I had the pleasure of being James Instructor at Art Center.. He was amazing at sketching...and his instincts for this industry were natural.. even as a student. Cheers James, Eric Robison
Man, this episode dropped so many insights of what concept art actually is and what directors want. The part where Clyne talks about the artwork finish level is making so much sense. The same thing was said by Glyn Dillon in Ash podcast
So depressed I missed this, I have had a burning question I would've loved to ask. I am a SF fan, saw his work and instantly see he got it. The AT-AT he designed for TFA it doesn't say but shows a modular AT-AT answering the question of troop access egress was the Higgins boat 1st Order meant to dock in the front of the walker?. Plus could be brought by the lander with inter-changable parts to utilitarianly build an AT-AT and a Snow Train Sled, plus a AT-ST from the parts. Really should have gone for that, kids would have loved it and the toys would have sold. Clyne has the total SW sensibilities to design SW for me.

the podcast is good, but i think the interviewer always speak non stop for too long and don't make enough question to the guest :/
