    Man... I looked at several repeater videos and gave up... their tutorials were terrible and confusing. So I did a workaround to do duplicates of the lines for a burst look. Later, just stumbled to your video and finally it worked! Thank you so much for a very clear, clean tutorial of the line burst!

    This is such an ideal scope of a tutorial. I’ve been using AE for years, but there are always tools I haven’t used/forgot about. Thanks for this!

    Your tutorials are great, but if your target are beginners like me, I would suggest to slow down a bit and don't omit little details like how to show that grid to center the anchor point, how to duplicate an element, etc. Thanks!

    at 1;32 when you were making your "start"key frame for the path, you said " set it to zero" but you moved the precent to 100%. took me a few times to see because I was practicing along side the video. Great stuff by the way.

    I was following this step by step to learn this technique and was getting SUPER frustrated because I was SURE I was doing everything exactly as you were saying and it wasn't coming out like yours was! After a LOT of replays and zooming in to see your screen better - I realized that at about 1:31 you say set the Start to 'Zero' but on screen you are setting it to 100! That is crucial and you may want to change it so others aren't all messed up on this process like I was, thinking they are doing exactly what you are SAYING but you are actually setting it to 100 and NOT to 0. Now that I've sorted that out, it does work.

    Your videos are awesome. Learned about few new options, but im a total novice. So your video seemed a bit fast to grasp. But on the bright side im sure if i follow up what u said i can duplicate it perfectly upon practice. You could have said how you animated the letters. That looked cool. Thanks for the video. Kudos. Thumbs Up

    You should use "ctrl + alt + home" to center the anchor point to the content, then use "ctrl + home" to center the content to the comp.
    Rather than moving the anchor point with the pan behind tool.

    At 2:03 I was having a issue following along. I duplicated the layer and deleted the shape layer but my trim path was also deleted with it. I just copied the trim path from my first layer and applied it to my other shape layer and got the desired effect. Hope that helps anyone’s who’s lost. Other then that these tutorials are very good and informative.

    • @Volidee
      @Volidee 2 роки тому +1

      Same problem here. Then I realized his Trim Paths is under contents, and mine was under the shape. If you click and drag trim paths to be under the contents, it will apply to all new shapes you create there.
