Wanted to say thank you. After watching this video I took my wife to Las Casas for our 9th anniversary. It was awesome and we had a wonderful experience.
I’m Filipino. Thanks for sharing World War 2 stuff in the Philippines. You may wish to explore that spot on Villa verde trail where the US Army’s 32nd INF DIV (Red Arrow) and Filipino guerillas fought the Japanese forces under Yamashita. There are remnants of a Sherman tank there. The road going there is nice.
That Las Casas Filippinas de Acuzar is a huge property. We stayed there in March of 2023 (this year). Had a blast. They have a continental breakfast, you can rent the kayaks and paddle about in the lagoons there. We did the guided tour of the various cottages and learned of the history of Filipino culture throughout the centuries. All in all it's a very enriching, cultural experience.
Hi Scott I have watched a lot of your vlog's and really enjoy them. I am married to a filipina from Cuyapo in Nueva Ecija and we have been married for 50 years this past March. We will be coming back to the Philippines in February of next year for a month. Really looking forward to that. I would highly recommend the Corregidor island tour it has alot of ww2 history there.
My dad was born in Orion , my mom in Pilar . I still remember going to both towns during my childhood to attend Holy Week processions . Our family still owns Santa Veronica statue that we parade in a karo during Holy Week .
