Yeap that's true. Polish Fighting Team , they were flying in Tunisia. They called them Skalskis Circus , from the name of the commander Stanislaw Skalski. Great story. Francis Gabreski or Donald Kutyna no need to introduce.
Make sometime an episode about PZL 37 Los twin engine polish bomber , who was proud of Polish Air Force. Best Regards and thank you very much for making time to do this film, and spreading the word about Polish Aviation. God bless you.
Thank you for the introduction, and education, of the Polish Air Force, and the P-11!!! As much as you were unaware, of the Polish contributions in WWII, with their Air Force, and this aircraft, so was I (and I follow WWII, and it's weaponry. And I'm Polish). So Poland was the first Allie sorte, to shoot down, an Axis plane😲⁉️ And it was the P-11🤔!? And Poland produced, the first Ace to emit, outta WWII?? Would that be, on BOTH SIDES???
No, according to my research, Stanisław Skalski was the first ALLIED ace of the war. Glad you enjoyed and were informed by it! I have two other Polish planes on my to-do list: PZL-37 "Łoś" heavy fighter/light bomber and PZL-23 "Karaś" light bomber/scout plane.
If you want to educate yourself, any further, you'll realize that, there's NO SUCH WORD, as 'polack'. Only in the idiotical world, of Archie Bunker, that terminology exists. And he unfortunately, was a lowly republican, bonehead😆…………

The P.24 was built for export and was license built by Turkey and Romania. It was not used by the Polish Air Force since it was only marginally better than the P.11 and the P.Z.L. P.50 Jastrzab (Hawk) on the drawing board was more promising as a fighter aircraft.
@@WAL_DC-6B thanks,it had though a stronger engine plus two 20mm guns in the wings and it did quite well in the RHAF with about 140(?) kills against mainly the RA...
Poland may not have produced many great aircraft , But they produced Many Great Airmen .

When you lose a dogfight to a Stuka you know it's against the Polish Air Force.
