Yeah it's really amazing. Judging by the wig style I would've assumed her voice would've been more compromised but this was a superb performance!
She really went hard on things right after this, 05 and 06. But her voice was only temporarily damaged, it was coming back in full circle if she would of kept on the right track, unfortunately she didn't and it got bad again quickly. I love her, she was special

You know, I Looove Whitney Houston! I believe she's the Best Singer Of All Time PERiOD. She's also really Beautiful, she really was one of a kind and still is. But I had a look at the exact date she perfomed in Bejing here which was July 25th 2004. Anyway, when Whitney heard Clive Davis was receiving a big award at the World Music Awards in 2004, Whitney called him because he didn't her ask her to come (and maybe perform). She wanted to perform live on the show for Clive. That night, she performed "I believe in you and me + I Will Always Love You" live, of course. Anyway, I saw Clive Davis' documentary "The Soundtrack of Our Lives" and when Whitney called him saying: "Clive! How could you receive this award without me being there?" And he replied: "Whitney, the last time I saw you on the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary show, you were really skinny...". She said: "Clive, I'm getting better, still a little skinny but getting much better". Anyway, she was really good when she'd sung live in 2004, September 15th but when you see her at the World Music Awards, she's lost weight compared to this performance in Beijing you see here. So, a little less than 2 months have passed between this show in Beijing (July 25th, 2004) and the World Music Awards in Las Vegas which was in 2004, September 15th. I'm just trying to understand what happened😞 because you can clearly see she's lost weight in less than 2 months. If I could've done anything to help this Beautiful and Talented woman, I would've because SHE DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER, MORE 💘 LOVE, MORE RESPECT, MORE EVERYTHING 💯! Oh YES! Whitney, you are deeply missed, I mean, very deeply missed. I often hear that it wasn’t Bobby's fault. It's a little bit true BUT he certainly NEVER helped her! NEVER!!! He never properly supported her, he was jealous of his own wife!!! JEALOUS OF HiS OWN WiFE!!?? You can clearly see Whitney's life going down the day Whitney met Bobby Brown without a doubt! this was the tour that her and Dionne Warwick did, I tried to tell everybody that nothing happened to her voice vocally, it had nothing to do with drugs, anybody that knows crack, no said it's a very smooth type of smoke, the problem was she was diagnosed with COPD, and emphysema, and that's what you can here in the back of her throat, on all her horrible performances,in 2001 at the BET awards, at the Michael Jackson thing when she was born frail, how much in 2003 at the diva live, when she sang the songtry it on my own, and her and Bobby perform together, the song My Love, that was when her emphysema and her COPD will be messing up, and she never quit smoking cigarettes
I believe she was in denial regarding the state of her voice. Im sure she couldn’t imagine not having full control over her instrument and its powers at her disposal. She hid for many years behind that beautiful Godly voice and as it stripped away we saw “nippy” not just Whitney Houston.
I don't think she was in denial because there's a video in 2005 where shes in a bar starts to sing and nothing happens. I think at this point she did not care anymore about music.

@@ke83984 im referencing the years leading up to that like early 2000’s when she was heavy in her drug state. The Diane sawyer interview was proof enough. She denied like hell when it was apparent vocally and physically. She was still singing and was able to use vocal tricks to perform but the sheer natural wow factor had long faded
@@donovanrobinson1843 She wasn't in denial. She knew. Oprah asked that question to Pat Houston after her passing and Pat stated that she knew her voice wasn't the same and had changed.

This was before being Bobby Brown. After that show aired Whitney had the chance to see herself in a different light. She really became depressed after that show the marriage really went down hill. She began to really really not try it was almost like she gave up on herself. Which cause her to really smoke more Newport’s and Do drugs really really bad by then. I think it was for about a year or two then she finally had an Epiphany in decided to break free from Bobby. That’s when she moved to CALI in filed for divorce after months of him lying to her in her daughter. When she left it was to get clean in give him time to miss her so that he would be the man she needed him to be. She wanted to turn her life around clean up her image in him to so the same. But Bobby continue to let her down with her not seeing him she actually grew stronger in motivated her to file. She wanted to work in she also needed the money. If you look back in 05-07 Whitney did very little work then in 08 she was seen different awards show present not really singing because she knew her voice was so damaged. She worked with a Vocal coach who brought her voice back 85%. Once she file in the divorce was granted she really attempted her major comeback unfortunately the voice wasn't the same in the media wouldn't allow her to live her pass down. Everyday is it something different that took a toll on her and cause her to start self medicating herself once again which lead to her downfall once again. If only Whitney had the courage she shake her Tumultuous marriage in the early mid 90s Whitney wouldn't been like Mariah divorce her husband the media would said I told you so but she would've been back on top in never taken as a joke. Momma would Ruler the early 2000s. In watch as Bobby destroyed himself.

From the comments it's clear a lot of people habe never heard WH before or have serious hearing problems. Her voice is bad, real bad! She can't actually sing a whole line that sounds good. So sad. Everything about her and her life is so sad.
