I love how you actually told us where you were going in the end. So many people that make these videos just leave the video on a cliff hanger. So thanks for not doing that 😂
To be fair she posted this almost a year later, long after she committed. Most people post right after their last decision is out and need time to think before choosing the right college
Like the way of how you’re calm when looking at the decisions for the colleges you applied to. Hopefully you can earn yourself a spot for the colleges you got waitlisted on.
Thank you so much for your honesty and vulnerability. As a parent of two college age students, I feel that the name of the college doesn’t define you but what you make of it. And now you won’t be straddled with an insane amount of debt!
I was kind of surprised that you applied to Michigan State for neuroscience/neurobiology/biology, especially when you also applied to Harvard. The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, would likely be a better choice as it is much higher ranked than Michigan State. Congratulations on the University of Arizona acceptance and glad to hear that you like it there.
I wanted to apply to UMich but it was just way too expensive for an out-of-state student. Michigan State gave me money which is why I applied even though they aren’t as known for my major. Hope that helps! Thank you!
@@aannapark - That makes a lot of sense. I'm sure the weather is better in Arizona than in Michigan anyway. As Americans we are lucky in that there are many excellent universities to choose from. The best of luck to you and I hope you have a great holiday season!

Woah, as a high school student from Russia, it was interesting to see how USA education system works... And I learned a few new words. Btw, in Russia after high school you need to take specific exams, which results with determine what university you can get into...so gpa isn't really important. And we don't have credits system but it sounds interesting...
how do you know when a decision for a college is coming out that day? like all my friends seem to know but i never know the exact day, i just randomly see an email that says the decision is out lol
Like the other people said, a few of my colleges told me the exact date and others I had to look up on the internet. I applied to a bunch of rolling admission schools so the decision dates were all surprises to me until I checked my email.
some colleges have a specific day where they’ll release decisions depending on whether you applied ea/ed/rd. but some colleges don’t have a set date for when they’ll release the decision
For someone who's not an American. I automatically knew that she was applying for something relating to science or medicine typed subjects just by the title thanks to greys anatomy since they always mention those colleges😂
it was too expensive for me as an international student and for the college of science so unfortunately i couldn’t go but i was so grateful for the acceptance!
Congrats Anna💗💗 umm i have a question did u apply to all these colleges from the common app? And should we pay 80$ on every single application or some of them is for free?
thank you 💗 i applied to all except university of arizona and mcgill through the common app. some of the application fees were less than $80 and i got fee waivers for a few of them.
@@daphney650 the location of BU is in like the most busiest and crowded part of boston, there’s basically no privacy since you’re in the city, there’s soooo many students so you just feel like a number, a lot of racism and microagressions, the campus is HUGE so it can take 20-30 mins just to walk to another class, and our grade deflation is really bad so BU is the hardest school to get an A. But there’s obviously good things abt BU. it just depends on what kind of school you like!
I applied at the beginning of August and both were rolling so they came back a few weeks later. They should have all of their deadlines on the website if that helps :)
hi! i am also looking to apply to McGill, and I was wondering when you submitted your application? I have heard of people getting their results in late May, and I do not know if that is influenced by when they submitted their application. Thanks!
i think i submitted my application around mid-november so kind of early... but i got my results in february! i think it may be because of rolling admissions. hope that helps!
i love my major here!! i’ve met the most wonderful and supportive people in the same majors. since i’m a freshman, i don’t take a lot of neuroscience specific classes yet, but i’m involved in neuroscience research already and it’s super interesting!!!

I can guess based on the schools you applied to that you're probably from West Michigan, possibly Grand Rapids area. I'm curious, why didn't you apply to UMich?
I’m actually from Illinois so it would’ve been expensive as an out-of-state. I didn’t apply to my state school for personal reasons and it being too close to home.
i tried to keep a positive mindset the entire process because i wasn’t sure what was going to happen! celebrate your little wins with the colleges you do get into and don’t worry about the rejections. it just means the school wasn’t right for you anyway :)
One more question please the acceptance is it recorded on your grades or on the universities prices ? My daughter to study criminology and there no way here in Lebanon, could you please if I send you my address to send some universities brochures by ordinary mail, I would world be thrilled if you helped me figure this out for her. Thank you, you are so sweet.
