Approx last week Trinity Reservoir started releasing water from storage for fish. From now until March 14, the reservoir will empty 600 - 2,000 acre feet daily. From March 15 - April 14, that release will be maintained, or increased if we get more rain. Beginning April 15, the reservoir will begin a “spring snowmelt restoration release” to be determined based on the April water year forecast. No endangered salmon populations have ever improved as a result of these massive water releases. I also want to point out this environmental water is “developed” water coming from the same place as water for food and people.
I hope people will read your comment and realize that the governor has diabolically planned these water releases in order to create a drought situation.
At least thee was a break with these recent storms from the earlier storms in January. There was a lot of water still sitting around for a while after those first storms cleared out.
They left an important piece of info off of that graphic. The "drought outlook" is based on the Drought Monitor. The drought monitor does not reflect real drought but impacts from not having water in those areas, which in the case of California continues to be a policy created problem not weather.
Probably, Sacramento could end up just under inch of rain once month of February is done. But not bad after a slow start plus March could be a very wet month if not record setting in some area.
Sacramento in its natural state is a Floodplain and wetlands . If you remove all the Dams and water bypasses and the deep water channel(Man Made) didn't exist. . The American River was moved around downtown so it wouldn't flood. The original City is Under Ground . They Basically Built a new city on top of the old so the city so it would sit higher so the flooding wouldn't effect it. Sutter's Fort Was built on a small hill so when it flooded it wouldn't flood the fort. Most of the Newer Tack Homes in Elk Grove all have mold problems . Why? Because Elk Grove sits on wetlands. That's why the Valley soil is so rich for Farming. That much rain for CA is not unusual and is not caused by so Called Climate Change. Or at Least your definition from it or what you have been taught. The Weather patterns are always changing . You cannot predict Seasonal weather changes. Only to about. 60-70%. States Like UT, CA , CO have more dramatic weather cycles . Doughts, Rain, Snow . The Biome landscape proves that. And that's over 100s of thousands of years .
Poor truckers have had a tough time two years running. Don't complain about empty shelves in supermarkets. This is why it happens. Major storms cause slow downs for truck drivers going east/west.
The governor is behind the massive release of reservoir water down to the ocean. The excuse that it's to save the fish is a myth. His plan to eliminate natural gas appliances is catastrophic. The mining of the minerals that are needed for solar batteries is absolutely catastrophic to the environment. I wish people would do more research. Those solar batteries only last about 10 years, then they are tossed in a landfill to pollute the environment. Why can't people see that the guv is laser focused on destroying this state. He is a demon.
Yup! We should collect rainwater in a basin (we know them as reservoirs) and save it before it goes to the ocean. Why didn’t we think of that? 🙄 "So far this year, beginning October 1, we've had 91,000 acre-feet go out past the Highway 1 gage, so you know it is almost double a normal year, so it's been very wet but most of it just goes out to the fish," said David Stoldt with Monterey Peninsula Water Management District. That 91,000 acre-feet they lost is actually is equivalent to roughly 29.6 billion (not million as they incorrectly wrote) gallons of water going out to sea, or nineteen years' worth of drinking water (not nine years) for the Peninsula.
@@easternyellowjacket276 -- When will people understand that the governor is systematically destroying this state? Yes, he is emptying the reservoirs in order to create drought.
@@ginofilippi7961 -- the governor is ensuring that our water is released from the reservoirs to go down to the ocean in order to create continued drought. Why can't people see that he is laser focused on destroying this state.

California needs 1000-2000% snowpack and rainfall over the entire state(Oregon and Washington, too) for an entire winter into mid Spring for at least a year to only be marginally out of drought conditions for the summer, and needs summer rain to maintain that for L.A. to be slightly green--even in Palm Springs. That's not gonna happen.
@@easternyellowjacket276 Look up breeds that love snow, you'll probably find plenty of stories of huskies and samoyed who use the dog door to go out in snow and stay there of their own accord.

Hopefully our governor will stop releasing all of the water from the reservoirs down to the ocean.
There should be newer sources of water saving facilities being built right now!!!!! But what's Newsome doing?..... nothing!😨🥺😢

HOLDING ON BARELY BY A THREAD
Spring days, fly by,
Cherry trees blossom, then die.
I do everything you said, O Lord,
But here I lie, still alone in thia bed, O Lord,
Barely holding on by a thread, MiLord,
Holding on barely by a thread.
II
Summer days, balmy and warm,
Sparrows and hawks find a home.
I did everything you said, O Lord,
But here I lie, still alone in this bed,
I pray my husband is not like me, lonely or afraid,
I'm Barely holding on by a thread, Lord,
Holding on Barely by a thread.
III
Leaves turn red, gold, Orange and brown,
The only voices that speak to me,
'Cause there's absolutely no one else around.
I pray my one and only had family close in town,
And still does everything you've said, O Lord,
Three years since release from jail's floors for a bed,
Still holding on by a thread, MILORD,
I might as well be dead, MiLord,
Might as well be dead,
Holding on barely by a thread.
IV
Here we are again, winter's stormy tears of rain,
Full circle, around and around you take me,
Is this how you treat your child of faith?
There is no out, no reward, no end to this pain and lonely fate,
I pray my sacred heart husband will enter the narrow gate,
'Cause If this is your love, my Lord, we dare never feel your hate,
'Cause here alone I seem to forever be faithfully doing all you've said,
Still holding on by a thread.
Holding on barely by a thread,
A public nuisance and freak, instead.
V
Spring flies in again, rain on the hoof,
Thank you, my Lord, you've given me a protective roof.
But Lord, though your Spirit sustains my body and soul,
We're only human, MiLord,
We both need some body to hold,
I only know that I simply cannot go on.
'Cause I'm barely holding on by a thread, O Lord,
I'm barely holding on,
I'm Holding on barely by a thread, MILORD ,
Holding on barely by a thread, MILORD,
By a thread, O LORD,
Barely by a thread, MILORD.
VI
You're all I'm living for, O Lord,
You're All I'm living for,
But I am only human, MiLord,
A Man needs a woman, and a Woman needs a man,
It's be one, together, you made us,
Land for sea,
Sea for land.
Please refrain my lover from seeking solace in other arms,
Please send me a love of my own, Lord, to warm,
Just a shoulder to lean on,
Or a hand to squeeze and hold,
'Cause right now, I'm holding on by a thread, O Lord,.
Holding on barely by a thread,
By a thread. O LORD!
Holding on Barely by a thread.
Lord, I cannot go on.
