This is fantastic! Noel's voice sounds so young and innocent....just lovely!
Going Nowhere it's my favorite Song of the álbum The Masterplan
What? Get the single Stand by me!
It's on there and hast GREAT B-Sides.
Same
álbum
Oh my. I fucking miss that old singing style SO MUCH. I'm dying for more.
This is one of my all time favorite Oasis tracks.
Noel sounds so much like Liam here
So much skill. Writing top songs AND being able to not fall over with them diddy feet
His feet are in proportion with his 5'7 frame.
I know this is apparently one of the earliest Oasis songs, dating back to before he even joined "The Rain"--believe it goes back to around '90 or '91 at latest. Judging by Noel's voice, I'd say this recording is no later than '92, and my instinct tells me its earlier...fascinating.
Didn't he record this demo track with the other at Mustique?
You maybe be right he sounds different
@@Gaenico Pretty sure this was recorded alongside the Hey Now and Rockin' Chair demos. Can't be too sure but his voice sounds pretty much identical in those demos.
@@Gaenico i don't think this is the mustique demo these had proper instrumentals while this is just accoustic guitar
@@jonasrmb01 Oh maybe, I'll go back to it to be sure, thanks for the doubt I'll have now :P
This was from a 1994 sound check with Stand By Me, Don’t Go Away, Hey Now, Some Might Say, and Boneheads Bank Holiday.
Epic song, epic photograph
'The Calm Before The Storm'
Can’t believe just found this now!! Class
Oh my!! His voice!! Love him 😍
same ♥️♥️♥️
One of the few tunes from the Be Here Now era that holds up to stuff that came before, and tellingly it's an old as fuck song.
It was written in 1990, that's probably why
@@andyfulton9603 indeed, that’s like, what I said?
Utter brilliance from the pen of one Noel Gallagher
It's amazing how he's are able to sing aswell as be great musicians aswell write amazing music
I prefer this version of the chorus.
beautiful
This is fantastic
Sounds like Liam in parts!
Here am I...going nowhere on a train
F Great!!!
I believe this was recorded by Mark Coyle during a soundcheck in Tokyo back in 1994.
nice ))
can you upload the Stand by me Acoustic demo by noel? I cant find it anywhere
when did he record the demo? that’s the important question...his voice sounds so much different/younger. it definitely sounds better than the actual version...maybe it was acoustic with the French horns, would’ve been a masterpiece
Thomas Aguayo it dates back earlier than the 1st album
In The Masterplan album it says that this song was written in 1990, but I don't know if he recorded this in that year
0:41 and the way that you'd always say
why this splendid song rarely played live by oasis? because the brass section? can anybody adress my question?( because it's one of my favourite tune in The Masterplan album..
Not so much rare as never. Pretty sure they never did this one live.
@@vincevirtua yep never, until Noel did it for Jools Holland yesterday
Playing it live this tour! Was awesome to see last night!
he sounds about 16 here
biblical
I honestly believe this is a cover and not Noel singing.
people believe the Earth is flat too.
Clearly a young Noel.
100% Noel
Destroys the album version, with 4 easy chords. The album version bored the hell out of me, but now I get it.
Julian Sp could not disagree more. For starters there is no “album version”, unless you’re talking about it being on the Masterplan. It’s a b-side. And that b-side is an absolute masterpiece with one of the best guitar solos Noel has ever recorded. I wish it WAS on Be Here Now instead of Magic Pie..
What album version? It was a b-side of Stand By Me
The b-side then.*
@@XoXo475 same absolutely love the version on the Masterplan, the music is really beautiful.
I feel this one is too slow and a bit boring, but love Noel's voice on this one sounds young.
I think a LOT of people are turned off by the organ (I think it's a Rhodes, perhaps?), and especially the brass that they decided to adorn the standard guitar/bass/drums on the studio version. If I remember correctly, in an interview for "Masterplan" Noel said something along the lines of that he was "going for a Burt Bacharach-type sound"--in a certain sense, that he was TRYING to cheese ball it up (he strongly dislikes the tune, by the way, which is why he cut it from BHN). I get why people's first instinct to that sound is "a-whaaa?", but I think that's a cryin' shame, because the studio version is easily one of my favorite Oasis tunes...that chorus, with Noel harmonizing with himself at the very tippy-top of his vocal range...the lyrics, which are like the darker cousin to a "Rock and Roll Star" or "Supersonic". It shares the rock and roll fantasy of those songs, but instead of being freed by that fantasy, in this one the singer is almost oppressed by it...it's pure daydream escapism in an attempt to distract himself from the everyday unhappiness of his routine existence. He "wants to be wild", but his outlandish dreams never get to take flight; by the end of the chorus, he's conscious, back in his seat, "going nowhere."
it's not Noel singin'
c'mon
It is 100% Noel's voice. This demo got officially released on the Be Here Now remaster box. (Just as the description of the video says). But it's probably a very early recording
