No hate to Richard, hes obviously an insanely smart, successful and rich guy. NFT's are just so hard to explain to people it sounds like a scam. I still don't understand myself how its any different than crypto. to me it seems like you're buying a pointless thing hoping someone buys it for more, in the hopes they can sell it for more.
I mean, they are scams. Same with crypto. Only crypto has , what, 3 legit coins? Bitcoin, ethereum, another one, that can be used to actually make purchases in person. That's about it, though.
its hard to explain without it sounding like a scam because it is a scam. it's buying a useless ticket that does nothing. if you think otherwise you're holding the bag.
The value proposition *is* game changing. It's game changing to drop your savings on a picture of a dolphin and lose it all when the market crumbles... Now you'll never be able to buy a house! That's a game changer!
I mean we know that’s silly but I’m trying to understand how what Richard Ryan is talking about is any different than just making an account on a website,.
@@pkaclassiccommentary so you have to imagine you're a designer, graphic designer, whatever, you make a logo for someone you can sell them the logo so you make an NFT a 1 of 1you send it to them for the payment and now they own the logo, its hard to understand because its digital and people are like ohh you own the only one, yeah right... well i just took a screen shot.. you can but you can also scan the Mona Lisa and say you own it but you don't. this idea of you're the only one who owns it is also twisted because you can make limited edition NFTs where there's 10-100-1000... in circulation so it coulda be tickets for a concert, plane tickets, obviously we do this already and they technically already are NFTs when you buy a train ticket and you add to you google/apple wallet, that's an NFT. its like the "AI" wave happening now, "ohh ai its all new", no we've had text prediction, related/recommended products, auto correct, text to speech for year, its all AI but we all going crazy over the word not realising its been here a long time people are just figuring it out

He was obviously making a hypothetical point, pretty obvious to anyone with a brain. He's basically said it doesn't matter if he gets a personal 40% discount that only he gets vs a 40% that everyone gets, he still gets a 40% discount so it doesn't matter. These woody haters can't think

richard does NOT sell NFt well. He makes them sound absolutely ridiculous. I understand the need for them, but the way he explained it would make somebody who knows nothing about them completely think they were stupid. Ill never buy them tho, cuz they are stupid.
In a conversation with these rubee, just ask them to start defining and explaing the fancy buzzeords they use nonstop. "What do you mean by value proposition" in this scenario? That usually ties them up for long enough that you can walk away.
Honestly I have no problem with this when it comes to transferring money but the other stuff that comes with it definitely scamming is going to be rampant with that.
NFT jokes aside, that dog charity/adoption system is a genuinely great idea. Having an actual connection to the subject of your charity could do wonders for these organizations.
in the case of a painting i would say the value of the original comes from the fact that the artist actually created his vision on that canvas, in physical reality, laying the paint onto it. Where as my hypothetical nft is a digital code that is an original because it has another little digital code attached to it that says it is.
@@pkaclassiccommentary Almost forgot the donations to democrat politicians and I'm sure they've done other stuff that have shown they don't deserve brand loyalty from the people they grift to.

Kinda hate but love how they keep bring on people who have no idea what blockchain tech actually is to explain it.

if a brand thinks i need to show brand loyalty they dont deserve my money. let alone my viewership.
