Tcm nailed the turbo noises and shifting sounds and for me it sounds the best by far
I love to see the nfs heat backfire in the crew motorfest, and they should do the customization part, I barely modify my car with my taste💀💀

@@stefan_4508 not even close, they're the only one who really try to make the cars sound unique. Crew doesn't do this as much and the cars in Forza just sounds generic, the amount of times they've reused car sounds is shameful.

One thing i noticed with sounds is CrewMF going thru tunnel is far superior than FH5. Going from outside then into tunnel on FH5 its a really weird transistion kinda bugs out CrewMF its a smooth transistion
I miss the NFS Blackbox era that when you redline, the car would have a distinctive sound, separate from the normal revving sound

Motorfest easily has the best sound I mean they literally got their sound by hooking mics up to the engine and exhaust of every car in the game to get almost if not 100% accurate car sounds
Every car game has that type of development, it's nothing new, they have been doing that since the 2000's

@@makavelihammond7888 That's because modern day microphones and sound development and studios have improved so much so that they can actually properly sample the sounds, they have been recording live car sounds before anyone who plays them today were born, it's not unheard off dude.

for me personally .... Forza Horizon 5 is unmatched ..... Visual, Sound , Physics everything .... yes there are some drawbacks , but its the closest to being perfect,,
btw before comparing remember FH5 its a 2021 game ... still better than anything out there ....

@LaferrariDaOnlyCar what kind of setup do you play fh5 on? Just have to honest man...I know forza's only on Xbox but we can't compare nfs and TCM with fh5. It's leagues above. Nfs and TCM are quite fun to play but not as immersive

@bigsmoke5814 Honestly, I can't disagree, I still go back to those videos of those 2 games being compared in sound design to other games, it's still leagues above all other games easily.
Look up "1995 McLaren F1 GTR with Open Exhaust ORGASMIC BMW V12 Engine Sounds. Listen to the audio. I did this for every car, looked up some videos with some sound files and played it at the same time with the video, kept replaying for every game, kept replaying for every clip and different video with different sound files to see which one matches the most, the F1 in both NFSU and FH5 sound very close to the real car while TCM sounds very far off. NFS needs to raise the pitch higher while FH5 needs to lower the pitch just a little bit. That's just my thoughts on it anyway.
@@leofhr2966 nfs was always ahead with sound and car modifications. but they seriously need to focus on car handling.
I overall agree with this list. Some are close, like the McLaren F1 and the Lamborghini Aventador, both FH5 and NFSU are very close to the real sound. Personally the rev of the BMW M4 in FH5 is accurate, but the acceleration and overall sound is better in NFSU for example is another thing I notice between soke of the comparisons, it's the same for some other cars, some sound better while revving others better in accel. NFSU is usually the one who is close with either TCM or FH5. The only vehicle NFSU doesn't get right almost at all is the Bugatti Chiron.
My preference will not count since i'm using only Zendo Revolusound for FH5. 🤣
Most people criticize nfs unbound for its boring storyline and cringe soundtrack, but they do not realize that ea did cars sound in the game pretty well. Nevertheless I still enjoy and love these three games equally

Sound doesn't really matter if compared too graphics and story line, would you rather buy gta 3 for sounds or you rather buy gta 5(Example)

The only 2 "problems" about NFS car sounds is that some cars are just too quiet, and most cars sound worse when standing and just revving instead of driving. Otherwise the cars sound amazing
can you share the sound settings used in motorfest? I played around with them but engine audio is still not as Loud and Clear like your gameplay, it seems to be suppressed by other sounds

some of the sounds in forza are trash, BUT BRO THAT M4 SOUNDS INSANE.
The brutality and resonance of fm5 with the run off crackle of motorfest, with the turbo blow off of NFS would be unbeatable.
All things considered I’m still pulling towards FM5 having the best sounds, which is really surprising, I don’t think I’d feel that way.
It’s very close though, I think the skyline and lambo’s sound best in horizon but the rotary’s definitely sound better in the other 2 games.
And the there’s FM8……🤮 massive step back on sounds, after all the work that went into FM5.

I found this comparison kinda weird because you didn't test all cars stock, as we can see given on Forza the cars in this test tend to rev higher, like sure it's an upgrading feature but then I feel you should compare cars stock then upgraded. Good video apart from that

@@TheBossGamingWell no the cars from Forza arent stock, its fairly easy to tell by looking at the redlines, acceleration, sounds and such. Take the F40 you compared, revs to about 7.5k rpm in Unbound and Motorfest, but in Forza in your video here it revs to 9k. So its not stock. Its not a deep thing, just make sure to double check cars before the test so its as accurate and fair as possible

After having played Codemasters' cool series (DIRT and GRID), almost everything feels like a downgrade. NFS has really unique sounds tho, very pleasant to hear, TCM also has its charm. Horizon has improved a lot since their last game but it still feels a bit off.

@@michaelschneider1365 From what I've heard, better than the precursors (played 4, 5 and sport), but it's still not that good compared to GRID 2 onwards, let alone Dirt Rally.
nfs from 2005 until today has had good sounds in the cars, some say that they sound horrible because they surely hate the franchise and will not accept it, the driving can be bad and the story is embarrassing, but what makes nfs stand out the most is the sound of the cars, they sound good and very similar to real cars, when they are stock they sound stock, because I have seen that the supra in other games gives a sound as if it had 700 hp when the car is stock, and the supra stock sounds a little silent.
NFS MW 2005 are ctrl + c and ctrl + v but they were improved from NFS UG2.
While ye nfs has pretty decent sounds the devs never seemed able to get all the cars to use the correct sounds for cars
dude, you are a kid if you think all the cars in old NFS games were accurate. People love old NFS games because their arcady car physics and music selection were great and had good progression. Not because of engine sound. I never cared about car engine sounds in the game.

I prefer Nfs Heat's version of the sounds. I have to say they did upgrade some cars like the Lambos, but some cars sounded better in Heat
Most of the sounds are re-used from NFS Heat though.

Heat’s car sound volume is a lot louder as well. In Unbound they’re a lot lower despite the recordings being better.

@@HeroManNick132 Interesting! Thanks for letting me know that. Hopefully they can balance the audio mixing in a patch if that even happens. Cause then again, Unbound has some good car sounds. The engine volume just needs that extra punch haha.
so motorfest is showing up on the xbox store on my xbox but not my pc. i was expecting to be able to download the game on my pc aswell.

with fh5 i can only buy it once and be able to play on both platforms, but because of ubisoft i cant play on xbox and pc without buying the game on the ubisoft store and the xbox store. i have to buy the game twice because xbox store on pc is not showing anything.

The reason Forza sells is because there's no bullshit premium currency or season pass, you can grind everything for free and expansions are a whole different games while other two offer 2 cars for the same price as two expansions.

Firstly, how the Lamborghini Aventador sounds in Forza Horizon 5 I say is 100% accurate cause last I heard in reality it had that goat type sound. Secondly since when did the Porsche have 2 gears? Last I checked it's an EV and should have only one gear.

@chaseboy225 Not all games are accurate or realistic or good, that's why you gotta do your own research, that's why people make comparisons to these games or show off details and or lack there of. You need to know these to spot them

The only thing NFS games had over others was engine sounds and car customisation. If TCM delivers in both areas, NFS may finally get "obsolete"

People confuse loud sounds with best, but if you listen closely, forza has more realistic sounding cars(mostly)...just don't sound as loud.
Um, no, in fact, Forza is the loud and proud one, but not at all realistic, NFS and TC do a much better job at accuracy in the sound department, don't even try to argue that.
