Thank you for your bark grafting technique. I applied it successfully. Just one comment, instead of v shape cut on scion, sloping cut (bevel) on only inner side that faces cambium layer is sufficient.
Hi, thanks Alex for a warm feedback, the best time to do is just before spring or early spring time, remember to cover the graft with bags so it doesn't expose to the harsh heat from the sun. Good luck if you are planning to do grafting, feel free to drop any comments 👍🍐🍓🌲🌳☘🍀🌱
What time of the year is it? I live in Iran, I recently bought a farm which has bad quality pomegranates fruits. I am hearing many contradictory information. I love what u did. Please help.
Thanks for this informative video. Please, I have a question, I have an ornamental pomegranate but am wondering if I can graft a fruit bearing varieties onto it.(ie , using the non fruiting variety as my rootstock) am tired of year round beautiful blooms without a single fruit. what do you think please sir.
Thank for your comment. From what I understand, you get higher successful rates when the root stock and scionwood are in dormant state...but my cherry graft on plum tree..was successful graft in summer 👍👍
Thank you for the video! I have a question. I saw that you removed the tape only some weeks or months later. Isn't it quite early to remove the support? If there is a strong wind, won't it be in danger of breaking? I'm asking because I had too many quince trees and I grafted some varieties of pears on them. Three years later after some bad weather and strong winds some of them broke. It was very disappointing because it was the first year they had produced pears after the grafting. Thanks.
Thanks for watching my video 👍 Yes, I have the same thought, what I did, I retap the branch with the film to support just in case the wind could break the grafted branch. I have an update video soon, Please keep an eye out for it.....love you guys👍👍👍
I am going to try your way, but I am puzzled about timing. Ur scion had leaves on it. And I see a lot of greenery around you. The bark has also leaves.
Thanks for watching.
