Set in a fictional jazz club, SCAT!… The Complex Lives of Al & Dot, Dot & Al Zollar is a dance-driven musical that tells a love story of two people making their way during the Great Migration through song, dance and storytelling. It is a powerful tale of one family and what happens when dreams encounter the realities of American life in the 40s & 50s. SCAT!… The Complex Lives of Al & Dot, Dot & Al Zollar features an original jazz score performed by a live band.

Just saw this show in Los Angeles on 11/24/24. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The music, the singing, the dancing, the storytelling! As a Black woman whose parents were a part of the great migration it took everything in me to keep from jumping up and yelling out "Go on y'all!" throughout the entire show!!! BRAVO!!!!
