Yes, THANK YOU! It’s really frustrating to me that people think Family and children animated films are the same. I can assure you they aren’t! Family films are meant to be enjoyed by everyone of all ages and children films really don’t have, if not anything for older audiences.
The comedy they achieved with Nimona's facial expressions is absolutely unmatched lol. 0:32 had me dying when I watched the movie so badly that after finishing the whole thing, I went back specifically to watch that part again. The animators should be extremely proud
The animation absolutely carried the movie. The worldbuilding was weak and the story started fizzing out halfway through but Nimona's expressions alone kept me watching to the end.
It’s a table saw, most these days are built with a saw stop, when your skin/flesh makes contact it completes a circuit that slams a saw stop(it’s basically a chunk of metal) into the blade forcing it to stop, you’ll get a nick or shallow cut at most. Seeing how advanced their society is, I wouldn’t be too surprised if that saw had one.
NIMONA:”woah sweet murder wall! Who do u wanna kill first? This guy this guy he looks extremely punchable” Bal:”you’re right he’s actually extremely punchable”
@@StephenMckeighen not really, its just how saws security work nowaday. Well, though you also need to replace them after that, but it shows the animators know their stuff.

I liked that it actually played a big part in the script and was the source of the conflict, instead of just being added as "flavour" as it usually is with this type of characters. Had they not been lovers it'd have taken away a lot of the drama in the plot
Exactly! I liked how his entire arc wasn't about "being gay" but about his relationship with Ambrosius, who just happened to be another man. Plus they're so cute together
I love how Nimona has the same energy of a D&D rogue character who justifies murdering everyone by saying "We can't get caught it there isn't anyone alive to notice us." or something along those lines. 🤣
There are models of buzzsaw safety mechanisms that will instantly stop if a person touches them. Works by detecting tiny voltage changes. But anyway that system needs to be replaced every time it is set off. Seems totally worth it to save a finger though. Anyway my god, what are her bracers made of??
Yeah, it's a subtle hint that perhaps Nimona isn't a girl and has been through some things. To the point that little things like spinning saw blades aren't worth fussing about.
This was such a great movie! Such chaotic goblin energy! I love the idea of a cyberpunk/medieval world. We need more creative worlds like this. 10/10, I have nothing bad to say about this movie.

Eeeeeehhh, he's the "responsible" one, but she's the one who provides more wisdom and guidance than him. When they disagree about what the outcome of any action is going to be, she's usually right, as is fitting since she's at least a thousand years old and he's a fresh-faced young man. If anything she's the older sister, and he's her morality pet.
