We had an absolute blast in Europe and feel great about having some spare drive legs to fall back on, but we are so excited to be back on Thalia and are ready to kick off more boat life adventures!
I’m a Swedish guy living in Tokyo. Been following your channel for a while now. So happy to see you are in Sweden. Didn’t know that Michaela had Swedish blood in her😊
We absolutely loved the day in Sweden and the time we spent in Tokyo! There is literally an endless amount of stuff to do in Tokyo, can't wait to go back one day. It is almost a half joke, since we are obviously American, but Michaela does indeed have a bit of Swedish heritage, even if none of the traditions really came along with it 🙂 Thank you for coming along with us on our adventure! ⛵🎉
It was a lot to move! And sometimes it was quite a challenge to get the bags on the train in the short amount of time they were stopped, but we made it happen! Thank you so much for watching! ⛵🎉🙂
Welcome back guys! We missed you. Lol I don't know why but I always pictured Casper as like a 70 year old skinny dude with a beard. Kinda like a stereotypical old sailor😂. Glad you guys had fun and are safe.
Thank you so much! We are so glad to be back! I feel like it is easy to think of all sailors as that way but turns out there are plenty of regular people of all shapes and sizes sailing around the world 🙂 Thanks so much for picking up our adventure! Can't wait to share more about our boat life journey! ⛵🎉 Thanks for being here Kourt!
Glad you enjoyed the adventure! We had a ton of fun over in Europe and are really glad we had the chance to share it, but you are right, it feels amazing to be back on Thalia, it feels like it is where we belong 🙂 Thank you so much for your support! 🎉⛵
Awesome video as always! I'm glad that you guys made it safely and had some fun in the process!! I can't wait to see what comes next in your boat life adventure! 🔥🔥🔥
🙂 So glad to hear you enjoyed the video! It was a great trip but also reminded us how much we love our floating home Thalia 🙂 Thank you so much for being part of our adventure! ⛵🙂🎉
Great episode. You made it to Malmö! YAY! We have lived in Australia for 10 years now, so jealous that you got to eat Princesstårta. Miss it very much. I was flying out of Kastrup pretty much every week for work from 1996 to 2006.
Thank you for the kind words! The Princesstårta was delicious and honestly, already miss it! Flying for work every week sounds exhausting, but also like you have probably seen a ton of places! Australia is super high up on our list to visit, can't wait to get there! Thank you so much for watching! 🎉⛵
So glad your trip to Europe went pretty much as planned. I love seeing and hearing the joy and happiness in your voices. Welcome home missed you last week
It is funny when a trip goes pretty much right to plan, doesn't happen often for us! We are so glad to be back home on Thalia 🙂 Thanks for watching! ⛵🎉
You two are great story tellers! We aren’t just watching your adventures, you manage to bring us in so we feel like we are there experiencing it with you!
Thank you so much for the kind words! We have spent years trying to learn how to tell a good story, so we are so glad to hear you feel like you are getting the experience along with us 🙂😊 We really appreciate you taking the time to join us on this weeks off boat adventure! 🎉⛵
We are so glad to hear that you enjoy coming with us on our adventure! We are so glad to have you here with us 🙂 Thank you for the continued support! ⛵🎉
No kidding! We looked and it was a bit out of the way this time around, but have heard nothing but good things! Will have to make it a priority next time 🙂 Thank you so much for joining us on this adventure! ⛵🎉
Fun video, well done on the drive legs! Denmark/Sweden brought back old memories, thx! Next unexpected challenge (we both share) is keeping the waterline clean in the Bay! Thanks, Andrew
Thank you so much! Glad we could bring up some good memories for you 🙂 No kidding on the waterline! It has been a chore that we have been trying to keep up with but wow does it grow fast! Thank you so much for joining us on our adventure! ⛵🎉
Boooo! that you had to say goodbye to Thalia, but then YAYYY that you get a holiday in Europe and pick up some really handy spares! Loved your reaction to the food! One thing to be aware of is that food standards are somewhat higher in Europe compared to the US so don't be overly surprised at differences in flavour when you compare to what you've been used to. I'm not trying to say that American food is rubbish, more that we tend to use less chemicals and less processing when making a lot of the food here. It doesn't mean we have only good food either, there is bad food as well. Super lovely that you got so well looked after by Kasper and family, plus being able to get to see your respective families on your way back. This is, in no way meant to be offensive in any way but Patrick's dad gives me Brent Spiner vibes lol I've seen your other reply btw and just wanted to add here that I bet you can't wait now for the journey south! I expect it's starting to turn colder for you at your current latitude so, even though you're slightly behind timewise (which is what I'm inferring from your reply), moving south will definitely be a good thing. The sooner you can get back to warm blue waters the better!
The spare drive legs really make the whole thing worth it! I have heard a lot about that when it comes to the food in Europe and I will say I felt quite a bit better when eating over there. It was a really lovely trip! Funny you mention Brent Spiner as we had no idea who that was, but Patrick has started watching TNG so it is kind of a funny coincidence lol We absolutely can not wait to get back heading south and getting into the warmer waters, just have a lot of projects to do in the meantime! It is going to be busy as always! Thank you as always for your support in our adventure, it really means so much to us 🙂
@@patrickandmichaela things like drinkable tap water as well for us. We have less harmful contaminants found in our drinking supply and companies that produce food are usually held to account if something goes wrong. I hope your time in Europe has given you the incentive to sail over this way sooner 😎 Patrick's just started on TNG? That's so cool! As it happens I'm rewatching it all at the moment as I'm in the middle of a "must watch it all in chronological order" session. Started with Star Trek Enterprise and I'm on season 1 episode 19 of Next Gen. As it happens I'm only a few months older than Will Wheaton so, having someone "my age" to relate to was great back in the 80s. I can't wait to see you guys head south and move towards a warmer climate. Can't wait to see you handle the trek across from Florida again and see how much better you'll both be on that journey. Not trying to put pressure on you there, merely looking forward to seeing how the lessons you've had will inform your sailing 😉
Yeah, we would love to spend more time in Europe! Will have to see when it fits into the sail plan 🙂 and yes! Patrick has always loved Sci-Fi and only just now got into TNG, but is loving it so far even though people say the first bit of it is kind of rough lol We also can't wait to get headed south, really looking forward to it 🙂
@@patrickandmichaela You'll love the Med for sailing when you can eventually get Thalia across this way (even if you do plan to go "the wrong way round" lol). There are a large number of European sailing channels here on YT so hopefully if you're following some you'll get an idea of what to expect. Fab to read that Patrick is loving watching TNG. Mind if I ask where he's up to now? And definitely with you on the heading south thoughts. Can't wait to see you both enjoying the sunny Caribbean!
Season 1 Episode 4! It has been so busy with the boat show there has not been a lot of star trek time unfortunately 😂 I am sure we will end up in the Med eventually!
I love your honesty Michaela, anxiety is horrible, overwhelming sometimes. But i admire your determi atuon to cope with it. We used to have a 20foot motor cruiser, i was terrified if we went out of our local harbour, crying to go back in. You are far braver. Lovecthis episode.
Anxiety is such a tough thing to battle with! Sorry to hear it gets to you as well 🙂🤗 We are so glad you enjoyed this episode, it was a little off topic for us, but still all part of the adventure! Thank you so much for being here with us, we really do appreciate it! 🎉⛵🙂
What a fabulous holiday . . Well "working holiday" . . Shame we didnt see any of your flight being business class n all . . Till next time take care . Bye from NZ💐👍👋🇳🇿🍻twa
It really was a great holiday! I think this was a tough one for us because we started by trying the travel vlogger thing and didn't exactly enjoy it lol Will try to catch the flights next time, but they were pretty standard 🙂 Thank you so much for always being here with us on our adventure! Until next time! Take Care! 🎉⛵🍻🌊😎
Well that looked fun... If tiring traveling . If the bags are heavy put more clothes on and fill your pockets. 😂 It's called journeying before you travel ...once on the way it falls away. 😉
It was all fun and games until we loaded up 246 lbs of luggage to carry around for a day 😂 But it was a great trip and a fun adventure! Thanks for coming along! 🙂🎉⛵
loved ya content as always..so nice to see you both happy and enjoying your trio to europe!! must be so nice to start your epic adventures again!! look forward to seeing you next week!!
It was a fantastic trip! Thank you so much for the kind words and support! Although this was fun, we really look forward to more boat adventures in the future :) Thanks for watching! 🎉⛵

Don't mind at all! But it is a little involved. If you want to reach out on instagram happy to talk about it more, but effectively it is called credit card churning and you are opening and closing credit cards for their sign up bonuses. Happy to chat more about it over a platform that is easier for chatting lol

I think having anxiety over the heavy luggage is a very reasonable feeling! Glad you made it safely back. Happy Sails.

What a great trip. Casper is such a super star. I’m glad that you were able to get him on film!
Indeed! Couldn't ask for a better friend! It was great getting to hang out in a much less stressful environment 🙂 Thanks for watching! ⛵🎉

Did you get any effects from this hurricane ?
Nothing so far! We are pretty up north and out of the way, but we know a lot of the south has experiences tons of flooding! Hoping everyone is okay!
