Our best score was getting 165 brand new uncirculated ike dollars from a bank. Teller said the man infront of us jyst turned them in so when we asked for silver dollars we bought them all. Dates from 1971 thru 1978 but most are 1976 bicentenial. We got 6 1072 type 2 coins and omg have we been hooked since. So thanks for that

I have a penny that has Lincoln looking in the opposite direction and it's a blank planecet on the back
I have found 4 1999 Georgia quarter errors. The Phillies seem to have double on the ribbon on the reverse along with Wisdom, Justice, and Wisdom. The 99 d has doubling on part of the ribbon. The outline of the state on the reverse is doubled to the left. I am still finding cool stuff J. Thanks. EIEI OH MY on the Ranch in Cali

These coins are very rare and definitely not easy to find. I think the chance of being struck by lightening might have better odds. Good luck searching for these.

Misprints like th we size of letters alsp an edge on some.

Question, I have a 1940s wheat penny , i hardly can see the I and the B in the Library , and also the F in the OF , and the A and the M in the America , and part of the S and T missing in the trust , do you know the value
Very informative video.. I have a quarter that I thought might be damaged, but now that I see Broadstruck coins, I think I may have a Broadstruck Michigan quarter.. Is there a way I can determine if it is actually broadstruck? weight? etc? It would be on the reverse side, the side with the State design, the other side is perfectly fine from what I can tell? And, how rare is that type of error? Should I send it for grading to be sure? is it worth doing that?
I just found a canadian 2009 penny with a half broken planchet on th obverse any clue What this error could bd worth??

Always checking you out. Got a 1971-D penny that is miss died, the "In God We Trust" is on the very edge up top and the bottom has space from the edge. Couldn't find anything on this.

What book would you recommend fir checking your coins? I have just started sorting through my coin collection. It is interesting and have gotten my 2 grandsons interested. Also, what magnified scope would you recommend?
Justin's website has a great affordable starter book and he sells scales and lighted microscopes. I would recommend buying them there. I did. There's a link to his website under the video. Good luck!

What is the best way to sell a coin of value? Where would one go to be sure of honesty?
I have one of those coins but it is the same date and it is silver
Take it to a reputable coin shop and ask them if it is authentic. If they say it is authentic, ask the market value. If it is worth more than $300 or $400 it would be worth it to get it graded by one of the services for $45. They have quite a waitlist of 3 months or more. You can get more if it is graded.

I have a Washington quarter 1990 that looks rusty. I tried to clean it with vinegar and baking soda, but it is worse. It even feels ruff. Is there something about this coin that made seem to rust.?
I have a wheat penny that’s missing it’s entire face plus the inside as well. Just a thin wall. The back side of the wheat penny looks good just the entire front is missing

There are people in the mints who must be purposelessly making these errors to profit purposefully for themselves. These errors are not accidental errors. These are rip offs by governmental employees against the public trust.
For sure, you found a real conspiracy and any employee is allowed to just walk out with coins in their pocket...
Former Philadelphia Mint police officer William Gray was sentenced to a term in federal prison Sept. 13 on charges related to the theft of error coins from the Mint facility.
The sentencing occurred a year after Gray admitted he stole thousands of Presidential dollars lacking the edge inscription from the Philadelphia Mint and sold them to a California coin dealer for approximately $2.4 million.
The former Philadelphia Mint police officer was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Noel L. Hillman in Camden, N.J., to 36 months in a federal penitentiary. Gray, aged 65, is from North Wildwood, N.J. Judge Hillman also sentenced Gray to three years of supervised release after serving the prison term, and ordered Gray to pay $15,208 in restitution to the U.S. Mint, forfeit property that is traceable to having been associated with the sale of the stolen coins, and cooperate with the IRS concerning his tax liability for underreporting his earnings.
The property to be forfeited includes $2.3 million in cash, two houses in Philadelphia, five motor vehicles, a boat and boat motor.

I have a 1977 quarter in great condition that has no ridges along the side. Thicker and almost like I could put a couple drops of water and it would hold it. I've been trying to find out more about this error. Do you happen to have any information on these?

Dang! I just cashed in $60.00 worth of presidential coins that I found metal detecting on a beach in Baja California and didn't bother to check them. How did they get there you might ask? I don't know but I will be looking them over more throughly when I go back to that area.

I also have Bi Cent 50 cent, I have 5-6 1965 quarters but there isn’t anything wrong that I can find. It seems everything has to have something wrong with them. I just don’t have error coins.

A lot of these error coins that were minted in Philadelphia were done purposely by a mint employee that was arrested by the secret service if my memory serves me correctly. I seem to recall that he was being directed by collector/buyers of what type of errors to make.

I have one of the experimental ones from 99 and its more of a dull lightly golden. The plates ones are bright and shiny. Hope this helps!

I was at the post office recently paying for a package that I want to send and they only have gold dollars coins for change because at that moment they don't have any change in the cash register. When the employee came back with a roll of coins when he opens it he gets surprised and he asks me if I know of any collectible of coins?
