orbs and tell everyone else to get out asap. This is easiest with 1-2 ranged in the group, 3 makes it more unreliable. When the orbs come out, stand in yours until you top off the group and the debuff falls off, then move out. There’s a point where you will need to sprint across the room in order to be in position, otherwise you’ll fall behind and the orbs will spawn with you out of range of the boss and the rest of the team. For P2, play it the same, just top off the group and use the swirlies as your cue to move out of your orb. There’s probably more I could type, but this is already very long for a UA-cam comment. Hope that helps, let me know if you need anything! 😀
I was better about it last season, I’ve been playing disc in keys without rhapsody, and this has been my only key I’ve done as holy this season so far, so I’m out of habit.

@@ragnongaming thanks! I messed up and learned disc. It feels so mucb more powerful than holy rn. Holy carried me when I was learning the boss fights.
No shame in it, disc is awesome! That’s the benefit of having 2 heal specs, play whatever is stronger or what you’re having more fun with 🙂

@coryhenshaw2462 It was a mistake. Was on baby duty and got distracted, and didn’t realize I had it. Much cleaner on second attempt

How you finding Holy vs Disc? Also what is the toy that shows older cloaks called do you know?

According to your build, you almost use Heal like an emergency spell or you cast it sometimes rather than Flash heal ?
